Stellalistic olololo, na me again ooo, Mr. Sam wife (Elizabeth ). Remember I was a year older on 27 November, since I did not see jollof or cake on my birthday and hubby was at work, hmmmm na so I con begin crave for party rice like pregnant woman (i am not preggy) no matter which type as far na where people gather dey chop am . I con remember say my church get programme on Sunday, na we go church, service finish ooo dem con say make we wait I just dey smile for my mind say the time has come for me to satisfy my urge.
Na so me and my children wait ooooooooooooooo sotay I con tire, na I stand to go ask for my kids own, dem con manage get, as a big girl shame no let me ask for my own I just dey look like dummy. Stella the truth be say since I dey small party rice no dey ever reach my side, it is either dem share food reach the person before me con go another place share food or dem go say the food don finish. Even wen I attend wedding with my hubby dem go serve am and wen dem go to bring my own food, food go finish.
Now here is what happened next, dem con announce say programme dey on Tuesday 2nd of December say refreshment dey, na so belle sweet me I con say na me go first reach there because I no want history to repeat itself. I no brush, I no bath I just rush, I con reach wen dem dey share food na so I collect my own with better bottled water. I just open the bottle water use am wan rinse my mouth na I say make I pour spit first, na so I just dey pour spit puar puar puar puar………… sotay spit no dey my mouth again, as I just say make i taste the chicken na so wake up from sleep with my pillow soaked with enough saliva.
Vex dey catch since dat dey say I no chop rice for real life and even for dream I no even taste na wa ooo party riced na real bastard.
Sorry for my long story na my true life experience. If I wasted your time just pass ( in Stella’s voice).

in Abuja. My name's Ayodele Daniel, I'm a responsible youngman - no

SDK abeg i want to report MTN to you o. This their so called 'season of surprises' na wah! They surprised me indeed by chopping my N1,500 airtime.
here's what happened.
I use a Z10 and usually subscribe for the N3,00 3GB data bundle per month. dey my own jeje last month MTN come send me text telling me that due to the 'season of surprise', I could subscribe for 4.5GB at N2,500! Of course as a true Nigerian that loves awoof, I subscribed to it.
I noticed tho that during the day timer, the network was very slow and it only got better at night. 2 days ago, I discovered i couldnt make calls even though I had some reasonable units. They kept telling me, "you have insufficient credit for this call". When I called their customer service, I was told to switch off my data befor i could make a call(imagine!). This i did and i was able to make the call. Next call I wanted to make, same thing. Again I called customer care and again I was told to switch off my data.
Na the thing I come dey do for the next 2 days o: each time i wanted to make a call, I had to switch off my data. You can imagine how frustrating this was. Fastforward to tuesday 2nd dec. I loaded N1,500 regharge card in the morning just before going into court(I am a lawyer). Of course I couldnt make a call while in court and i was there most of the day. I do recall I fiddled with my phone a few times to check on facebook messages. When I got out of court at about 2pm, I tried to make a call, got the same message that I had insufficient balance and so I checked my account balance and to my surprise found N200! Na so I begin call customer care again and thats where the drama began...

