Mike Okiro Chairman Of Nigerian Police Service Commission Conferred As Grand Matron Of Pageant Association (ABPFEON)‏

Dr. Mike Okiro, chairman of police service commission yesterday played host to theAssociation Of Beauty Pageants and Fashion Exhibition Organiser of Nigerialed by its president, Hon. Ejiro Okpihwo and Matron Princess Sandra Oladele. 

During the visit, Alex Nwonkwo the secretary general of the association and Queen Tope Adeniji former Miss Ambassador for peace south west who made the initial address appreciated the chairman and the directors of the commission for giving them the rare opportunity to appear before them. 

They also buttressed on the need for endorsement of the association and security protection for beauty queens in Nigeria as this is not only pertinent but extremely essential for the continuous growth and sustenance of the beauty industry.

‎Speaking to the organization Dr. Okiro who received the team comprising of some executives members and some selected National Beauty Queens said that he was impressed with the set up of the association which is designed to checkmate the activities of beauty pageant and fashion events in Nigeria, according to him “ I know so much about pageantry in Nigeria and it’s a platform that has helped so many young ladies to get engaged meaningfully and productively instead of living low life’s with a corrupt mindset"

He further pledged his support and thanked the organization for considering him as the Grand Patron. The former IG of police promised to identify with the beauty Queens especially in their individual projects and events.  Though, he started his speech with a minute silence for late beauty Queen and MBGN model Esther Kanu who passed on recently. 

While presenting the certificate of Grand Patron to the chairman of police service commission, the president Hon Ejiro promised to saddle the ship of the association with integrity and hard work as he pleads with the commission to give them the necessary support to enable them sanitize the pageant industry and build a formidable association that will unite one of the oldest entertainment and youth empowerment platform in Nigeria.

The association's constitution was demanded by the police service commission for endorsement and disciplinary approval  to enable the organization act on tenets and the laws governing it.  The 10 selected queens who represented the national brand were admonished to take advantage of the opportunity the crown has afforded them.
