The Silverbird Man Of The Year Awards 2014 held yesterday May 3rd, 2015 at the Eko Hotels.
Highlights:
Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, emerged the 2014 Silverbird Man Of The Year. He was presented with the prestigious award by the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
In his acceptance speech, Uduaghan specially thanked the Silverbird group for the honour.
He also explained that the reason he withdrew from his senatorial ambition in the 2015 general election was because he wanted peace to reign in Delta State.
He dedicated the award to the ‘Peaceful’ co-existence of all the ethnic groups in Delta State.
Dr.stella ameyo adadevoh, First Consultant, Lagos state and rivers state government were recognised for their roles in Fighting Ebola.
Gani Fawehinmi got a Post Humous Award, while Muhammed Fawehinmi received the Award on his behalf at the Silverbird Man of the Year Award 2014.
A solar powered car was unveiled by Ben Murray-Bruce after his speech at the Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.
Other celebrities spotted at the event includes Senator Ita Giwa, Yvonne Vixen Ekwere and Halima Abubakar.

Silverbird Man of the Year has lost its credibility. This is now PDP Man of the year. I don't know much about Uduaghan's administration of Delta State, but why ask controversial Fayose to present the Silverbird Man of the Year award? I'm not for or against Fayose, but with the public mudslinging he singlehandedly carried out during the presidential campaigns, no decent organization with credibility should give him such recognition.
