Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative....

Wow!

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

SPOTTING A FAKE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL FROM MEN IN THE DIASPORA.
Hello Stella,
I have been following up on the ladies sharing their experiences on fake marriages and how they were almost deceived into one and I thought to share my own experience and also to advise ladies on this issue.its kind of long but please bear with me.

I am 26 years old and I have never been the type to be desperate for marriage because I believe I have lived a responsible life and when it's time the right man will come. In august 2014, My family friend introduced me to a Nigerian guy who is based America and  as God will have it I was traveling to America the next month.

From the first time we spoke he wanted to speak with my father( which he claimed to know when he was younger and still in Nigeria), my mother and brothers but I only allowed him to speak with  my mother and within the next 3 days he was already talking marriage. before I was introduced to him I was applying for my Phd in the UK, I told him about my plans and he told me I shouldn't worry, that there was a way to give me a stay in America and I bought that.

Even before I got to America he was already trying to control me, he would complain when I missed his calls, told me to stop speaking to other  guys, and would ask for what I wore daily and even Try To control  my outfit, he always wanted to talk to me up to the extent that i started getting irritated by his calls, I kept quiet and said nothing.

His brother called me and said he wanted to come to my house and see me, I wasn't having that because they were moving too fast, I told him I haven't seen your brother before and he replied ''we want your family''.... even his mother wanted to come see me but I refused.

Fast forward to when I got to America, I was in Houston, Texas and he was In Oakland,California, I couldn't get a line the first two days and as such we had to communicate through whats app and this guy insulted me,(normally i am not the type that takes shit from anyone but i was trying to change and be a better person).

when i arrived Houston i stayed with my uncle for like a week before moving to a hotel with my sister and her husband. I told my uncle about him and he insisted on speaking to his guy and he didn't like that, he  said my uncle didn't want my happiness. my uncle finally spoke to him and told me to forget him because he felt the guy was a liar and isn't a citizen but my uncle was assuming based on their conversation.

i finally left for the hotel to be with my sister and her husband and this guy nearly blow up our hotel phone, he called every two seconds, I got mad and decided that I wasn't interested, I didn't like him.he went ahead to report me to my mum, he always did.My mum called to scold me,she even went as far as not speaking to me for 3days, in my mom's mind her daughter had found a husband, and i was trying to destroy the opportunity. let me just add that this guy had a sugar coated mouth and could make almost anyone like him, except me off course.he could make noise, always boasting to the extent that we thought he was a millionaire.

After my mum stopped speaking to me over the fact that i wanted to destroy this opportunity,i decided to go to California to see him,he booked a one way ticket. when I got out of the airport, I saw this short thing and by the way i am a tall girl, this Mitch lied to me that he was 6ft and he was like 5ft7, I kept quiet. then we got to his house, this guy lived a ghetto!!!

Then came his room, one room ,mattress on the floor, old TV, dirty rug, I thought I was dreaming, he was completely the opposite of what he said he was, I was very disappointed but I played along, he would fight to wash my panties, wanted to spoon feed me, this guy was so protective that he even followed me to the toilet, he didn't want me speaking to anyone, even my friend who is a married woman who lives in San Diego.

He would get mad when I spoke to her, it was so irritating, we fought a lot, his mum would call, and my mum would call, I got fed up and told my mum that he wasn't who he made us believe he was that he was a broke ass liar.

Then I asked to see his passport, he said he wasn't a citizen but he had a green card, okay fine, can I see?, he couldn't produce it, then I knew I had to leave.

His mum was the most irritating of all, she would call and be begging..... We finally made an appointment to see a lawyer who was supposed to process my stay , but I couldn't leave In the projects for one more second so I booked a flight, came up with a lie and left with the pretense that I was gonna come back, got to Houston and soon my return date back to Naija came, a night before my return, I decided to call the lawyer and check her out on the Internet, this lady studied law in Akwa,in Nigeria and I know very well that someone who read law in a particular country cannot practice outside that country , I gave her a call but she didn't seem to know the guy I was talking about, then she told me the only way to stay was either a fake marriage, asylum or through work permit, so I promised to call her back the next day which was the day of my flight.

I was at the airport when this lawyer lady called me back, and asked for my age and I told her, she said if she did anything to me God will never forgive her, she told me that she didn't know this guy, he called her and begged her to co-operate with him to dupe me of about $10,000, that I am from a rich home and they will make a lot out of me, i was shocked, wow!

She told me he had no green card or what so ever in America and to be very careful with him, I kept my cool and came back to Nigeria and I told my mother about this and she stopped taking calls from him and his family, I finally confronted him one day and he denied, I called his mum and brother and threatened them to never call me again else I was gonna get them all arrested, then I became convinced this guy was a psycho because he refused to leave me alone, he would message me in the morning afternoon and evening liked nothing happened, I then threatened to report him to the American authorities that he was an illegal immigrant and also to include his address and that was how I never heard from him again.

Ladies, if you observe the pattern,These fake men are always In a rush to marry within a week of meeting you, secondly, they are always reporting to the parents, always watch out for this signs and others. patience is the key, now I am my soul mate and the love of my life, never be in a hurry, God Has a plan for you, the right man will come along ,
Stay blessed.
 ******

Wow,aint you lucky?....some Ladies dont get this lucky because the pressure on them to marry makes them so desperate and blinds them.

I wonder why they lie to get married...like lies sustains a marriage?..Hissss!

Some will read this and wish they saw the signs cos we have very beautiful well brought up Ladies trapped in Marriages like you described with men in the Diaspora.

