Former Gov Jang Left Over N220billion Debt In Plateau

The Transition Committee setup by Governor Simon Lalong, has uncovered a debt profile of over N222 billion left by the immediate past administration in the State led by Jonah Jang.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Committee and Deputy Governor of the State, Prof. Sonny Tyoden, Tuesday in Jos, while presenting the committee’s report to the State Governor.

It would be recalled that Governor Lalong had on the 7th of May, 2015, inaugurated a transition committee to study all aspects of the structure, organisation and operational modalities of the outgone government and to advice government accordingly.

  2. Broad daylight robbery.
How can he not steal the state to pieces when he know that he will not be sent to prison?EFCC is busy chasing "yahoo boys" while the more "deadly" criminals are allowed to enjoy their loot.
The present head of the EFCC is highly incompetent .I know he would have been sacked if he is a Christian from the south south or south east.

  11. Heartless old men. Mentioning the monies being stolen now sounds like 222k. If its one young guy that stole N560,000 now, EFCC will cuff both hands and legs and throw him in a lion's den. Yeye

  15. Pa Jang what would you do with all this? N222B to build/construct what kwanu?

  16. Considering the kind of work especially road constructions,a new Governor's lounge and Gbong Gown palace etc baba Jang did on the Plateau. That amount should not be said to be stolen or misappropriated. If all past Governors would do what baba Jang did on the Plateau... The whole state would have been a miniature Dubai by now.
Some people just feel sidelined by his style of Governance, especially the share the money group.
