Fashola Spent N139m On Two Boreholes -LASG

The immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, spent N139m on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
The project was completed by Deux Projects Limited according to a report published by the state government

The report, which was part of the awarded contracts by the Lagos State Tenders Board in 2013, was seen on the website of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency.

In the same year, N640m was spent by the Fashola administration for the reconstruction of a car park and other associated works at the Lagos House, Marina. The report stated that the N640m contract was given to Julius Berger Plc as part of phase two of the reconstruction of Lagos House where Fashola lived during his eight years in government.

In the same year, N300m was spent on the relocation of cables belonging to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. The contract was awarded to Deux Projects Limited.
According to the report, the former governor also spent N175m to replace the railings of a pedestrian bridge on Carter Bridge from Ido to Idumota with concrete railings. The contract was awarded to A Abicon Engineering Limited.

According to the report, N220m was spent on the facility management of the Lagos State University College of Medicine. The contract was awarded to Deux Projects Limited.

The former governor, according to the report, spent N619m on surface repair on Ajara-Erekiti-Iragon-Ikoga Road in Badagry Local Government.
According to the report, Fashola spent N1.2bn on the construction of an unidentified multi-storey building in Onikan, Lagos.

The former governor was also said to have spent N1.6bn on the construction of a 48-bedroom hotel at Lagos State VIP Chalets, Badagry.

About N510m was spent on the remodelling and equipping of the official residence of the state’s Chief Judge at 4 Thompson Avenue, Ikoyi, Lagos, according to the report.
About N165m was spent on the construction of an 18-classroom block at Ajara Senior Grammar School, Ajara Badagry. The same amount was also spent on an 18-block classroom at Community Senior/Junior Secondary School, Bayeku, Ikorodu.

Fashola had recently come under fire for spending N78.3m of taxpayers’ money on his website,tundefashola.com.

Although the figures were published on the official website of the state government, the former governor said all the monies were duly approved by the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency.
Fashola, in a six-page letter, stated that the website of the state government was authentic.

He, however, warned against attempt by some persons to tarnish his good image and misrepresent his budgetary spending to the members of the public.

All attempts to speak with Fashola’s spokesperson, Hakeem Bello, proved abortive as he did not pick calls neither did he respond to a text message sent to his telephone.

Culled from punch

*Long Sigh*

  11. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who presently collects over 20% of the
Lagos IGI through Babatunde Fowler, is moving to the Federal till with the
recent appointment of Fowler as the Chairman of FIRS. Expect your VAT
and Company Taxes to increase with Asiwaju tapping up to 25%.
Tinubu holds South West to ransom with all the
inflated juicy contracts from the APC states, as he has succeeded in buying Lagos
State government properties, using government funds after blackmailing Fashola
into submission, with threats of impeachment. His rent seeking and mass acquisition of properties strategies has made properties to rise above the roof in Lagos state.
According to the AIT documentary that he is yet to contest
directly, Tinubu owns the Oriental Hotel, Falomo Shopping Complex, First Nation
Airline, Private Jets, Lekki Concession Company, Apapa Amusement Park, the
Renaissance Hotel, the Radio Continental, the TV Continental, the Nation
Newspaper, Ikeja Shopping Mall, Alpha Beta (IGR collectors), ownership of
Tejuoso Market, School of Nursing & NNPC buildings, N4B property located at
the Queens Drive, Lagos and other choice properties worth billions of naira
located within and beyond Lagos State allegedly acquired and owned illicitly by
    referenced Tinubu Ahmed.
So whenever someone in Lagos begins to wonder where their
4th mainland bridge went, or what was the fate of the pipe-borne water project,
or even where the schools and hospitals had vanished to, there is a silence
that contains it all. The largest landlord in Lagos has done as he has pleased,
and the rest of the state just has to deal with it. For instance: Number 4,
Oyinkan Abayomi (formerly Queens) Drive, Ikoyi: A 5-bedroom detached house on
one acre of land which was originally the Lagos State Governor’s guest house since
1979, but which now belongs to Tinubu.
Tinubu’s residence at 26 Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi was
initially falsely presented as Oando Plc Guest House. Later, he purportedly
bought it from Oando, and used public funds to rebuild and renovate it. The property is worth over
N600 million. The annex of the Lagos State Guest House in Asokoro, Abuja
was bought by the State Government in 2006 for N450 million and transferred to
    him after Tinubu left office.
The 250-hectare land valued at about N35billion and
strategically located at the Ajah junction on Lekki Road was initially meant
for a General Hospital for the people of Eti-Osa Local Government but was
stolen by Tinubu and handed over to Trojan Estate Ltd – a company owned by Deji

