Oliseh Considers Dumping Super Eagles

Super Eagles Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, is considering dumping Nigeria following the spate of criticism that followed the ouster of the country from the on-going Africa Nations Championship in Rwanda.

Oliseh in an exclusive interview with New Telegraph said the present situation in the team required re-evaluation and he might not take the decision alone. The former Nigeria international noted that he was not happy with the way things turned out in Rwanda for Nigeria but added that he found himself in a situation he could not help.

“It is time to think and evaluate what has happened. I really have to think about my future and that is not for me alone to decide. We have to wait and see on the way forward. “First, I have to go home and see what I personally want to do as a person. My wife and other members of the family will have a say on my future.”

On the ouster of the team from CHAN, the former international said Nigeria’s elimination was not due to physical, technical or tactical aspect of the game, but it all boiled down to poor morale and general lack of motivation. “I cannot explain all we went through in this competition but I can simply tell you that it is difficult to move a car with an empty fuel tank.

It was tough all through and I was told things were also like that even in the camp of the team back home,” Oliseh said. He was named as Eagles Head Coach in July 2015 shortly after Stephen Keshi was fired by the NFF.

  18. To be on the other side, making criticisms is quite different from the real deal, the likes of Oliseh and Gary Neville, can now attest to it.

  19. Oliseh should just shush it..... when he was running his mouth against Keshi's coaching tactics he didn't know that football is about losing some and winning some. He should just sit tight there and do his job.... NONSENSE!
