      Anything maths is not for Precious Ibik. So i got maths F9 in WAEC, got maths F9in NECO. Wrote GCE hot maths F9. Okay my parents now employed a private maths teacher for me and i wrote another maths and got E8. That was what i finally entered svhool with cos am studying English. lol. Did i just tell the whole Nigeria and beyond am a maths dumpy? damn! This is a girl that aced every other subject especially English. Well maybe its a maths spiritual problem. hehehehehehe

    When a crosses the equality sign, it becomes minus a. Then solve the equation on the left hand side using bodmas, you'll arrive at -2. Cancel out the minuses and the answer is a = 2

    Using BODMAS:

    a+3-1*3+2-4+0*1=0

    Miltiplications first:
    a+3-3+2-4 = 0

    Now Additions:
    a+3-5-4 = 0

    Take a to the other side of the equation:

    -3+5+4 = a

    Addition again;

    -3+9 = a

    therefore: a = 6.

    I get am??? LOL

    When I read through all the wrong answers, I now have a feeling of why a lot of people failed Mathematics at all levels (JSS, SSS, O Level, GCE, NECO, UME, PCE, university, Polytechnic etc).

    A + 3 - 1 x 3 + 2 - 4 = 0
    A + 3 - (3 + 2 ) - 4 = 0
    A + 3 - (5 - 4 ) = 0
    A + 3 - 1 = 0
    3 - 1 = a - 0
    2 = a

    Or

    A + 3 - 1 x 3 + 2 - 4 = 0
    Bodmas
    A + 3 - 3 + 2 - 4 = 0
    A + 3 - 5 - 4 =0
    3a - (5 - 4) = 0
    3a - 1 =0
    2a= 0
    A = 2

    Find a

    Using BODMAS:

    Multiplication First
    a+3-(1*3)+2-4+(0*1)=0
    a+3-3+2-4+0=0

    Addition next
    (a+3)-(3+2)-(4+0)=0
    a+3-5-4=0

    Subtraction next
    a+(3-5-4)=0
    a+(-12)=0

    Make a the subject of the formula by moving (-12) to the right hand side
    a=0+12
    a=12
