FG denies Hiring Davis As Boko Haram Negotiator.

The Federal Government has denied hiring Australia’s Stephen Davis as a Boko Haram negotiator.
The Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, who disclosed government’s position on the issue in Abuja on Friday, said the government has no plan of prosecuting any Nigerian for now following the allegations made by the Australian.
Alleged Boko Haram Hostage Negotiator

Davis has insisted that former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff and former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika are Boko Haram sponsors.
He also mentioned an unnamed senior official of the Central Bank of Nigeria and an Egypt-based man as those funding the sect.
Davis, who refused to disclose the identity of the CBN official, said his allegations were informed by discussions he had with several Boko Haram field commanders.

But Omeri insisted that government has not hired anybody to negotiate on its behalf with the Boko Haram.
“For now nobody has been hired by the government to negotiate on its behalf with Boko Haram. Anytime the government decides to do so, it will make it known to the public.

“The government is still investigating the allegations made by the alleged negotiator. However, the government has no plan to question anybody because of those allegations made by the Australian,” he stated.  culled from thenationonline

*So who do we believe na?..The negotiator who should never have talked in the first place, the cry me a river Modu who can never agree to being a sponsor of bh or the Federal government whose initial response must be denial to save the situation.

Who do we believe? All three or none?

  4. BOKOHARAM FACTS TO REMEMBER:

Fact 1: Dr Stephen Davis was contracted by the government of President Jonathan.

Fact 2: Davis is not a Nigerian, so should not be bothered about Nigeria's politics.

Fact 3: Davis also unmasked the killer of Harry Marshall.

FACT 4: Davis is no newcomer to Nigeria's corridor of power because he mentioned advising former president Obasanjo to prosecute Sekibo the alleged killer of Harry Marshall.

Fact 5: Obasanjo has not repudiated the statement, so it should assumed that Davis spoke the truth.

Fact 6: the Nigerian Army under Ihejirika came under sharp criticism from Amnesty International for extreme cruelty and extrajudicial killings in the North.

Fact 7: Gen Mohammed Shuwa, a federal civil war veteran, was murdered by unknown gunmen, despite the huge government security around him

Fact 8: Boko Haram (Shekau variant) denied being responsible for the killing of Gen Shuwa.

Fact 8: Ihejirika was appointed in September 2010 and was supposed to retire in September 2012 based on the NA policy.

Fact 9: Ihejirika was eased out in January2014 under suspicious circumstances.

Fact 10: The relunctance of having to replace him put a burden on President Jonathan in finding an equally loyal officer to the President's political cause that a whole generation of officers (from Course 19-24) had to be retired to pave way for Gen Minimah.

Fact 11: Under Ihejirika's leadership of the ARMY, Boko Haram mutated from a ragtag group (whose leader the police extra-judicially killed in 2009) to a fully equipped and menacing organisation strutting about in Armoured personnel carriers and Tanks and Heavy Artillery guns, allegedly stolen from the Nigerian Army.

Fact 12: In all of this, the government of Dr Goodluck Jonathan which employed Ihejirika and also contracted Stephen Davis has maintained a stunning radio silence.

    1. Mumu take responsibility for your actions and stop killing your people to get sympathy from international committee. To be in power is not a do or die affair that you have to sacrifice your own people just to prove a point. Like it or not a south-south man will be the Nigerian president come 2015 and there is nothing you blood-thirsty northerners can do about it.

    2. GEJ is the main person behind bh. I guess Alimodu Sheriff has threatened to expose him if he goes down thus his denial of Davis. GEJ is the worst thing that happened to Nigeria. We forget Henry Okah accused him of being the sponsor of the independence day blast. Nigerians forget easily, it's so unfortunate.

  5. My only prayer is that all those behind the unrest should collapse and die one after the other.
They should just slip and die.. In their bathrooms preferably so they can hit their heads against tiles.
    Their offsprings inclusive.
To make up for those who had lost their lives from the onset of this insurgency.

  11. I believe the fed govt. Davis is just a confusionist and a man after his own gains. Why didn't he make all these known when he was still in naija? did he have to run back to his country before revealing all these? and to say he refused to mention the name of the Cbn official is a joke on its own. Tell us your real contractors mister or try something else cos this your tactics is not tight enough.

    1. We all know the CBN governor he is talkin about is sanusi who is APC so we can't even say APC hired him and all.. Nigeria is in trouble and we wouldn't know now until after elections then we would know what we did to our selves.. Good luck hasn't been a good president and we know this for sure deep inside us but because he's a christian and from south south,we want him there.. Truth is he can't be there forever, after 2019,a northerner would prolly become the president because let's be honest, the power is rotational. The only reason the northerners are angry is because they feel they didn't finish their own time when yaradua died and goodluck was made acting president after which elections were held and he still won, they feel a northerner should have won that time and finish their time.. Oh well, let God just help the faithful.... Next year is just around the corner

  19. This white man of dubious origin and intent must be arrested for treason and espionage. Why should his claims be in contention? He must detained and must reveal his agenda. Can you imagine a foreign national coming to the UK and pull this arrogant, self serving and disrespectful stunt? No matter how bad things are we must never join outsiders to ridicule our nation. Australia has serious immigration issues by the way. He can kindly go and negotiate with the millions of illegals they have. Kelly W.

The aussy is saying it openly because he knows the feds wont do nothing to the people behind boko boys.

Mail Online News June 1, 2014, an Australian online Newspaper, where it was stated clearly that he was hired by the President of Nigeria, with the knowledge of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby and the entire country of Australia.
Please lets vote pdp out or beg our colonial masters to come back and rule us. Pdp rule don pass slavery biko

  23. Look, this thing is simple logic!
-Federal government sees boko haram as a serious threat and they solicit the help of the Australian negotiator.
-Australian negotiator finds out some very juicy details about the whole boko haram problem.
-Australian negotiator begins to call names, point fingers and accuse those he thinks or knows are behind it.
-These people whose names have been called out hold press conferences making sure they "patience jonathan" us so that we can believe they are innocent.
-Then they go back to the federal government to bring down hailstorms and brimestones with promises of future attacks.
-Then the federal government denies ever having ties with any negotiator and life is a safer place for everyone!

    Curtain closes

  24. Denial is the order of the day.
Useless government do we expect them to come out and accept or even prosecute the culprit? GEJ government is scared of the unknown. 2015 is approaching no one is ready to fight the enemy but boko issue will get worst if the financiers and sponsors are not jailed as Mr Davis said. We all know Nigeria enemy and this government is our No 1 enemy since they refuse to fish out those destroying the country. The important thing to us is that we know few boko sponsors awaiting to hear more names.

  35. That's why it is called back channel negotiation. Anything goes wrong, government denies complicity. I can understand their denial. Stephen Davis revelation or allegations has thrown up a new security and political dimension to the whole Boko Haram menace. By the way, the DSS statement that Ali-Modu Sheriff would be invited for questioning, is one part of the political equation; he'll finally be cleared of complicity and PDP will be the better for it. APC as usual will cry foul... I smell Olivia Pope in this new play by the FG, which is now 'claiming the narrative'.
