OMG!

A female student was knocked down and killed and the ISH has gone South in my alma mater!

Actually two girls were hit,one died and the other is in coma...

''Good morning Stella. A 200l philosophy student of UNIBEN,  Rita was killed by a hit and run Army van on Sunday.

Today, UNIBEN students are protesting for Government to construct a fly over in front of our school as this is not the first time this is happening.

Stella please help us post this so that Edo State government will look into it as these are lives being lost not chickens.  Thank You.''

RIP Rita!

The Corpse was sent but I cannot post it because it looks really bad.

  15. It's crazy in school right now, im on the road back to school now.
I weep for Rita that had to go to her creator at such a young age.
I weep for the achieved dreams.
The hopes and promises that died.
For the mother and wife she never became.
For her Parents that had to go with their daughters corpse instead of a Bsc.
For all the pains that mum and dad that will have to Bury their Child will go through.
Stella on that same road in front of maingate my coursemate had an accident will going to submit an assignment. She didn't die.. but she had her leg broken and she has at least 2False teeth in her mouth.
    I'm just down.
Stuff like this make me question the whole point of Living, to think they were coming from Church.
    Dear Lord protect your Children.

  26. My aunty lived oposite the school,in BDPA once and we attended church in the campus. I refused to cross that highway on foot any time she was not in town to take us to church.

The govt should build a pedestrian crossing there. It is dangerous

  31. I'm in my final year now and I still dread crossing that road,i always say a prayer before I dash across..and drivers plying that road dont even bother to slow down at the gate.its sad that a life had to be lost before the right thing could be done..i hope they do smething about that road immediately.
    RIP Rita.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I schooled in uniben for 4years and was always scared and cautious of that express road, would only cross the road when there are lots of people crossing too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. you people should shut your stupid ignorant mouth about the governor here.....what is the vc's job? is there no way the university generates revenue in any way to do a flyover that will take how many bags of cement and rods? can the school not afford to put speed bumps on that part of the road to slow down traffic...he is the caretaker of the school and if money allocated to the school is not enough to do a flyover then he should push the matter to the governor and ensure it is achieved....is it the governor that will know where every single flyover should be located on the road? that is why you have a vc, a local govt chairman, a commissioner and so on so that responsibility is shared...the governor cannot think for everybody or do everything alone....stop that stupidity and face facts.....

RIP rita, we pray your death is not in vain...

Gbam! ..very valid point..dat VC is to blame too. Afterall it's not d 1st time such accidents have occurred on dat God forsaken road.speed breakers like 3 or 4 huge ones before, infront n after the school. ogah ooh

  34. So sad! I think the SUG and students of UniBen should take it upon themselves to build bumps as far as 2kms from ur gate. Govt will take forever, so you all should collectively do something to save lives before the government steps in. May God comfort her family.

    ReplyDelete
  35. But there was a pedestal bridge in front of Uniben before now, what happened to it? Am sure that short man call oshio brought it down when he was constructing those tiny roads and forgot to build it back. Until he use other ppls children for rituals before he will rebuild it. Uniben students make una nor gree o until another bridge is constructed there. I have a daughter in the school. He is in America with him virgin wife after he has disvirging other ppl daughter with 150k . Idiot!

    1. Hahahahaha this cracked me up, in America with his Virgin wife after disvirgining other people's children with 150k, choi!!! I don laff fall comot from my chair.

I don't think that pedestrian bridge was in front of the main gate, it used to be around that Sanctua botanical gardens gate, a bit further down...

    2. 150 is ok. Is it not better than bn disvirgined with roasted corn?

  36. Hmmm... Rest in peace Rita. I pray God grants her family the fortitude to bear the loss, and quick recovery to the one in coma.

The things we take for granted... I crossed that road for 6years without even thinking twice when I was a student there...

    3. Anon 19.51, jumping into conclusions as usual.
I read a 5 year course and between asuu strikes and Uniben internal crises, I ended up spending 6 calendar years, though it was 5 academic sessions...

Got it? There's a big difference between calendar years and academic sessions, but then, anyone who's stupid enough to jump to conclusions can't be expected to grasp such a simple fact.

  37. There was a bridge at the Main gate of the University of Benin and to be truthful.... while it was there NONE OF THE STUDENTS USED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It became a haven for the mentally challenged. The only solution would be to construct speed bumps like they have in Ekpoma. RIP my dear!!! God will give your family the strength to bear this loss
