A police officer who was arrested over claims he slept with three prostitutes while on duty in Greater Manchester has resigned.
The constable was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, and an investigation has been launched by Greater Manchester Police's Professional Standards Branch.
He resigned earlier this month and remains on bail until February.
A police spokesman said the allegations concern three women.
"Greater Manchester Police's Professional Standards Branch are investigating three separate allegations that a police officer had a sexual relationship with three women whilst on duty," he said.
"The offences took place on different occasions.
"A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, he remains on police bail until 4 February 2015.
"He was placed on restricted duties but has subsequently resigned."- BBC
