Juju Priest Butchers Man In Delta.....This Is Barbaric!

Pandemonium rocked the famous Effurun market at the weekend as a juju priests allegedly pounced on an unidentified man and butchered him with sharp objects.

Investigation revealed that the victim, who was not aware of the presence of the juju priest got what he did not bargain for when the assailant, who was apparently angry that the man failed to run when others took to their heels, dealt him several machete cuts all over his body.

It was gathered that the victim had gone to the market to purchase some food items, but unknown to him the priest and other worshippers were coming to the area.
Consequently, traders and buyers took to their heels, abandoning their goods while the victim writhed in pains.

Sources told  Daily Sun that the victim was later rushed to a nearby hospital where medical personnel were battled to save his life. The majority of witnesses blamed the man for allegedly being stubborn.

“The man saw us running and paving way immediately we sighted the juju priest and other devotees, but he refused to do likewise.

“This annoyed the priest, who descended on him,” said a young woman, who refused to disclose her name.
Meanwhile, peace has returned to the market, described as the largest in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

*WTF?They should arrest the priest for crying out loud!.....or are the policemen scared too?

    2. No be fabu o! I used to live in that area in the early 90s and everyone new about Effurun juju. You could see the entrance from the market.

      - the juju is served with fresh human head. I saw headless body along Effurun road on more than one occasion

      - the heads are harvested by devotees before the start of Effurun festival. They earn a feather for each head which is colourfully displayed on their caps and can be seen on festival parades.

      - normally, foreigners are the target for head hunters/ warriors. Indigenes would normally advice you not to move around on foot at night during that period.

      - only juju priests, approved followers and orphans can enter the shrine without harm. There was a case of a notorious armed robber who used to hide out in the shrine because he was an orphan.

      - legend has it that, when he was Bendel state gov, Ogbemudia sent some soldiers to clear the shrine but the first set of soldiers who touched the leaves from the shrine dropped dead on the spot.

      WORD!

  5. Madness all over the land!

Imagine normal people blaming the poor victim for not running away.

Was a memo sent to him that a machete-wielding Priest and his lunatic devotees were coming to the market to wreck havoc?

Stupid people all over the place! Could the priest and his devotees have overpowered the entire market if they had enough balls to defend the victim?

Its the same Cowardice that makes it possible for Nigerian leaders to loot so shamelessly without fear of being held accountable.

  11. Wow! This is so hilarious. Sounds too unlawful to be true. Maybe it was part of the script.

Third world country. Backward citizens lost in the euphoria of disbanded irritating lawlessness, all in the name of non-progressive culture.

Apart from a free-for-all-to-steal system of government, I hope we can start identifying some other problems too?

    Mehn, I just can't deal.

  18. SDK...sometimes when I see your opinion on some issues concerning Nigeria I wonder if really you were raised here. You and I know that this juju episode is alive in warri; e full ground remain. Yet you're talking about arrest? It's normal for anyone who hasn't lived in and around warri not to understand why these barbarians won't be arrested, NOT YOU. Abeg no form *oyibo* for matter wey me, you, and my fellow waffi people no say e don te wey yansh de back. Poor guy though...I wish someone had warned him on time to run, 'cos the cops will not investigate this matter. If they do, then it's a miracle.

  19. It's clear to see that in Nigeria the police fear juju priests more than they do pastors . If it were to be a pastor they'll round him up quickly but in this case, it seems they are scared. May be it's because they are evil idol worshippers in the dark.

  20. So wen we see juju priests now, we shd start fleeing? Are they not humans like us? I guess not! And to think that ppl r justifying the attack based on d fact dat d victim didnt run as others did. U see ppl runnin in different directions for no apparent reason and u join them in running? Mistake! Anyways, wish d poor man quick recovery! Wait, so theyv nt arrested d juju maniac? And they dont plan to?? Pls visit kyrahsspace.blogspot.com
