I am writing to you this because I am pained! I wish I could reverse the clocks and go back in time to retract my friendly approach to that stupid Girl!!
After now, Nigerian Celebrities will be complaining that we do not appreciate them! But it's things like this that happen that make the rest of us "average citizens" totally ignore them when we see them outside!
Can you imagine??!! I bumped into Denrele and this popular for nothing skinny a** COW. coz really, I don't know what she has done to deserve celebrity status in this country.. and on compassionate grounds I decided to give them the 'Excited fan' approach like we do in the US just to make them feel special... Denrele, God bless him was so cool about it! he smiled for my camera!.. (Thank you Denrele) .
The skinny HEIFER on the other hand excused herself from the picture and told Denrele to meet her up when he's done!! I'm like WTF!!!
I don't blame her o! because I humbled myself to make her feel special.. There is a difference between a social climbing groupie and a person with actual Talent. The funny thing is I only recognised her coz I've seen her a couple of times in fashion magazines.

On entering I saw 2 ladies standing close to the reception, one on sports wear and the other on casual, I greeted them with my church mind without looking at their faces well only for the one on sports wear to just look me up and down and throw her face away while the other cheerfully replied.
Omo I had to look again to see the face of the snob well...lo and behold, it's Kaffy the dancer.

me i don't greet all the time. First time i saw Monalisa close to Mega plaza, i looked at her as continued to walk then said congratulations. She was carrying some plaque for an award and she replied, thank you. I didn't show any emotion neither did she. Ompni Oboli was very, very nice she even authographed a souvenir a colleague from Beijing gave me. We chatted a bit about Anchor Baby and she was very excited. This was at the Palms, Lekki. Others we see and look away. Another who is nice is Nonso Diobu. He still remembers me and the movie we acted in back in 2003/2004. I try to behave and not engage in all that famzing abeg. Some people like to left alone.

DeleteThere was a day I was waiting to board a flight at Abuja airport and Genevieve passed by with her follow follow friend, she was to be on the same flight. We were all sitting in the lounge, nobody waved or even said hi. People just dey eye am from one corner of their eyes, no one walked up to her. It was when we alighted I now saw one person talking to her, she was answering him well well, maybe it pained her that no one acknowledged her and she was grateful someone finally did.

ReplyDeleteI think our female artist need to work on their orientation because they are not it at all. I am working on a project with some of them and the way i run after them can be annoying,No response to calls or emails is even big deal for them to call back,their management teams are worst. They have very bad management team people who work for them are very daft people. This girls don't even have 15million cash in their accounts but they form for africa,imagine them being the likes of Beyonce and mary j, jennifer lopez . Both male/female artist can't grow their career when they form for fans or people who wants to do some form of work with them. They should develop better ways of communication not twitter or Facebook and IG with fans and friends,create emails and direct phone numbers for their business because sometime management team you create can ruin your career you don't know all they do or how they project you as an artist. You always have to be nice to people and be serious with people so that you will be projected as a good ambassador.

I just maintained my cool and ignored her fully with her craw craw body. When she saw me interviewing Aki and Paw paw, she drew closer and starting smiling like goat. After the interview, I told her sorry I have to go becos my editors are waiting for my story. She now asked stylishly if I won't talk to her too, I told her I only interview celebrities and her interview will be rejected becos pple don't know her.
