CROCODILE CAUGHT IN OMOLE ESTATE?

According to reports by Punch,a crocodile over six feet long was seen in the Omole estate area of ikeja recently and this has thrown the residents into fear….yes fear because It is rare to find wild animals roaming free in neighbourhoods .

The animal, which residents described as “very large”, became a spectacle at one of the gates to the estate, on Sunday, December 22, 2013. For residents not used to seeing wild animals lurking in their neighbourhoods, the sight was unexpected.
The animal had earlier been caught by the estate’s security operatives around 2am on Omotunde Akinsola Street after it strayed from a swampland at one end of the neighbourhood and Three bullets shot at the animal did not kill it.

*I wonder why they were shooting at the crocodile,na thief?e kill person?please next time they see such they should use people trained to handle such emergencies to put the crocodile to sleep and take it to a secure place….wetin concern security operatives with crocodile?
*So none of the resident had a camera phone to snap the crocodile?lol

The agency in charge of protecting humans (police) don't work how much less the one protecting animals. Please abeg. If I see a croc I will KILL it. Because if I don't save myself in Nigeria, who will

    7. I read Forestry and Wildlife Res. Mgt. There's no job for people like us in Nigeria. These are the places we are supposed to come in, but neither Govt nor private institutions send us. Who knows, if i don't divert to another field i might start my conservation mgt coy someday.

  4. Why do they have to shoot the Crocodile in the first place, there should be an organisation in charge of wildlife that are trained to handle such animals. When I say Naija is backward now they will want to rain cuss on me.

  6. Heeehn? SDK. Na who you de give that advice? LOL. It's just like saying they should call experts on wild-life if an antelope strays into the neighbourhood. Call experts...when GOD don bless person with *bush meat*. Nigerians generally don't see the importance of preserving wild-life so it will not work.

  13. SDK am sorry I av to digress but cud u pls mak a full post on Governor Aregbesola of Osun State? He's turnd Osun State into anoda thing and even bastardized d education sector. how can all schools in Osun State be wearing d same uniform? Wat if a studnt from anoda school commits an offence? He's also merged all schools together. Oyinlola spent 7yrs n had a debt of 18billion, Aregbesola has spent only 3yrs and his debt is 400billion. He has rendered local govt useless n he handles all d local govt projects( which is against d constitution). He borrowed money in d name of local govt but he dint allocate a dime to local govt and also refused to pay december salary. Pls help us out by using ur blog to bring justice.

  24. Wild life in Nigeria? Stella how Many yrs have u been away? U seem to have lost touch with your country, go to the zoos, u will be shocked, I think all they have is one or 2 monkeys. The few animals there look so hungry. I remember I got back from work one day and saw a cat chill axing by my corridor, all efforts to scare the cat away proved abortive, we tried everything and eventually we had to kill the cat oh,God forgive me but the cat was so stubborn.
