Supreme Court Upholds Rev.King's Death Sentence

The Lagos state government has hailed the judgment of the Supreme Court which upheld the death sentence given to Chukwuemeka Ezeugo popularly known as Reverend King by a Lagos state high court.

Justice Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of the controversial cleric on February 26 and maintained that he should be hanged for his crime.
King was convicted of murder for setting a church member on fire and injuring five others. He applied to the appeal court in Lagos to get his conviction overturned but the case was thrown out and as a last resort, King approached the Supreme Court to get the conviction overturned

  15. Do we check for people's mental health status in Nigeria before sentencing them to death? I don't think this man is actually okay mentally. May be it is not a death sentence he needs. Looks like he had grandiose delusion. He believed many things he wasn't. He didn't seem okay.

Well, instead of wasting state money evaluating his mental status, why don't we let the hanging cure his delusions of grandeur permanently?

    4. Taaaa.. he should go and rectify his mental health when he gets to baba God. Aint nobody got time for that right now. There are far more serious things to attend to in the judiciary.
