A Country of Religious Mugus

Call me names, think what you may of the CharlyBoy brand, na for your pocket! I no send you! I will always say what I want to say and how I want to say it regardless of the many fake people I offend.

 Gbam!

There is so much hypocrisy/'fakeness' going on in this goddamn country it's incredible. As a nation, we have sacrificed patriotism on the altar of religion; looking at America, their patriotism supercedes religion, skin colour or economic background.

I was so tickled by some people's comments when I penned down my personal opinion on Pastor Adeboye's yarns as to what constitutes a good wife/husband.
Aside from the mass unemployment, ignorance and poverty that abounds, Naija I believe is the Genesis of this Pentecostal influence across Africa. I know that many would do anything to run away from the excruciating poverty my people are witnessing even if they have to speak in tongues and most Pastors are happily taking advantage of the situation.

There is God o!!

A lot of us have been brainwashed on how to worship God as some churches now come up with different gimmicks. It is not surprising to see people attend church rituals involving frantic falls as if grasped by epileptic seizures, forming attack by the spirits. Yes, most of these dramatics are paid for, like the Nollywood actor who claimed that the devil exited his body through his foot.

Now, some parents are praying for their sick children at home instead of seeking medical attention; or chaining children to enable the pastors cast out demons. Many women are caught having sex with pastors in corners or found spending more time catering to their pastors. How about husbands who have lost their wives totally to randy, horny and perverted pastors. Yes, what about the ones who can't hold down a marriage, when me wey dem talk say I dey craze, don collect 39 yrs for one woman hand. Kai. The list goes on.

I am not suggesting that all Men of God are tainted, but out of a hundred you may not find 4 that live what they preach, the rest are just taking advantage of our religious ignorance. Would it surprise you to know that I have read the Bible cover to cover over 20 times. So I know more than I make out! I know that true men of God do not misquote the Bible. It's only demons who misquote or misapply the Bible in some way. I know that God cannot punish us if we don't pay tithe to our church because it is the goodness of our hearts that interest God more than physical and financial disposition.

I know that true men of God cannot promise us happiness and prosperity, all of that is a fortune-teller's lie, there is nothing in the bible about any "medium" that God uses to deliver such blessing. When I was growing up, men of God were renowned for their simple lifestyles. They endured the hardships the natives suffered in a bid to impart in them the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. The legacy of these humble men have since been overtaken by conmen seeking to get rich through donations and wayo tactics as they mesmerise and swindle unsuspecting religious Mugus.

Fake Christians should go and read Matthew 21:22 which says “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” .

This, like many other similar verses in the New Testament, clearly explains that a man must have no latent doubt in his heart but must have absolute trust in the power and good will of God. Meaning  that it is not the Pastor's prayer that sets one free from spiritual bondages, but first and foremost one´s faith in Jesus Christ. Nowhere is it stated in the Bible that, prayers and miracles must be done in exchange for money, biko, because salvation is for free and for everyone. Our mumu never do?

It is unfortunate that while some churches minister to the spiritual, educational and economic needs of people, others use the same gospel fraudulently/intelligently to acquire wealth out of the destitution of the poor. Even more annoying are those who have the answers under their very noses, but who driven by these manipulations still abide blindly to such fake doctrines.

At the end of the day, I know that how a man chooses to worship his God is up to him. Worshippers are not forced to be followers in any of these churches; they follow some of these useless “men of God” of their own accord, thereby making the pastor's wealth acquisition fairly legal. However, Christians should always have this in the back of their minds. False Christians and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive.

Are you a learner? Look that your pastor well well o. Man of God my Ass. End time tins!

Way too many hypocrites in this country, you can clearly see them display it on this blog, twisting & confusing the innocent minds daily.... Cherry picking the verses of the bible they so much believe in, & bending it to favour their present predicaments, its no longer shocking to me see them exalt the very Leaders that'd contradict their preaching, and they applaud him. Christians open ur eyes & question evrything.

The average Nigerian is too pedestrian and shallow in thought. They're even scared of thinking. They're so used to bullshit that they don't want a change. 3. It's a very big risk, won't advice you to take that risk in 2016 cos they are more sophisticated now than before and you are likely to be caught. Most people who got away with it did it in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Unless you get someone to marry you by arangee which might cost 5k to pay the person and later 5k for divorce. But if for love, then it's free. And the love one sef not easy to find. Easier for a black guy to find white babes than a black woman to get a white guy. And until you get that green card, you will be hiding from the cops. Who will house and feed you while you hide? Not an easy country to cope in without income. And even relatives usually refuse to bear the burdens of their other relatives. The hustle is personal. But given the condition of Nigeria, it's worth the risk but not advisable. Unless you have absolutely nothing to lose or nothing to fall back on. Why not apply for admission and come on an F1?

