Emeka Ike Constitutes New Board Of Trustees For Actors Guild Of Nigeria (AGN).

PRESS RELEASE

''Smarting from his victory at the federal high court on March 16, 2015 Amb. Emeka Ike president of Actors Guild of Nigeria is set to unveil a new board of trustees for the Guild
A statement signed by the National PRO Mcsmith Ochendo said that the new board of trustees is made of men and women of repute drawn from the six Geo-political zone of the country.

The 15-man Board which shall be inaugurated in May is made of erudite politicians, Business moguls, the academia and the entertainment industry - Nollywood.

“When the full names of the newly constituted Board of Trustees are finally made public the industry will be proud of the men and women who have made their mark in their various fields of Endeavor. Take it from me, AGN is now global brand and can no longer be run like a personal enterprise by a few” Ochendo said

A federal high court sitting in Lagos had dissolved the Ifeanyi Dike led Board of trustees for running the affairs of the Guild since inception.
Speaking further the AGN National PRO said...

“We want to appeal to the Nigerian Media to stop referring and relating to Ibinabo as president of AGN, because she has been sacked by the federal high court. Ibinabo Fiberesima cannot be bigger than the laws of our land. She is violating a court Judgement and the media should stop indulging her.  As at today there is no proof that Ibinabo fiberesima has filled any appeal but she keeps spreading falsehood on social media.

The court is not swayed by social media propaganda. The Federal high court gave her ninety days to surrender the Guild’s documents in her possession and the court also ruled that the Guild’s account should be audited but Ibinabo is using thugs and cultists to harass our President, Amb. Emeka Ike and auditors sent to audit the Guild’s account as instructed by the federal high court.

To this end we have filed contempt of court against Ibinabo fiberesima for violating court judgment and deceiving the Nigerian public. We are also asking the court to grant us order to immediately arrest Ibinabo and bring her to Judgement once and for all. We have also decided to write to the EFCC to investigate her financial misappropriation. Remember this is the same Ibinabo Fiberesima who was convicted in a case of man-slaughter between her and the government of Lagos State a few years back where she caused the death of Dr Suraj Giwa, a US trained doctor via drinking and dangerous driving and was sentenced to 5 years in prison before Hon. Justice D.O Oluwayemi with suit NO LD/4CA/07.

She has not shown any remorse, she has not served her jail term. She is an ex-convict. She ought not to be AGN president, even our guild’s constitution forbids it but Ifeanyi Dike and his moribund BOT shamelessly plunged the guild into this mess until the court did the needful by sacking the Jezebel of Nollywood” Ochendo concludes.

I read through this press release and shook my head in shock that anyone would sit down to draft such..why try to use a woman'S past to judge her and bring her down just because you want to become President?
WHY JUDGE?

Are you God?

Is Emeka Ike without sin?

This press release is wicked and Malicious and it is a pity.Nollywood will never go beyond where it is with this mindset.

    2. Well truthfully speaking if there's a law against an ex-convict being president then ibinabo shouldn't be there. It wasn't her fault we know but a law is a law. Why is agn hell bent on ibinabo not being their president? There's probably more to it.

Running a school without paying teacher's their salaries, and also insulted and almost physically harassed the old landlord? Then his furniture was put out on the street to disgrace him. With such sense of irresponsibility, how can he be bold to condemn another person in public???. Na question I ask. Issshhh

    5. Put the truth in focus. I don't care Emeka whether he paid rent or not or beat Emma - that has no bearing in this case..

I'm more concerned with the law. So, is there a law that prevents an ex convict from holding the position? If there is and regardless of what Ibinabo has done or didn't do for the guild, the question remains - why was she president?

    1. Truth be told, if Ibinabo has been relieved of her duty as AGN president by a reputable court of law, then she should respect herself and abide by the judgement.

Let's not mix sympathy with the situation. Although I do not support her past being repeated at the slightest argument with her colleagues. It's so juvenile. But let Ibinabo comply with the rule of law. Simple

  16. Stella, truth be told, I've got nothing against ibinabo but someone with such past shouldn't hold a position of that magnitude. Its as simple as that. And no, I do not think emeka ike deserves to be d president. How ibinabo became d president is something that still baffles me, I have never seen her in any nollywood movie or aren't u supposed to be an active actor/actress to hold such position?

Before una start with una curses, the last part is an obvious question.

Here is a country where sum1 with go to jail for stealing food for his family yet she walks free. Let's call a spade a spade! The court court has ruled, she should follow d judgement and lick her wounded ego. Shes being parading herself like sum1 who is above the law.

Emeka your time has come! U have waited this long and finally vindicated. Justice may be prolonged, but its not denied. 51. To All Nigerians,

I will like to say I do not know Emeka or Ibenabo. But I am on the side of Emeka...
Why are Nigerians like this? Why is anyone above the law? If you have such blemish why come out for public office? You will definitely be put under scrutiny? It is with this intensity we must stamp corruption. She is from the same place as GEJ, and we all know that she had his backing. But why not do the right thing?
The bible says we must take it violently. We cannot allow this to happen. To see the things people write in response is shameful....if it was your family member that got killed and the person responsible has not done their time instead is holding a big position in society, will you like it?
Ride on Emeka...lets get rid of this trash that give Nigeria and Nigerians a bad name. Only to go to Aso rock everyday that's all they know.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ah ah u have made salient points but would like to take lightly the bible quote u mentioned. "The violent taketh it by force" isn't only applicable to Emeka, perhaps Ibinabo is taking it by force too. Lol.

But seriously, I agree that Ibinabo should respect the ruling. But my question is thus, why did the guild cooperate with Ibinabo from the onset if the mandate was against her?

Why is the entire group parading her as president at all? And why is Emeka the only one protesting against the illegal presidency? Are the others oblivious to the court decision or what?

And lastly, for the sake of the memory of the deceased and the bereaved family, this people should stop mentioning the deceased in their banter. This will only refresh healed wounds and would bring to remembrance the unfortunate incident. Can they at least respect that? Not for Ibinabo, as I care less. But for the family of that man.

  99. Howdy are using Wordpress for your site platform?
I'm new to the blog world but I'm trying to get
started and set up my own. Do you require any
coding expertise to make your own blog? Any help would be greatly
    appreciated!
