ASTHMA WALK - Beat The Wheeze!

Did you know that over 235 million people in the world currently suffer from Asthmaand that asthma is the most chronic disease among children?

Did you know that asthma is often under-diagnosed and under-treated, creating a substantial burden to individuals and families and possibly restricting individuals’ activities for a lifetime?

The good news is with proper education, treatment and management, children with asthma can be active just like anyone else!

The Oluwakemi Memorial Foundation (For Children Living with Asthma in Africa) is a non-profit organisation with the mission to raise awareness and help reduce the incidence of asthma in children in Africa.

In achieving its mission, OMF has developed various initiatives all aimed at promoting increased awareness about the causes, treatment and management of asthma.

On Saturday 6th December 2014, OMF will be holding its first Annual Asthma Awareness Walk with the theme “Beat the Wheeze”.  We believe that although asthma may not have a cure, with the proper knowledge and treatment, it can be controlled.

Take Off Point: 1376 Terra Kulture at Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island
Time: 7 AM

We would be delighted if you identify with our cause and walk with us.
For registration, support and more information, please send an email to info@omfafrica.org or call +234 803 868 3334.

We look forward to seeing you there!
