Callywood DG Egor Efiok Calls Out Lufthansa Airline For Unfair Treatment

Egor Efiok,The Director General of Callywood Film Studios recently called out Lufthansa airline...

Egor was amongst the passengers stranded after their flight was cancelled last weekend.

The flight which was from Port Harcourt to London via Frankfurt was cancelled without notice or explanation and the airline Management according to Egor
lodged she and other black passengers at a dirty hotel D-B Gardens in the slum part of the city but white passengers were lodged in the posh Presidential Hotel.

READ HER CALL OUT

''So Lufthansa took all the white people and white Germans on our cancelled flight on 27th July 2016 along with their staff to Presidential Hotel while they lodged the rest of us "niggers" at a super razz village hotel called De-B Garden Hotel, beside Igwuruta police station. Nepa took light since 9pm last night and their razz village receptionist called Edith is being rude to guests. You need to see their dirty boys quarter rooms with rusty taps and dirty bathrooms.

And as I am writing this, there is still no light. There is a family of 6 who live in Chicago stranded here too and all their phones and power banks are dead. It is the first time their children are visiting Nigeria too. Big SHAME on Lufthansa!

I am sooooo going to put them on blast for this!!!

Most annoyingly too, it was my first time ever flying with Lufthansa or flying from Port Harcourt and they have made my first experience a "memorable one". I was in London 3 weeks ago to arrange for my daughter to join me in Nigeria when her school closes for the summer holidays, but have been finding it difficult for her to travel unaccompanied to Nigeria, so decided to go back to bring her.

I bought our return tickets and then tried to bring the date of my British Airways return ticket forward to go and bring her...this was when my ordeal started. I spent over a week trying to get a date and finally abandoned the ticket in frustration to buy a Lufthansa one for almost double the price of a normal ticket, as this is peak season. I even bought dollars from their bureau de change near their office at Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt to purchase their ticket because I was so desperate to leave as my daughter and i are due back in Nigeria in a few days and I didn't want to be stuck in Nigeria until then.

After unceremoniously cancelling our flight without an explanation, Lufthansa then added insult to our already excruciatingly painful injury by lodging all the black people in the very dirty razz village De-B Garden Hotel where Nepa took light from 9pm...the light never came back on until the passengers were taken back to the airport the next day; Meanwhile, all the white passengers and Lufthansa crew were lodged at the prestigious Presidential Hotel.

I went to the reception in the morning and found other bewildered passengers there being confronted by De-B Garden Hotel's very uncouth receptionist called Edith who carelessly told passengers that the manager was not around and they can use candles in their rooms if they can't see and that their generator is being worked on...yeah right! I am certain they do not have a generator!

It was at that point I saw shocked messages on my Facebook status informing me that the Lufthansa staff and white guests were at Presidential Hotel. In fact one of the people who commented on my status was having breakfast with them. I then informed the bewildered passengers standing at the reception with me and it was then we all realised that none of the white people whom we saw at the airport stranded with us were at our own hotel.

I then put up the status message above in annoyance on Facebook and stormed out of the hotel in anger with Nana Marshall-Harry who came to my rescue, as I could not even shower in their filthy roach infested bathroom. I had to shower at Nana's house and stayed there until it was time to go back to the airport.

I heard also that Lufthansa shamelessly lied that passengers were lodged according to the "class of tickets" bought...big FAT LIE! So those of us that bought Premium Economy along with the Nigerian family of 6 from Chicago were the only non business class ticket holders? Or are they saying that ALL the white people on our flight bought business class tickets?

How come when we finally flew out on Thursday, at least 12 or more of the same white passengers that were stranded with us blacks the day before filed straight past me "deep inside Economy"? Shameless LIARS!!!

    1. She is ranting dust, most of these white people have Lufthansa Miles and More.. With that even when they fly economy they have preference in cases like this. She has no miles, never flown the airline before and she expects to get something over their loyal customers get? She thinks airline which is a business out to make money will lodge a random Estonian man for example in an expensive hotel because of the colour of his skin? Wetin concern them? She should educate herself, apply for a miles and more card and read the conditions stated therein.