MTN and you cannot make calls...
ME: Yes...
MTN: can you tell me the phone you are using please?
ME: Z10...
MTN: Okay you say you are using a Z10
ME: yes...
MTN: Do you have an active data plan
ME: Yes
MTN> Okay let me look into your record...
ME: Okay..
MTN: (2 mins later) I am still with you...
ME: Okay...
MTN: I'm still with you...
ME: Okay...
MTN: I'm still with you...
ME: (silence...)
MTN: I'm still with you...
MTN: (Finally after what seems like an eternity) I am very sorry but I cannot access your records, you"ll have to call back later bla bla bla thank you for choosing MTN"
Next thing, i get an sms saying " Dear Roseline, your request with reference number 1-20160778565 has been resolved. thank you for choosing MTN." I checked my balance, still N200 naira, Sho! When dem come take resolve the request naa??? so I waited till the next day and called customer service again:
MTN; "hello and thank you for choosing mtn, my name is blablabla and who am i speaking with?
ME; "my name is Roseline
MTN: May I address you as miss or Mrs?
ME: Miss please..
MTN: Okay miss Roseline, are you using your phone to make this call?"... Same conversation as above played out a second time! This time I got a reference number 1-20180400762 stating that my complaint had been resolved and yet I still had N200 balance and could still not make calls. Called again third time and faced the whole "shall I address you as Miss or Mrs' drama again and finally, the customer care person (ref no 1-20183374088) explained to me that what happened was that the 4.5Gb offered was actually 1.5 for DAY time and 3GB for NIGHT and I had exhausted the 1.5 for the daytime and so since my data was still on, they had taken out of my main account.
Imagine that! Who gives 1.5BG for day and 3.5 at night? Why on earth would I sit up at night to browse? I be winch??? How do you call that a promo??? Then even if I had exhausted my day time plan as they said, does that mean I was charged N1,500 for using my phone to check facebook??? haba? Thats day time robbery naa MTN!!! I have been a faithful MTN customer for over 10years now. I have used the same line throughout and I load an average of N6,000 every month. In the over 10years that I have used MTN, I have never won as much as a PENCIL in any of their promos. I have also never bothered to subscribe to any of their freebies(buy one and get 10 free, dadada...). Just this once I decided to save N500 out of my usual N3,00 bundle and MTN has robbed me of N1,500. Some surprise that is! I never bothered to file a complaint to the regulatory agencies because i know the money i'd spend pursuing it back and forth would at the end of the day exceed the N1,500 airtime.
Due to the aforementioned trauma and irreparable emotional distraught that MTN has caused me (N1,500 no be small money o), I hereby make the following demands of MTN:
1. Immediate return of my N1,500 airtime
2. Unreserved apology in two national dailies with my photo boldly displayed in the said papers(As I fine small make I take style display my photo naa... lol)
3. Free unlimited airtime for life
4. Free unlimited airtime to SDK so she can be giving same to blog visitors daily
5. That MTN makes me an ambassador forthwith on the same endorsement fee as other celebrity ambassadors (they can call me the 'faithful customer ambassador' or whatever).
If MTN fails to meet my demands within 48 hours, I shall boycott all MTN services:I will not load my MTN line, I will throw away my MTN sim pack, refuse to pick any call from an MTN number, destroy anything that has the MTN logo within my reach. Infact I shall even break my TV set if they dare show any MTN advert on it!!! Its about time someone started doing collateral damage to these networks!

PLEASE READ THIS NEW SCAM SENT IN BY BLOG VISITOR.
My friend's dad....he is the clerk and secretary of ***** state house of assembly and In one of their political gatherings he met one man that looks rich
too(rich rich friends) and they became friends good friends mainly
through phone calls and social media.
After some time this man told the clerk that he wanted to travel out
and according to the Clerk,he did.
Few days later he told his friend that he needed a local acount
no...first bank to be precise so he could transfer a huge amount of
money to him( the clerk)..he sensed scam but played along and he sent
him his first bank account number which he already knew he wouldnt
send any thing into....but to his greatest surprise he received an
alert for the said amount and this scamer called to confirm it.Few
days passed and he told he sent him another account no to help him
transfer that same amount to claiming he is back in the country.
Like an honest being would do the clerk went straight to the bank and
transfered the money to him,not knowing he transfered his own money
and he didnt send any amount in the first place.
Unluckily for the clerk, he got the alert for the transfer in the
night and that was how he noticed his own real money is missing.
He went to the bank furiously the following day and he explained his
predicament but the the banker told him no one sent him money from
anywhere...he showed the bankers the alert he received for the sent in
cash...they replied by telling him the scamers must have used a kinda
customized bulk sms(I know that).
This is the confusing part,the clerk then asked how did the scammer know
the initial amount in his account that it added up so correctly with
the unseen money he sent(an insider or bank official at work) ,they
said they wouldnt know and he should ask who ever he told his account
balance as at that time.
The case died down just like that and up till now the scamer is untraceable
Yahoo is no more fetching cash,this is the newest scam
Pls do not show anyone or tell anyone your acount balance....cousins whatever...God bless.