  24. Honestly, he makes a valid point
Some of you who cuss him out can't even make a complete sentence in English - most of y'all were duped in school and are due a tution refund by the Nig govt.
I wish Nigeria was developed or at least organized, so that people will not turn churches into rescue homes. For crying out loud, food, water, electricity and shelter are very basic human needs. Any country that lacks those in 2016 has either failed or is going through war. Nigeria has failed, period.
Americans don't church as much as we do, yet they have made the most use of their God-given brains and talents to build themselves an exceptional country. To think that every single phone, every single laptop, every single car used in a country of 160 million people were all imported....do the math.. why won't dollar be rich and naira dirty poor?
The spiritual world is different from the physical ,and the rules different. While its important to worship God, the rules of success remain the same no matter the god you worship. No matter the prayers, God will not fix the roads for us, or send his angels down to do your work for you.. no, that one is up to us
Of course many pastors are feeding fat on the gullible. Be careful who you trust. Pray and make your important life decisions by yourself - you can only trust yourself.

    1. Right on point Cookie. I wish you used a registered ID. I for dash you something. The rules to success are the same. China, which will soon be the biggest economy in the world does not do religion. Nigeria is the most religious country, yet the most corrupt and under developed. Common electicity is still a problem here! In 2016! Tell me one country in the world where you stay 3 days without electricity. Even South Sudan! Instead of these foolish Christians to think out of the box and make their leaders accountable, they focus on going to church and doing what "daddy" says. If they could even be doing what the Bible really says, it will be better. Why would someone that calls himself a pastor divorce his wife, and you will still go back to such a fraud for prayers? Where people keep their brain sef?

      Delete
  25. Take it or leave it, he is making sense. So many of us have been brainwashed so much that they can't think for themselves. Infact, if their pastors ask dem to go nd kill, dey will mumuishly do so without blinking.
I once attended a church programme, d pastor arrogantly asked the congregation to come to d altar with at least, 5k. That nobody should dare come out with anything less than that because his God is not a poor God. Come and see how people were rushing out, see people asking people to lend them, I was just looking at dem.
People, think for yourselves, apply the word of God to your life by yourself which can only do when you read your Bible not just going to church on Sunday to shout " yes sir!", have a personal relationship with God nd you are gud to go.
Some of these MOG are nothing short of hungry people people going about looking for those that can provide their daily bread. Don't be deceived. As for them being pervs, abeg let me just leave that story for another day. A reverend Fr. Just saw d pic I put up as my Whatsapp dp few mins ago, nd sent me chats saying, "baby,u bent ur neck in this picture, pls put up a better one, let me enjoy ur beauty" this is supposed to be my parish priest. If I dey lie, make God judge me.

  33. You are very correct @charlyboy. Since the inception of the Pentecostal relationship between brothers, neighbours, community has gone sour. Nobody trusts nobody. Every death now is by juju. No one dies a natural death anymore, he/she must has been killed by one uncle/aunt or neighbour/friend or associate. I wish we could go back to the 70s and 80s when you can comfortably go to a neighbour or relations house and devour a mountain of akpu without fear of someone poisoning you. Life was a lot easier and people were willing to help others succeed. Communities in those days contributes money to train any brilliant child in school. Uncles and relations contributes money to support a young apprentice to start up his business after been settled by his master. Life was a lot easier and fun. Christmas was a time we look up to meeting with our cousins and distant relations. Oh! Sobs.

Without the word in your heart you would end up being mislead or walking into a fake prophet...and God help you if they don't destroy your life. However, not all men of God are fake. I'm just a young brother...but I have tasted this power and experience it on a daily basis. It's amazing...living in two worlds...here on earth in my body and my spirit in touch with heavenly realities. God is real. I can imagine if he spoke to me to do some miracles in public, that people would say I'm an imposter lol. I wish I could share with you my life's story of 16 years now (from the first time i ever heard God speak)...I was in a fix...no man of God could help me...the doctors were confused at my case...I could even see it on their faces...I was suicidal...I wish i could go into details...perhaps you might be able to relate. There are many things that we do not know...the bible said if the rulers had known the wisdom (mind/plan) of God, they would not have crucified Jesus...but God let it happen for it was his will. God still does things in secret... he still does miracles...he still talks...he hasnt changed...and there are real men of God...but open your bible yourself and study the word. Much love bro. Thanks Stella.

    4. Anon 2:10, you said, and I quote "..and there are real men of God..". Please name just one - and please don't call Adeboye and Oyedepo because these two are the Boss and Under Boss of the heist enterprise called penticostalism in Nigeria. Again brother, you talked about me reading the scriptures. Do I sound ignorant to you? Bros, I've read the entire 66 books of the bible. That's why my eyes are open in the first place. And let me tell you why I'm happy this morning. I went through the comments here, and surprisingly, most people keyed into what Mr Oputa said. It means there's still hope. These pastors can only thrive in a setting of economic insecurity like Nigeria. Wallahi, the day our economy begins to grow and more and more people are sure of their economic future like it's obtainable in Western nations, these "pastors" will begin to lose customers. These "pastors" are so wicked that Nigerians than ran away from them to other nations, are still tracked down and hypnotised abroad. Adeboye and co still go there to open "churches". How many white people you dey see for Mathew Ashimolowo's church for UK? Na still blacks. You go even think say na Naija. I think something is inherently wrong with the black man.

Even the Bible says at the end many fake prophets will rise up n not everyone that calls his name is frm him. And this is what is happening now the situation where u ave many end time pastors rising up wt strange doctrines n practices. who also misinterpret the Bible to gullible memebers. Bt it certainly doesn't mean that u cannot find any gud one, who may not be as popular as the fake ones. Fr every general rule there are exceptions that I knw.
