  5. Sincerely, all this fulani/ hausas will not make this country uneasy o. It wouldn't work if that is their plan, theey want to make themselves alpha and omega,God will not allow them. If the dog naming issue can cause so much rift why doesn't the collection of 100 by police from transporter be an head ache for them? What should the likes of obasanjo, patience Jonathan do? Abeg! They should free this man already o. And is it not on this blog that Stella too was saying the man should be curb so that others will not follow follow? Abeg, media too should assist his freedom and not add to his predicament. Am not hiding under anonymous to comment o,i just don't have the time to create or get someone to create it 4 me.

Ann:08:48 common don't be stupid. I bet you too have a pet and your pet is named after you? Even if it's named after you, they are so many people that share that same name with you. Have you ever tot about it that, jailing that man will do much more damaged than Good? If it's jailed that means people can start arresting anybody they hear calling a pet a name they share. Naming a pet after a leader is an honor. Like the names goes " A PET" and not a slave. Most of you out their that are calling for this mans head also have a pet name and some cry because their lovers don't pet them. PET is a beautiful word, so people of Africa don't make it sound negative. It's because of the bad state of Nigeria people take pets to mean slaves when it comes to animals. If you see the dog at the next door names OBAMA you will get jealous, the dog is well fed, drives in the front seat with it's owner, vets come to attend to it. But can we say same to suppose human we have in Nigeria? Some humans can't even have food to eat, if you see where some people call home you vomit all day. How many people can get a good healt care? Our government is not responsible and yet they take littel issue serious.

  16. People should stop spreading false news. The man who named his dog has a neighbor called "Alhaji Buhari".

He named his dog to spite his neighbor and not the president.

It is the neighbors son (Alh. Buhari's son) who is attacking the dog owner.

You all shd go back and read the article.

  18. Alibaba wants to remain relevant, Mr man who told you that Bubu haven't called them to order. Sonyoubwant him to go on national television to make such announcement before you believe he has done that. I don't think the police needs him to tell them what to do. So the commissioner of police of the state can't call them to order, must you all involve Bubu in everything, biko gbara ogwu gi nuo

  19. Dear alibaba, I am amazed at what you have written here it's your opinion truly but something is missing. You seem not to know the country we live in yet you recognise that Fulani herdsmen kill people anyhow and get away with it. The government do nothing about it -this government and the ones before it. You and all others whose onu unu na eru nokwu, how many times have you called on your people to kill back Fulani since the governments shield them. No time. They always get away with it, their people look the other way our people people preach restraint while the cycle continues. Who are always the victims? Not you people wey onu unu na eru nokwu but the poor and defenceless. Why is it like this? Because our country is lopsided, and those who can talk and insist and the right thing done refuse to talk. So as long as we are the way we are, it's better to prevent the loss of innocent lives and property because if these people are not assuaged as usual by invoking the law of conduct likely to cause breach of the peace, the man and his kind would go ahead and kill and destroy innocent people and nothing will be done to them. Need I remeund you of Gideon akaluka and so many others? For me living in this country if I have to name my dog buhari in my village no one would report me to police but I know that if I go to otta, Ibadan or isale eko and name my nonkey obasanjo, chances are some one would attack even my friend or relation whose consent I didn't even seek before the naming. And nothing would be done to them. Why fish in troubled waters?

  20. The 'buharians' never comment?

  21. Was that dog named after President Buhari? No. The complainant said he had issues with the Igbo man, who now named his dog after his father, Alhaji Buhari. He thereafter paraded the dog in their Hausa quarters to incite them.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It is not the act of naming his dog that is criminal, but his provocative postures and excesses of
    i) Inscribing the name on the dog, which is unacceptable to advocates of animal welfare,
ii) Walking the dog within a Hausa community in that area, and
iii) An action that he has not been known for.
Mr. Chinakwe went the extra mile in fomenting trouble and inciting and provoking people to violence. If the dog stays in his house with the inscription or he walks the dog without the “Buhari” inscription, very few people would know about the dog.
Having said that, two wrongs do not make a right.

  26. Alibaba or whatever ur name is....pls stop this misinformation and incitment...I am sure you don't know the background to this "buhari dog" saga. Just for the record, the incident has nothing to do with President Buhari.. For ur information "your man" named and displayed the name "BuharI" on his dog with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress to his neighbour or provoke immediate use of violence from him. Not only that, your man was caught publicly and arrogantly walking the dog with the name "Buhari" displayed to and fro severally right in front of his neighbours to provoke immediate use of violence. It was one of the neighbours whose father coincidentally was called Buhari, and who felt insulted and abused by the behaviour of "your man" that reported the matter to the police. "Your man" to summarise, was arrested by the police for a public order offence - a person is guilty of an offence if he uses words or behaviour towards another person or displays a visible representation/signs that are insulting, abusive or threatening with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress to another (or likely) or to provoke immediate use of violence by that other (or likely) Once such an allegation is made to the police they are duty bound to commence investigation and that precisely was what the police did...the offender could then be cautioned or charged to court as the case maybe

From the above you can see that the entire incident has nothing to do with President Buhari..People who called the former presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan names only got away with it possibly because the former presidents were not caused any harassment, alarm or distress. It is down to the victims to prosecute if alarmed or distress with the conduct of the offender

Mr Alibaba, before coming to the social media to incite innocent members of the public please make sure you get your facts right. The issue here is nothing to do with politics but criminality. If you need more explanation, pls let me know through this medium

Fulanis marauders and their killings are not enough to prosecute the leaders of the fulani communities station in the south East where people have been killed incessantly?

No prosecutions and heavy media coverage for these?

    3. Anonymous 11:06. Thank u.

The Buhari here isn't the President. But of course, Nigerians find it convenient to involve the president so that it'll seem like an "innocent" citizen is being "oppressed" for his sake.

Honestly, I also thought the Buhari mentioned was the President, not until I read the full report of the case did I notice it was another Buhari.

Una don dey turn this thing to a tale of 2 Buhari's abi?

Sisi Lawyer Abeg why is the IGP taking special interest in this case and requesting for case file if this is not in the interest of one Buhari at the top?

Why has the Zamfara killing of 8 people not received special attention from the IGP?

Sisi Shebi u sabi say them don kill new people for Enugu state? Why Oga Franco people never rush go request for case file from Enugu this week?

  27. Alibaba just nail it. Nigeria government are too stupid. Instead of them to take charge of more pressing issues in Nigeria, they're here busy arresting people for giving their dogs the name of government officials. Jonna and Patience no arrest anybody when the mass was making jest of them

  28. Come to think of it. Do pet owners WRITE the names of their pets on the pet's body? It was obvious the Igbo man's objective was incitement, and he got it. He should not complain.

  29. There are serious issues needing attention please let this man go . People are hungry, there is no money anywhere pls president Buhari help the masses and ignore this man.
