Nigerian, Ola Akande, Becomes First Black President Of Westminster College, U.S

A Nigerian man, Dr. Benjamin Ola. Akande, has been named the president of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri to replace the current president, Dr. George B. Forsythe who has been president since 2008.

The announcement was made in a press release by chairman of the Westminster Board of Trustees, Wallace L. Head:

“We’re proud to introduce Dr. Akande as president of Westminster College.”

“We’ve achieved our year-long goal of finding the most qualified person to lead Westminster and to continue executing our strategic plan."

Dr. Akande, Dean of the University's Business and Technology School, will become the 21st president of Westminster College in Fulton and the first African-American president in the college’s 164 year history.

The professor of economics also leads Webster’s global Office of Corporate Partnerships.

Originally from Nigeria, Akande said he also hopes to continue Westminster’s strong focus on outreach to international students.

“I came here 34-35 years ago as an international student and look at me, I'm president of Westminster College,” Akande said.

    2. How about the yoruba woman that planned with her yoruba husband, her entire family and her entire inlaws to kidnap the Orekoya kids. Hope you will not say she is from the north.

  12. You see Yorubas. They DO NOT play with education.
    I love them for that

    2. They do not joke with their language. A junior workers greets n converses with a Yoruba oga in vernacular. An Igbo boss will NEVER speak vernacular with you.

    3. But why have Yorubas kept this secret for this long?
    Why wont they share?
What is that thing they eat or drink that gives their females great butts?
    I do marvel ooo.
    Someone should tell me pls

  16. Westminster, I heard it and some comments on oba akiolu speaks the opposite. Yorubas want the igbos in lagos to leave lagos on a slightest provocation, this world is for everyone, let's embrace peace. Everyone is free to live wherever he or she wishes to live.
