For their patriotic efforts geared towards reviving democracy and repositioning the country, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, revered monarch, Ooni of Ife and Senator Dino Melaye and other distinguished Nigerians received commendation in from of garlands recognising their patriotic roles to the nation.
Organised by Hall of Grace (HOG), magazine, the award, whose grand custodian is two- term Honourable Minister of Youths and Sports, Chief Alex Akinyele held on August 21, at the Summit centre in Alausa, Lagos.
Garlands celebrating graceful and purposeful leadership and sacrifice to the nation were given to Governors of Anambra and Osun States, Willie Obiano and Rauf Aregbesola, Ooni of Ife, imperial majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Aare Afe Babalola, (SAN), founder of Afe Babalola University, Senator Dino Melaye, Senator Representing Kogi West Federal Constituency, Kogi State and Professor Dupe Olatunbosun among others.
Melaye was honoured for speaking out against powers that are threatening the sustenance of democracy while governors Aregbesola and Obiano, were honored for the massive developmental projects embarked upon in their various states.
The Ooni of ife, was recognised for his role as a peace maker.The awards organisers think he has become an example and role model for others.

ReplyDeleteAregbesola for not paying workers salary for months or for allowing religious 'anarchy' in his state? Dino Milaye for his unguarded utterances? what contribution to democracy?.
ReplyDeletena who commend aregbe? the man that owes our lecturer 13 month salary? the only reason we have not resumed is CUs of this man, Oyo has done her part already.. the man is heartless, we dare not protest reach his side..na tear gas sure pass, whenever our v.c wanna meet with him to discuss the situation of the school he would say he does not have time...rubbish!
