According to the final votes of BBA hotspot this season, the housemate with the most number of country votes is 21 year old Idrs.
Idris received five country votes from Kenya,Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
The runner-up, Nigeria's Tayo received two country votes from Nigeria and Mozambique.
Macky2 got two country votes from Zambia and Rest of Africa.
Nhlanhla got two country votes from South Africa and Botswana.
JJ got one country vote from Zimbabwe.
Sipe got one country vote from Malawi.
Butterphly received 0 country votes.
For the housemates who received the same number of country votes, the tie breaker rule came into effect for those housemates.
According to the Big Brother Africa rules: If the Popularity vote does not yield clear evictees and there is a deadlock between two or more housemates, the percentage vote from each of the 15 regions is added together and divided by 14 in order to geberate an across the board percentage which is then used to ascertain who stays and who goes.

ReplyDeleteViewers have become so nonchalant about it in Australia. The ratings have dropped so much it's not on prime time. I was surprised that it's not streamed live 24/7. A one- hour family-friendly cut is shown about 4 days a week. No smoking, nudity or sex. The eviction is even done on a Monday!
I don't know about scrapping. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. What I like most about BBA are the Saturday parties. Mostly Nigerian music and lovely dance steps
TAYO over-deserved it. This season was so so so boring( I really needed to emphasize). Only Tayo's drama and personality gave it its needed publicity; people strted switching back to BBA stations just to watch what Tayo will do next or what he has done already. He wasn't perfect oo..he bullied, and insulted and was loud but that added to it coz that's what I reality show is. The others just acted for the camera, not getting annoyed and always thnking what Africa wil say. So to me, BBA will soon faze out coz boring dilish won last year wch made 90%boring Housemates to audition this year and anoda boring guy won.. Goodluck to Idris shaa..all na game

ReplyDeleteThis year's show was quite boring and only gingered up when Uti and co went go the house. Tayo played well, was a great entertainer but just too aggressive and has anger issues + the guy can cry for Africa. His major flaw was he didn't have that charisma of a winner, he's kinda local and too WASIUISH to wear the crown, he seemed to have given up in the last week, on top of it all, he chose to dress in rags on the final eviction day so that if even if God of wonder was gonna pull a last minute miracle, his dressing like a slave rather than a king would have ruined it.

Bigbrother africa show is not a good show. I hope Nigerians will not go next year becus the person should not expect vote from Nigeria. The show is all about regional, Nigeria and ghana are only West African and the rest are many. The show as caused hatred between Africans and no unity at all. They used tayo to make money, pple all over africa loves tayo and they voted as well. Bigbrother organisers knew from day one they are not going to give it to tayo. Tayo is always crying becus they made life miserable for him, they collected his bible, collected clothes and personal stuffs from him. But tayo was surprised to see other housemates using must of the things they said it was not allowed to use in the house. Tayo was the only Entertainer in the house, he doesn't gossip. I pray they bring back bigbrother nigeria.

Nice one Cocoz! It is obvious some peeps didn't watch the real show! They only watched on fbk! Tayo was the reason most viewers (fans and haters) watched this season as he entertained us real good. And by the way, all the ladies would have loved to have him if not that he made his stance clear. I remember when sheila quarrelled with nhlanhla and told tayo that if she wasn't evicted the following day she would come and sleep on his bed.... It was obvious that Tayo was the hotshot in that house. He wasn't the alpha male by default. The guys beefed him cos they saw him as a threat.

Idris was the only East African left in the game. Most of East Africa thus threw in their votes for him. All the six Southern Africans lost because they scrambled for the SADC votes (Butterphly even had to share Zimbo's votes with JJ). Tayo and Mam Bea of Ghana shared West African votes of Ghana and Nigeria, while S/Leone and Liberia couldn't vote because their participants were not taken this year. Tayo was thus luck to have even had Mozambique's votes, courtesy of friendship with Trezeghart. The regional bloc voting was thus the producer of the 2014 Hostshots winner. The winner was therefore not the best in Africa; and the losers were not the worst either.

