Tonye Harry former deputy speaker 1999-2007 and Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly 2007-2011 (he is still a member of the house)died in Algeria early hours of this morning aboard an air ambulance.
According to my source ''He slumped at Port Harcourt club on Tuesday October 1,2013 after playing lawn tennis and was rushed to the hospital. He was stable and was even talking with the doctors before travelling. The air ambulance was en-route to Paris but had to make an emergency landing in Algeria where he passed on''.
Tonye Harry was very popular in Port Harcourt.
He survived by his wife Sotonye and Children