    3. Anon my Nigerian lady friend who's married to a Brit guy went to Malaysia for holdiday with the kids. It was her first time flying Malaysian airlines and the flight was delayed till the next morning. Guess what? They lodged them in a nice two bed suite in an airport hotel, gave them dinner and brekkie and upgraded their tickets from economy to business class on the next flight. With plenty apologies.

She was the only one. Both whites and blacks were given fair treatment. So what are you saying? You allow these people treat us like trash and when we talk 'we are ignorant'. ITK!! Come and tell us about miles. Noah!! You know miles nau we don't. No airline Should do that. Their profit margins are high enough to cover such mishaps, if you don't know. Stop saying rubbish and park.

Maybe you work for Lufthansa sef.

He now sent a mail to the Nigerian manager and copied the foreign office before they responded and asked him to come and get his cash.

  16. GOD will surely punish the people at the helms in this airline. Nigerians should call for a boycott. Very racist airline! I have never had a good experience with them, ever! The last straw was in January 2012, very harrowing experience that I and my children will never forget.
We had flown into Nigeria for the christmas holiday but then the fuel subsidy brouhaha started. On the day we were supposed to leave Nigeria, most flights had been cancelled but some like Virgin, British Airways and Air France were still flying their passengers at night and put up their passengers in hotels. However, Lufthansa flew all their German staff working in Nigeria to Germany and simply put up a silly notice on the door of their airport office. No explanations, nothing!
People who flew in from the East in the hope to spend a few days in Lagos before travelling, had to sleep on the floor of the airport with their children as there was no free movement on the roads. Hooligans had taken over the streets at this point and were extorting money from people. It was very scary.
I will never forget the stress that I went through. We had to go the airport every night for about 3 nights consecutively in the hope that we will be lifted. Their phone lines had also shut down. We were calling Germany every other hour for updates, but as nothing was forthcoming, we decided to buy new tickets and travel back through Cotonou, this was now going into the 7th day.
Whilst plans were ongoing to travel through Cotonou, we were now in the 11th day, a reliable source at the airport informed my older sister that Lufthansa planes were coming into Nigeria the next day. He explained that everyone was stranded and we had to pay 100,000 naira for myself and 3 children to get seats. It was a cheaper option, so we went for it not knowing that it would be the beginning of our ordeal.
The man told us to arrive at the airport at 4pm for an 11 o'clock night flight. Thank God I used my discretion and packed more than enough food for the children. We finally arrived at 4pm after a near death experience with hooligans that were extorting money from drivers. You had to give them money at every junction to be allowed through the barrier.
The sight that met us on arrival at the airport was unbelievable. The queue to check in had reached the car park. I had 6 suitcases and all had to be carried by hand as no one could use trolleys.
We finally managed to get into the airport and found a corner for the children to sit in. The airport stank and was in a state as people had been sleeping there for a week plus. The toilets were not working either. To cut the long story short, we were finally checked in at around 1-2am in the morning, but not without my blouse being torn by a tout of a man who rough handled me when I was trying to pass our passports to the man helping us!
We eventually flew out at around 4am in the morning on a double decker plane that Lufthansa had brought in to evacuate human beings like slaves.
There was absolutely no apologies from Lufthansa, none. All through that flight, I could not sleep. All I was thinking about was ,if a war broke out in Nigeria, It won't be funny at all.
Also, we the passengers noticed that there was barely any white person on our flight, which made us arrive at the conclusion that all the white passengers had been flown out on other airlines.
We arrived Germany and a staff was very rude to me at the transfer desk. It was at this point that I lost it and other passenger joined in. Very useless airline. Other passengers were discussing how they were going to sue them but I was just glad to be rid of them. I repeat, very useless airline.

If she doesn't speak up this way, someday it might be any of us here. The injustice of airlines in our country due to the colour of our skin has gone on for so long, our CEOs started it by treating them like mini-gods and treating hard working staffs less.
    Thank you for speaking out

  27. What we fail to realise is those "white people" have embassies that work. Any kpakam (mishap) their embassy will swing into action, to as little as paying for hotel accommodation.
Dear Stella's friend. Leave them and face your government. Criticise them to change for good.
My sister in law came in from one of the small animals and had to go tell her embassy people that she is here. They ask for name, street number and called the land phone.
If our government don't value us then who will. We have no national airline.
I like her stance but I pray she becomes a true activist by calling out the government too.
