They better collect all the money they will spend while in school and use it to set up a business jare!

    2. Okokobioko! Well I hope they all get jobs that will reflect or help em recoup what they spent on fees within the first 5 years of graduation.
5 years in University and I didnt spend upto 150k on fees. Another truth is that my Feniversity degree got more class, more superior.

    4. Exactly @portable v. Is not by force. Try govt universities. But i've always had this mindset that it's only kids with low IQ that go to private universities, cos they can't get into the govt schools.

      Hahahahahahaha

      I'm tired of laughing

      Okay... Back to the issue

      They shouldn't be complaining
It's a private school, these school takes care of everything themselves without help from federal government

If your parents can't afford it, you wouldn't be kept there.. I'm sure the increase wasn't so much.. Law students paid about 1m before I guess

    2. I dont understand why pay so much 4 a sch thats not recognized globally as an institution or in a particular course when i can get a recognised degree in the uk from a good and globally highly ranked school for less...

  3. This is given greater than the total money I spent in my entire years in school.it is sad bt I'm sure the students dnt hv a choice

    1. They don't have a choice, they've got loads of choices. I don't think anyone should complain about their fees. Those that can afford it should go ahead. Those that can't should opt for the cheaper options. There are secondary schools that charge higher than that.

Quality education is worth every price you pay for it. If anyone thinks education is expensive, they should try ignorance.

By the way I went to a public university and my tuition for the 4 years wasn't up to 80k. I turned out okay and got a job to boot........lol

Anyways for u to decide u want to send ur kids to a private uni,u mustav thought bout d cost.
Although asides not getting admission,i wonder y parents take their kids to private uni,it is not and can never be compared to most state owned and federal universities in terms of academic performance.

Back then in uni we paid 100k and despite it being fair, most of our parents still complained dt despite it being medicine,it was effing expensive; o dear...what would dey say bout 3million hahaha

  21. See how education has become so expensive in my country. Gaining admission into the federal and states owned institutions is as difficult as getting a good job in Nigeria hence, the need for both parents and students to look for alternatives. The admission processes are also rigorous. How can one pass JAMB, Post UME and still not be admitted, also the number of federal/state owned institutions cannot accommodate the numbers of students seeking admission into them yearly. The federal government should intervene as its getting out of hand.

  22. Maka why? Are they going to develop two brains when they come out. The amount is senselessly expensive jare.

    1. E reach to repeat ur comment more than four times @Thelma. Imagine babcock that is owned by a mission what re they out to portray? We know its no charity org but the charge is too much for the ordinary tithe payer whoes yr to yr offerings is used to build the school. The fed govt should atleast regulate the fees of these glorified sec schools. What they re just trying to do is creat a class difference between the kids of the have n have nots.

  28. What was the amount you were paying before the increase?? I'm sure the additional money added wasn't so much

Private universities will keep adding their fees because they get no help. They need to maintain standards with this funds...

The only reason my mom sent my brother to private university according to her was because he was stubborn and he will calm down there since they virtually don't have a life but I don't even see any calmness in him..

I keep telling him to pray he graduates with good grades and get a good job on time because my parents won't let him be as they will keep reminding him how much they spent on him...

  35. They don't need to write Jamb again to enter University again with this amount then. Abi are they the ones that score less than 200 in Jamb and are bundled to such places. Why complain? Na una carry una legs reach that side. Government looting and stealing will intensify as the schools raise their own allowances. You guys had better secure your future jobs there oh. Don't come and be dragging portfolio with the Fed. Univ. graduates who seek for jobs around.

  36. Before asking why we went to private a private university . Ask yourself can everyone fit into the state or federal university system in Nigeria . The answer is simple no its not possible !!!, stop asking stupid questions and ask better ones . Since my 100level days plus acceptance fees plus everything amounted to about 800k , the usual way it goes is that the higher you go the lesser the fees . So now I am in 400level I have supposed to pay nothing above 750k to say the most . Firstly it was increased to 860k as the bill that came up in July of this year showed I have already paid that ,only for me on Monday to see it has been increased to about 1.1million naira .Dont ask me why I went to a private school because I have already answered that , ask yourself why the school management a week to resumption would increase the fees to something so outrageous mine is even the least increment I have seen so far . Some courses have about 100% increment , I don't feel bad for myself but for other people who are being sponsored or where even struggling to pay for the former bill and now the later is too much . Assuming this student is a 400level student where dropping-out is out of the question .In the student's shoes Would stay home crying or seek the help of the social media and people who can comprehend the issue to help you combat this issue .
