IN HOUSE HELP NEEDED
Aunt Stella please help. I am a youth corps member in Lagos and I need accommodation. Truth is I actually didn't plan to come to Lagos. It happened that I just lost my dad and my second cousin who came from the states was around, Seeing how my uncles were disturbing and asking for my father's money $ properties which they now have( we are all girls and I happen to be the eldest) barely 3days after my dad died,he asked me to try come to Lagos for my NYSC so that he can contact some people to fix me up in a good place,Aunt Stella,he promised us heaven and earth,I even thought he has a house in Lagos. God knows my mum borrowed money so that I can do my part of coming to Lagos, but my cousin who has since traveled back to the states refused to keep his part let alone help me with accommodation. Whenever I call he is either busy or will call me back which he never does. Worst still,I was posted to the island where accommodation in or around there is costly. I was staying with a maternal uncle in a room and parlor at Egbeda but he is getting married soon and the lady is already acting hostile(met my belongings packed at a corner day before yesterday)I have obviously overstayed my welcome. I don't know what to do,I have no friends here nor did I make Corper friends since we didn't go to camp because of Ebola,my PPA has no accommodation either. ReplyDeleteI am a business man and also into the business of Agriculture (Poultry) which we have just invested hugely into in the past 2 years. I know that you are very influential in that your blog reaches out a great deal and I have made time to go through whenever I have the time to.
Having gone through Dbanj story and knowing he is an Agric Ambassador too (not Sure), could you help us talk to him or the Agric minister to urgently address the plight of the poultry farmers as it is today? An important poultry feed content SOYA BEAN CAKE has been blocked from entering this country. I don’t know by who; maybe customs or Agric ministry. This will put a lot of us poultry famers out of business and will double prices of poultry products if available. I really find it hard to understand government policies and how they implement them but I cannot mention how much we have invested in the past 2 years in poultry and we are directly employing 91 people today. They seem to say one thing and do another. I would have been better off if we invested or continued our import business and employ only 5 people. This whole thing is making no sense with encouraging people to go to Agric. It is not a cheap business o and I wonder how many people can invest close to a billion in a venture and not see progress.
I am just one silent voice and I just hope you can help to reach out there. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteshame on that faceless idiot who keeps saying that Stella is jealous of linda, why would stella be jealous of Linda, does stella beg food from anyone? is she not doing well for herslf? like she rightly said, may be you don't understand English, she is not aiming to be the first, rather she aimes to make positive impact in peoples' lives. she does not mention Linda in any of her post, and Linda does not, why do you make it sound like there is a competition between them, they are both doing very well and have different styles. in Hollywood, there are well Known Talk show hosts like Oprah, Ellen, Wendy, they are all doing the same job very well in their different styles. i am a regular visitor on both stella and linda, i visit for entertainment, they are both hard working women i respect, i do not compare them, like Stella said, the sky is big enough to accommodate all of them. so get the hell outta here you faceless idiot, i see that you are miserable.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I usually don't get into this sort situation cos I choose to read, smile or laugh and get back to work. However at this point I can't keep it in any longer. Why Why in God's holy name, will any right thinking person continue to make comparisons between Stella and Linda. These ladies are both strong in their own rights and yet are so different and represent two different worlds. While one is vain and represents everything the word "shallow" stands for, the other signifies depth, substance and remains the face of "life changing" blogging in Nigeria. 2 women......worlds apart! God bless you and yours Stella.....may you never lack as you continue to touch lives!!! You'll be pleasantly surprised when u least expect.....keep up the good work....
