Nigerians Visiting The UK From Nov' To Pay £3,000 cash bond!

Visitors from India and other 'high risk' countries in Asia and Africa will be forced to pay £3,000 cash bond before they enter UK.

The £3,000 bonds are part of Mrs May's plans to bring annual net migration to under 100,000 by 2015
According to THE DAILY MAIL Visitors from 'high risk' countries in Africa and Asia will have to put up a £3,000 cash bond to enter Britain.

The money will be kept by the Government if visitors do not return home by the time their visas expire.

A pilot scheme, introduced by Home Secretary Theresa May, will target hundreds of people coming to Britain on six-month visit visas from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The countries have been picked for their high number of visa applications and what the Government sees as relatively high levels of immigration abuse and fraud, reports the Sunday Times.

The bonds, to be introduced from November, will only apply to non-EU migrants, otherwise they would fall foul of European rights to free movement.

'This is the next step in making sure our immigration system is more selective, bringing down net migration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands while still welcoming the brightest and the best to Britain,' Mrs May told the Sunday Times.

'In the long run we’re interested in a system of bonds that deters overstaying and recovers costs if a foreign national has used our public services.'

A second scheme will cover countries such as Kenya, the newspaper reports, which are considered to be lower-risk because immigration officials have fewer doubts about migrants' plans to return home.

About 2.2million people are granted visas to enter Britain every year. Last year 296,000 people from India were granted six-month visas, as were 101,000 from Nigeria, 53,000 from Pakistan and 14,000 apiece from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka...........

  25. £3000 is not enough. They should make it £10,000.
It's about time people stayed back in their own country to develop their country instead of going to uk.

    ReplyDelete

  26. U had better check that the £3000 cash which will be deposited at the point of entry to uk is not fake currency LOL i trust nigerian people we no dey carry last hahah

  30. It's not racist at all. 1 out of every 5 visiting Nigerian ends up either overstaying or disappears. This is costing taxpayers a lot of money. Money which is meant for maintaining the working structure. 3000 is not that much compared to the damage illegal immigrants are causing this country.

    ReplyDelete
  31. ***sticking out my tongue to the people who say London is like Abuja****

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's the idea. Its an incentive to encourage people to not abuse their visa provisions. You'll get your 3k back once you return within the stipulated time.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That's exactly why they are coming up with these sort of schemes. Nigerians have abused the system here to the point where you can come here and make the comments about a country that has the best welfare system in the world, free healthcare, schools and a visibly working system. I am 100% proud and grateful to God to hold a British passport Immigration laws are changing here to weed out these abusers. Nigerians have taken things to a new level and its beginning to stink.
How can you possibly compare the UK to US? Obama's America is a sinking ship. How many Nigerians in the US are property owners?. How many Nigerians in the US even own the cars they're driving?. If you go to America on holiday and fall sick, you will die in your hotel room before you receive treatment in any hospital . In the UK, you will be seen and if need be operated on. So Nigerians capitalize on this by dropping by to give birth. Or having major surgery but not paying a penny in taxes.
Forget that Europeans and your razz family and friends have come to razz up this country. UK is highly civilised. Try and leave Hackney once in a while.

  37. The Nigerian government should immediately apply the principle of reciprocity to this situation. British citizens coming into Nigeria should also be made to deposit N30,000 to the Nigeria government.
But the clueless olodo government we have in Nigeria will not know to do that, they will simply make empty statements or at best set up a committee on the matter and that will be the end.
Nigeria is Britain's cross and Britain must carry it. Throughout history, Britain did and is still doing everything in her power to ensure that only fools and idiots gain access to power in Nigeria just so that Nigeria can remain underdeveloped and subservient to Britain and the West, now that the repercussions have set in, Britain now is not finding it funny anymore but the dance has just begun. Britain started this process by conniving with criminal Militicians to underdevelop Nigerian. Our people must continue mass exodus to Britain and Europe in search of better life by any means possible. The process has reached an irreversible point.