The dude obviously doesn't love her. He wanted to scam her.
This is how abusive marriage jets off! He is not intending to marry her cos he loves her but because of what he can get from her.
He hasn't married her, he is already controlling and acting upp. Assuming he does, what becomes of her? A punching bag? or even a dead woman. (God forbid)

Desperate ladies most often the case make this mistake. Not looking before they leap all cos they just wanna be married due to whatever pressure.
That's the point of the story

  37. Thanks for sharing poster. I hope many ladies will believe and see some of the signs. There are many single beautiful and hardworking ladies in diaspora, why can't men in diaspora find any to marry? #ask yourselves this question# Some tell lies about diaspora single ladies to get sympathy from ladies back home. Some men wants ladies they can control and manipulate, that is why they go back home to marry. When these ladies join them and later open their eyes, that is when the fighting and accusations will start, and next thing we would hear is PO-OWH!

  47. Wow! I enjoy reading ur chronicle very eye opening.

I went to visit a friend of mine in Germany last year , I spent about a week there then I noticed dat there's one particular guy always sitting in the kitchen, I ask my pal dat who is dis guy and she said d guy has no place to stay dat he came to beg her man to allow him stay in d kitchen since d kitchen was big so dey allow him,

so I started feeling pity for dis guy oooo I will go seat with him just for gist,,,

he was so friendly and funny too den I ask him about his babe and he said she's in naija

He showed me her pics sdkers u won't believe d beautiful queen I saw in d picture, d babe clean finish..... And she's a final year student in unilag oooo

So one day he said he wanted me to say hi to d babe but I shouldn't say anything about his condition dat he's gonna tell d babe dat I am his new tenant shuooo..

So I decided to play along. So after d call, I later ask him y he wasn't truthful to the babe, omo guy hala noooo dat she's from a very rich family dat if he marry dis babe he will never suffer in all his life! He showed me d pics of her dad..... Looking at d pics alone u don't need anyone to tell u dat d old man is loaded.

Dis guy am talking about has two kids, he left a pregnant woman in Spain and relocate to Germany though he does black job in Germany for a living hummm

Yesterday my friend called me so I ask after d guy and she told me he travel to naija for his wedding. She send me his introduction pictures thru whats'app... I was like ooooo I pity d babe,

D most funny thing is that anytime d babe ask him to send him instant selfie, he will run to d visitors bedroom or bathroom to snap pics.

I forgot to add dat both d guy and d babe are yorubas, u need to see dem using yorubas to play love awwww I fall inlove....how do dey call my husband in yorubas???....

  55. I was once in this poster's shoes o, the guy even turned my family against me. They all felt he is genuine and I was being stubborn but I read the signs. His own is even worse, wanted to marry me under 2 weeks and live in Naija for like 5 yrs before moving in with him. In short, all that happened was like African Magic. We later found out that he had a family there and wanted to marry a Nigerian wife for him mum (working class/rich girl who they can exploit), he is also super poor. The guy stingy die. Fast forward to this year, (I'm already married to a good man though) my brother called me that the guy had issues with his green card wife, and is currently suffering in the village with the wife he married after I stood my ground I wasn't marrying him. He was deported. My parents are currently so grateful I said nope then o. Ladies shine your eyes.

  56. Stories like this tend to make me laugh because its SO one-sided.

You seemed to have a negative evaluation of the guy, his mother, his looks, his lawyer and the whole situation from DAY ONE but you were still obviously headed towards marriage.....WHY????? Your mother? O pls.

As a guy who lives in the US and have seen the sorrow these kind of arrangements bring, dont make it seem as if your MOTHER is fully to blame and you do not share fault here.

FACT: You WANTED to marry him because you wanted papers EVEN with all the faults you saw from DAY ZERO. And he wanted to CON you because of it. Your greed led to this.

Why do Nigerians have a sickening obsession with what grown women do with their vaginas? I've observed this over and over again on this blog. The hypocrisy is nauseating. I get it when the question is asked as a joke but when it becomes a pattern...then something is wrong.

Poster might have been desperate for a while but she was at least able to extricate herself from the situation unlike some that send Chronicles here even after all the signs.

Poster, well done. God will give you your own man at His own time. Your story should be a lesson to the ladies that will fall for anyone once they hear the word marriage.

  69. dont get this chronicle! So, the guy was not what you expected to see at the airport, you played along, fine! However, him wanting to wash your panties et all meant you stayed more than a day there. So, you've sent this in bashing the guy etc etc but was willing to stay with him until he failed to show you his papers as he said.
Kind'a makes me think you would have ignored all his shortcomings, height, living in the projects, if he had papers!

  71. I hear and see these kind of stories here in US. My advice to anyone in a relationship with abroad folk is to ask to visit first to make sure they are truly what they seem to claim. Most of our brothers and sisters here are suffering. Some don't have papers and some in pali marriage. Ask questions, dig around before you fall mugu.
As for the lady that studied law in Akwa, she can still be a lawyer in US. There are few states in US that allow lawyers from other countries to take the bar exam and once they pass, practice. Immigration law is one of the common practice for foreign lawyers.

  77. Thank God you were able to afford to go to America on your own.....most of the ladies who fall victim have never travelled before , so when they hear America they do a backflip...because they can't go and verify, the guy loads them with lies and keeps coming to naija till he marries them...when they eventually travel they meet serious shockers....ladies should learn to give relationships time, it does bring the opportunity to test a person in different scenarios.....nothing wrong in marrying a guy who lives abroad but listen more than you speak..ask them questions and listen to how they answer....above all calm down and pray well...