DeleteThe clerk and the scammer. E yah, serious one chance of the highest degree. Some thieves won't even run, they'll just lie that they had a biz transaction with the clerk and he paid for it. Koro koro lie wey fit kill person. And for being such a neat job it would be his words against his. People may end up calling the clerk a thief for getting into the deal. Na to just quietly nurse the loss and be careful next time.
I keep hearing about this fake bank alert. Stella perhaps u can dedicate a post to this issue for a better understanding. Because some people will not know, especially if u operate an online business or are out of town to cross check with the bank physically

ReplyDeleteSo I made another friend through SDKB. I was on a train and heard someone start speaking Yoruba on the phone. I used side eyes to look at her, stared for a while because she's mixed race and I wanted to be sure. She finally caught my eyes and stared back till I backed down. She was on the phone through out the journey but I caught up with her at the interchange when we got down.
As we walked to the car park together, we introduced each other. She spent her first 12 years in Naija, moved to the US, married her Australian husband there and moved to Australia with him last year.
As I made to save her number on my phone and slid it on, Stella's blog was on show. She said, "oh you visit Stella's blog"? We didn't ask each other for blog IDs(well, she knows mine now) but she said she wrote in a featured problem on chronicles recently (of course I didn't ask which).
She said she was looking for a diverse range of opinions but unfortunately most BVs reechoed Stella's advise.
I understand we all love Stella and want to show loyalty at every opportunity but please, be yourself. Give your own opinion, someone might just be depending on it.

**whistles** na so I carry my two left legs to the place. And as I entered the manager came up to me and said yes can I help u? I said excuse me (narrated the issh)...and this fool responded rudely that ehn, if u like u can shout o, there was nothing wrong with the pie bla bla. I said where is it, my girl now pointed at the idiots that ate it and they kept mute. The manager went on and said ehn, maybe it's ur mouth that is sour. Ohhh jeeezzz..i said na ur mama mouth go sour not mine. I lost it.
One man came and tapped him to Shutup that customers are always right. I said sir, leave the idiot and I'll show him another level of Rascalism this night cos u must think I'm a bolo. He gave that annoying i dont care grin and I just cleared thier cashier desk, took like 10 loafs of bread, carried the promo nonsense cupcakes they displayed, I wanted to proceed to the oven side when the bastard said oya give her a refund for only one meatpie..i said u must be mad and so are the owners of Tantalizers that employed u. I lost it and could only hear my own voice and I didn't give a hoot who was looking.
I said no need I already have enough stuff worth more than the 500naira for meatpie u hia? Was on my way out with their stuff when he brought my full money. Na so I take drive off. ReplyDeleteThey find new and better ways to reap people off and if other Nigerians allow them not me oo.
Since I've been loading my etisalat I've gotten countless free airtime and even a call from them thanking me for being a top customer, meanwhile mtn na to dey remove credit them sabi.
Though etisalat data is just as expensive but mern the 4G is so fast on my android, in my area MTN hasn't 4G. Plus a time I mistook a code and sent with my etisalat for data I called thier customer care I didn't a gazzilion hours unlike MTN the customer care reps were efficient and my credit was refunded MTN customer care always repeat I can never get a credit refund.
My dear save yourself the headache you can't get a kobo of your credit deducted from MTN oo.
And because of your contacts don't throw your sim away keep it on but don't load it, if 500,000 Nigerians can do this they would sit up.

DeleteFor d lady that mtn frustrated, u are not alone. Those people are bunch of thieves. I was their slave but thank God am free now. Imagine having to put ur data on and off. My call credit were deducted severally with no explanation and anytime I call their customer careline, they're always unable to proffer solutions. My friend Tessy recommended glo to me and it's been awesome. With glo, it's Internet access unlimited. 3GB for 1k. Ask around.

Madam,u seem to be forgetting that 2 or more persons can have the same opinion about a particular thing @ the same time.I really don't see it as ass licking,i just assume that they see stella's opinion (@ that moment) as been the same as their own.So they feel it's not necessary to write it out again but rather they just acknowledge that she has written what they would have done.