ReplyDeleteNo other hm deserved the money than Tayo. He really entertained and kept viewers glued to their screen. He was secretly loved by all the ladies. Samantha really liked him at the beginning but allowed envy to take over. Sheila did not hide her feelings. Sipe said it herself that she noticed tayo on the first day and was like wow OMG but tayo never noticed her. Butibuti always blushing when tayo gave her compliments. Ella didn't hide her feelings, goitse was a buddy, mambee told tayo that she loved his swag, laveda said it herself when apologising to tayo and also the night she got drunk...and of course Tayo's sister lilian and Tayo's bosom friend small pepper. Tayo was the best dressed in that house, always on point shoes et al. What else did u viewers want? He was damp real, he was about the only one who shared his culture with other housemates. Ella, mambee and sheila even sang different yoruba songs. I can go on and on.
ReplyDeleteFor the sake of those that didn't watch or only watched highlights and the finale it is better I clarify some things. First, don't mind IK's comments on stage that idris was an entertainer. He never entertained anyone. It was tayo that did 90 percent of the entertainment in that house. Second, idris never dressed well in the house. He already calculate d his votes based on regionalism and he kept that suit for the last day. Third., he didn't deserve to win but since he was the last standing from East Africa he got all their votes. Fourth, the only thing Idris did in the house was to kiss and cuddle girls like a baby in need of mummy. Fifth, Tayo was consistently ganged up against. Other housemates feared him and couldn't face him especially jj. They waited for any situation whereby someone was quarrelling wit him and then they would join forces with the other person. They made it seem like tayo was fighting everyone in the house. Sixth, tayo got the highest votes during the 8th week. He got 4 countries while idris got 3 showing how strong he was. Ninth, only tayo got a cross regional vote at the finals. He got Mozambique which is sadc. Tenth, all the pple outside that hated Tayo hated him mostly cos he is a nigerian. U can go to bba facebook page and confirm. The fight was no longer about tayo but about "Nigerians feeling proud as if they own the continent". These haters abused nigeria with Ebola and Boko haram. So the hatred from viewers was becos of his nationalitu and It is just unfortunate that some nigerians on this thread chose to believe what they heard without serious confirmation.
ReplyDeleteTayo is the hotshot anytime. Ask yourself if ever in the history of big brother africa has anyone taking 2nd place been that celebrated at the finale. The fact that tayo was given the treatment of a winner speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteWho even knows if tayo didn't really win. It is possible that he got Rwanda and ROA and actually won but the organisers felt he would be a better ambassador for the one campaign than idris which is quite true. Immediately he was announced the winner for the one campaign we knew he wasn't going to win the hotshot. Anyway tayo will make it big here and I see endorsements everywhere. He is truly a lion.

And those of u that said he aint gat swag,lol its obvious u didn't watch cos if u did u will know Tayo had the best swag in that house. He knew regionalism will dent he's chances of winning that's why he wasn't "overdressed" yterday.

I am a Nigerian and watched the show from the beginning to the end. tayo doesn't deserve dat money, Iris did. where was regionalism when Kevin and Uti won? Abegi.. it is obvious u are one of those good 4 nothing Nigerians who go to other countries and are deported after giving us bad name. Dats why u are so particular about Tayo loosing becos other countries hate Nigeria. it's obvious u are jobless and frusterated, Dats why u have so much time to analyse from a very myopic angle. Pple are free to air their opinions, voice urs and let go. don't sit and criticize plus insult everyone who was wise and sharp enough to understand Tayo was the architect of his own downfall. even his friend king Kong came into the house and used Yoruba to advice him dat fighting only gives one a bad name. dat he should take it easy. so, what are we talking about here. pls get a life. how will u feel if all the insult tayo reigned on Sheila and miss p was directed to ur mum, sister, daughter or wife? Would u still have wanted him to win? Pls grow up.
