ReplyDeleteThe Supreme court, on Tuesday, dismissed the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate in the last Ekiti State gubernatorial election Dr Kayode Fayemi,against the victory of Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The apex court upheld the judgment of the State governorship election petition tribunal and the Appellate court tribunal judgment already delivered in favour of the defendant and INEC respectively.
In its ruling, the chairman of the appeal tribunal of the supreme court dismissed the petition of the APC for lack of merit.

The impeachment would be in the hands of the state house of assembly which is still ongoing.
Maybe i am not the one understanding this but it seems even if he wins this particular case, it is not yet uhuru for fayose as he still has the impeachment by the house to deal with.