  12. and Wale Tinubu – to develop as Royal Garden Housing Estate at the expense of the taxpayers of Lagos.
The 1,000 hectares of land valued at about N75billion
located at Lakowe near Abijo at Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and given to Lekki
Concession Company (LCC) which is partly- owned by Tinubu and being developed
as golf course and housing estate by ARM as ADIVA project.
The prime land of 157 hectares with 2.5km of Atlantic
beachfront valued at about N10billion and stolen by Tinubu from the communities
of Siriwon, Igbekodo, Apakin, etc in Ibeju-Lekki LG and given to Ibukun Fakeye
    – his crony.
The 14-hectare Parkview Ikoyi Estate foreshore land
reclaimed by Lagos State Government is now owned by Bola Tinubu. He also allocated to himself the former Strabag yard beside the Lagos State
Secretariat at Alausa, Ikeja that is presently known as Shoprite. This is public property brazenly stolen and now owned by Tinubu.
The choice property at Lekki-Epe road on which he built and
owns the multi-billion Naira Oriental Hotel and the extension of multi-storey
car park beside it. Also, the multi-level recreation centre by Mobil in Oniru
Estate on Lekki-Epe road jointly owned with ARM and Tunji Olowolafe. All these
assets valued at over N25billion were obtained without paying a kobo to the
    Lagos State Government.
Tinubu sold the following prime Lagos properties to a front – Prince Dipo Eludoyin at very ridiculous prices:The 3.8-hectare of land of Lagos State Fisheries office beside the Institute of Oceanography valued at N3billion.The fishery landing jetty at Badore (where the Ilubirin fishermen were to be relocated) valued at N500million. The entire Ogudu foreshore scheme initially earmarked for a low-cost housing scheme valued at N5billion.The Ilubinrin housing estate (which used to house Lagos civil servants and judges up till 2007) valued at N2.5billion.The former Julius Berger yard at Oko Orisan, Epe valued at
    N450million.
Tinubu raised a loan of N4.7billion on Eko Akete project for
which nothing was achieved before he turned around to sell the property to Chagouri & Chagouri and Hitech Construction Ltd .Tinubu applied to personally purchase the Federal Secretariat building while in office. When he couldn’t get to buy it, he
directed Fashola to stop the eventual owner of the complex to develop it. The
    complex is presently wasting away.
It took several months of horse trading and underhand
payments before Fashola could allow the new owners of 1004 flats to redevelop
the complex. Several other buyers of Federal Government properties and
developers of properties in Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Government Reservation

  13. Area Ikeja were forced to succumb to the outrageous demands of Tinubu,
This is a major economic strangulation of property developers and has contributed largely to the skyrocketing rent in Ikoyi, VI, Lekki axis and properties all over Lagos State.
Tinubu converted all the plots of land where Lagos
Polytechnic was located at Ikosi near the old toll gate. He chased away the
students and went ahead to acquire the choice plots to himself, his
cronies and political associates. The headquarters of Television Continental
(TVC), which is owned by him, is located there. He deprived the youths of Lagos
of decent education because of his greed.
Tinubu solely sold the prime land on Aboyade Cole, Victoria
Island which was recovered from some allotees, to UACN Properties Plc. The
amount of proceeds was shrouded in secrecy. Eludoyin, fronting for Tinubu,
built the estate directly opposite Goshen Beach Estate in Lekki area.
Tinubu’s wife, Remi Tinubu, built the massive New Era
Foundation youth camp at the junction of Eleko, with Lagos State funds and Tinubu owns the Fara Park Estate and the Beach Wood Estate both in Lekki.
The Critical Care unit at LASUTH) in Ikeja, built and equipped with state funds, is
now owned personally by Tinubu. He has put one Dr. Sikiru Tinubu,to run the outfit. The unit charges its users exorbitantly and most
Lagosians can hardly afford to pay its high charges. Much of the revenue is
derived from fees paid by the State Government for patients referred there by
    its General Hospitals.
Several prominent Nigerians in the judiciary, police, INEC,
and other sensitive agencies have obtained prime land from former Governor
Tinubu over the years without paying a kobo. Gbenga Ashafa, now a Senator, and
Mrs. Awofisayo were the conduits through which these acts were being
perpetrated. Both were also personally involved in various dubious land
transactions on their own.Prime land and properties have been used to pay off public
officials who are personally close to Tinubu for “jobs well done” or for being
privy to sensitive information, notably:Dele Alake, Rauf Aregbesola, Muiz Banire, Yemi Cardoso and Wale Edun,

He even sold one of his houses to fund the election. Therefore he wants returns from Ambode. All the properties that are bring revoked are the ones that Tinubu wanted to lay claim on but Fashola resisted.

  15. I hope fat fool Ambode realises that if not for the fact that he rode on Fashola's back, he would have lost woefully.
He should keep allowing that old frog use him on a Fashola smear campaign just to prevent Fashola from being close to Buhari.
Tinubu should continue being his usually manipulative and overbearing self. He will crash his party with his own hands.
Ambode is not an articulate person neither does he look like he has any sense. So being a lap dog is not helping his chances either.
They will just lose big time.

Ambode never rode on fasholas back and fashola didnt support him till he won the primaries. Ambode is tinubus candidate. And thats why fashola is down politically because he went against normal dictates by even having his own candidate he was supporting for governor

    2. He rode on Fashola's back after the primaries. If not for Fashola's work and the fact that most lagosians want continuity, he would have lost the election. 90 percent of lagosians believed in Agbaje than Ambode.

    3. Yes Ambode rode on the back of Fashola's achievements and popularity. It is common knowledge.

  22. These stories have been floating around for a few years now. Everytime they want to bring Fashola down they come up with the same storyline. Tinubu has forgotten that he lives in a glass house and shouldn't throw stones. Whether the enemies like it or not if Fashola will be a minister nothing can stop him. Fashola is a thief he stole for himself and stole for his oga but he WORKED and Lagos will always appreciate him for his hardwork. Ambode I pity you. Shey you see the kind of godfather you have, your turn is coming. Please who owns DEUX?
