British citizen, American Citizen, UK citizen...what does it matter? what is more important is where you are going. Immigrants are usually those who cannot make it in their native land or those fleeing prosecution or persecution.
If you left Nigeria to the US in search of a greener pasture, it means that you couldn't make it in this green pasture. Goodluck y'all

I love my country, I nd my siblings studied abroad but none of us gave relocation a second thought, I laugh wen I see Nigerian struggling to live abroad, e.g, graduates who work under d snow(pathetic) there's notin abroad if u re focused here, of wat use is living abroad wen u have to share a flat? Pls pls pls let's improve on ourselves nd relocation wld b a big joke.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Everyone you know shares a flat? I guess that's the level you were operating on. Not everyone is in the category you mentioned.

  37. I consider myself lucky, not that I need to declare my citizenship but first and foremost, I am proudly Nigerian. Being born in a third world country is not a death sentence. If God has written it, it will happen one way or the other, for those aspiring to live abroad where there are greater and better opportunities. Having said that, for those who can afford to give birth in the EU or US do so, nowadays it is one of the greatest gifts you can give your offsprings... No begging Mr or Ms Knucklehead to help with PALI be it blue, red, Green or Yellow. Shikeina!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I once heard that only 50000 are eligible in all these countries combined together, not for each individual country listed as eligible. Whatever the case, people will still migrate one way or the other, it doesn't stop Nada.

Hello guys..I've been reading your posts and just felt the need to add a lil something..I'm a Nigerian Citizen and also a US green card holder..firstly I think it doesn't make sense for so called "EU citizens" and other green card holders to come her bragging about what status they've acquired in whatever foreign land..it saddens me personally that I've tasted things that most of my mates haven't back in Naij..of what good is all your experience abroad if you can't contribute to the good of your homeland?..Nigeria still has potential..I did not leave for economic reasons..I only left for one reason..Education. So all of you thanking God you have whatever passports or pali you have acquired, don't forget you still have grandparents, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, even brothers and sisters back home constantly tasting what you ran away from on a regular basis.
