Nigeria's Looters!

........If they, the 'thieves' decide to return every penny stolen, and every purchase they made with Nigeria's stolen funds, should they still be named, shamed and punished?

A tiny bird whispered to me that those who know that they have stolen have been running around like Usain Bolt and looking for ways to return the monies they ''borrowed'' from Nigeria without our permission..LMAO!

Nigeria is the only country where politicians and people in power cannot be punished for any crime whatsoever, even now with all the noise about prosecution,it might just be he same song with new dance steps.

What do you propose should be done to the looters whose names will be allegedly published soon?

Collect the ALL from them and let them go?
Collect some (which is what might be done) make a lot of noise and free them?

    1. there is no how on earth all the money stolen would be returned in one piece without some amount spent....
So i think the way it should be done is this:
since the presidency claims to have the names of those who looted the country's money, every looter should be given 2 months deadline from now to return the looted money he/she has to the country's treasury;so that he/she can be pardoned and stand A fair trial since they returned theirs personally and with remorse...
On the other hand if after the deadline nothing is done, then they should go on and call them all out with the criminal list, arrested and given A trial,if possible at A court that has A strict jehovah witness fellow as judge or precisely at A strict court outside Nigeria...
If they are found guilty, everything they have in their possession should be recovered;then they should serve their time, precisely life imprisonment so it can serve as A lesson to others who would have plans of looting in the future..

    2. Thief dey catch thief? Some cleared up their path thoroughly that's the only difference.

If the person probing is a "saint" then they should recover the and jail them.

But I doubt if such can work in nigeria

    3. Which pardon. Abeg once monies are recovered they should be punished. If my dear father is among the looters I would gladly take porridge to him in kiri kiri. What nonsense. Do you know how much interests the monies would have accrued if they left it in the bank?

Which kind pardon...I ask again? They should be made to pay every penny back, and if they can't, their jail term should be increased. Plus their names published in every newspaper, with pictures on full blast. Naming and shaming would be a very good idea too. No mercy for looters. They are not different from the armed robbers who use canoe to rob in broad day light. Pardon ko...

  5. They should face the law if found guilty...but it won't work in Nigeria because the corruption and stealing didn't start today.
Those people making noise about it are also guilty...

  10. All looted funds should be collected from them and they should be publicly shamed. Not jailed though, unless they looted money meant for the health sector or pensioners money.

    Looting is also stealing No?
If people can be sent to jail for the sum of 57,000 naira, then I see no reason(s) why someone who stole millions should be spared.
They should return the loot and do time as well..

But that is a pipe dream..

  19. Let them send them to the nearest kirikiri, if not apologize to those in prison that stole little and was jailed and also free them.

Collect all the money stolen and also jail them, it would be painful if they go free, bcos they re teaching our younger generations that stealing is not a crime, so they would do all they can so they can steal trillions of dollars return some and go Scot free.

Jbaby for president wanna steal my own share. Lol if u want to know how to steal big money join politics. Nothing would happen after u steal

  22. Stella the truth all can not be collected from them so they should collect what they can, name them, shame them and jail them so that Nigerians will have a change opinion about if I get opportunity too I will still because that is the mentality out there. This must stop now we just don't want noise people must be punish.

  23. Why is Buhari and his people obsessed with tarnishing of the good image of past administration?
Is Baba Goslow telling me that Obasanjo and all the northerners that has been ruling the country since Independence are devoid of corruption?
The ongoing campaign is politically, religiously and ethnically motivated.

  24. Abeg they should punish them. If they don't what will stop others from stealing and investing the money knowing they will only be asked to return the money.

  32. I think we should address this issue with compassion and rationality. These looters in the last administration only did what their predecessors had done. They took as those that came before them took. They saw it as the norm in office. PMB has now decided to name and shame and also punish only those that took in the last administration. I feel it is inequitable, to say the least. I feel they should be made to return everything even if it means selling off properties that were or weren't bought with the funds, but I do not feel they should be tried, only because in this case there was a sort of legitimate expectation that they wouldn't be tried. I also strongly feel this prosecution should not be limited to jonathons government but should go far as back as the 80's to recover stolen loot as well. Let those that have evidence bring it before the EFCC so all can be charged and tried. Just my take

  33. I just hope things will be done right, under PMB.

I'm new here, any homecoming party for me. ;)
