Former Governor Tunde Fashola Allegedly Spent A Whooping N78.3m For A Personal Website

The news is abuzz that Former Gov Fashola of Lagos state spent a whooping N78.3M Of tax payers money to build his personal website www.tundefashola.com

How can?

I thought Fashola was one of the governors that operated a clean account and that 90percent of his tenure as governor was done with the books ''open''?

Is this a witch hunt or a cupboard of skeletons opened?

    1. Ahahah see ehn, not to say Fashola cannot be corrupt... In fact I believe he enriched himself whilst serving Lagos.. can I prove it? NO. But if I have to make public my assertions I should be able to present explicit FACTS! Not unless I'm dealing with illiterates who'lld not ask me questions... if they said he used the money to buy a house like Saraki has been called out explicitly, I would believe that sharp sharp. But for website? Abeg I dey go sleep.

  17. This isnt a witchhunt or anyrhing of that nature. Nigerians know that BRF wasnt a saint but Lagosians commended him for doing a good job because one could actually point to projects that they benefitted from, hence turning a blind eye to the millions if not billions being diverted.
This revelation just goes to show that the average Nigerian will not care if money is being stolen by elected officials as long as those officials keep delivering on election promises. Corruption in politics isnt a Nigerian problem but a global one. The difference being that in Nigeria, our politicians dont fear God and certainly do not fear us (Nigerians) hence the senseless looting.
Stella nor be Germans say dem trust dem prostitute pass their politicians.

    1. Yeah, but we need to change from that complacent behaviour of accepting that although a public servant may have looted funds, but we will look the other way cause he delivered and worked well. If he performed it was simply his obligation to do so as stipulated in his contract of service. The change we yearn should be wholistic...it should start from our individual orientation. No more of looting the treasury dry no matter how well u delivered in your appointed capacity biko. But this gist is aloof though. Exaggeration

  21. The Beloved One:
it is not a witch hunt Stella, the truth is coming to light. A lot of was done to cover up his corruption, and people also chose to overlook evidences of such because he worked a little in the state. but no matter how long it takes, the truth would always come to light.

  24. I sha know fashola chopped money wella. Yes he worked but Nigerians have suffered so much dat wen a governor does one, two or three things during his tenure then he is nothing but a messiah. The tend to forget how much Lagos generates as internal revenue. If u compare that to what fashola has done ehn, you'd know that a lot of money is still unaccounted for. Like someone said yesterday, thief na thief even if na N1 he steal.

If dis 78.3million naira stuff is true, then they should start opening his chapter one by one.

New born baby no the work of fashola in lagos, fashola is a respected man that is d reason other bloggers don't post this trash u ar promoting since yesterday. Wen bad people see that 80% of Nigerians believe in this man they are ready to go far just to tarnish him. Wit all buhari evil documentary hop they finally seen the out come. They Av started wit fashola again, they should continue and wait for the outcome. Few months ago was baby man, Stella if u Av collected money to rubbish fashola I swear it won't work. fashola is who GOD has made nobody on earth can destroy him

  29. All these people trying to destroy Fashola's hard earned reputation do not want the progress of this country.
Fashola is the hardest working and most efficient governor in Nigeria since our independence.
No one can compare the Lagos before Fashola to the one he left behind.
He should be the country's next minister of Works. He will perform the same wonders he did in Lagos state.

  34. Dear stella,u must understand dat thr is s master grand plan by some persons who refer to themselves as kingmakers in d Apc who r tryin to bring down fashola and all he did: why do we as Nigerians and Africans agree to d witchhunt called pull him down syndrome? Why do we tend to want to dig up wats not just cos some stupid fellow who plays godfatherism in d APC can afford to pay for evil machination? Who is talking abt d good of Fashola? Whr are all d good he did while in active office? Why shld one man tend to destroy n determine d destiny of anoda just bcos buhari wants to appoint Fashola? Stella am so angry and put off cos I expect Us to know beta, these are all conspiracy theories agaisnt fashola and by the power of d God of heaven,no weapon fashioned against him shall stand in Jesus name. 36. Sentiments will prevail over rationality on this post. People will rationalise away his corruption by stacking up his 'pantry loot' against the massive ones of other politicians and when it doesn't measure up, they will dispel justice by saying after all, he performed well in Lagos State relative to the abysmal performance of Theodore Orji of Abia State. Fashola's loot will be justified by the cosmetic face lift of Oshodi without seeing if his work is commensurate with the spendings and the vortex of debts the state has been sucked into. Rather than say the truth of how their collective wealth was siphoned to oil the wheels of Godfatherism, they will justify it with " Fashola is the best governor". A classical case of a One-Eye-Sunday in the land of the blind. ‎

Well let me cross my legs and pretend I didn't hear until he comes put to defend himself or else I go with TOLU Ogunlesi's quote that * How csn you build a wordpress website for 78m. Are you mad? or am I the mad one for thinking you might be mad. Lmfao

  38. One thing I know is that fashola isn't a saint as portrayed. He did nothing compared to the money at his disposal. Very clever man

  45. PLEASE WHAT KIND OF WEBSITE IS THAT ?OBVIOUSLY WHEN FASHOLA WAS GOVERNOR HE SIMPLY DID NOT ALLOW CERTAIN PEOPLE TO GET AWAY WITH IMPUNITY THEREFORE HE STEPPED ON TOES BECAUSE OF THAT. THESE SAME PEOPLE ARE SCARED THAT IF BUHARI MAKES HIM A MINISTER HE WOULD EXPOSE THEM FOR WHO AND WHAT THEY ARE. FASHOLA UNDOUBTEDLY HAS CREATED BIG SHOES THAT IS OVERWHELMING SOME PEOPLE. THIS PRESENT GOVERNMENT SHOULD FOCUS ON GOVERNING THAN UNECESSARY WITCH HUNT AND DISTRACTING THE PEOPLE OF LAGOS STATE FROM NOTICING IT'S LACK OF VISION, FOCUS AND DIRECTION. FASHOLA WAS A TRUE LAGOSIAN AND HE DID HIS BEST FOR LAGOS STATE UNLIKE AWON OMO ALE JATIJATI THAT DO NOT HAVE THE BEST INTEREST OF LAGOS STATE AND IT'S INDIGENT AT HEART. I HEAR THE VOICE OF JACOB BUT I FEEL ESAU. BRF POSTERITY WILL JUDGE YOU WELL BECAUSE NO ONE CAN ERASE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS.
