''My name is Ikedichi Solomon Iromuanya. I am 35 yrs old and have been diagnosed with a Renal disease and have been on dialysis for a long time .

Presently I am on dialysis at FMC Umuahia in Abia State Nigeria and I need a kidney transplant. The cost of the surgery is $30,000 equivalent to N10million Naira.

I need this funds as quickly as possible just so I can live a normal life again. How I long to carry my adorable daughter again in my arms and be her caring daady again. There is no  amount that is too small and I pray that Almighty God who sees in secret will reward you openly as you show me kindness at such a difficult time as this''.

''Hello Stella,
I am one of your BVNs, My brother has been sick for quite a long time now. Doctor said that his 2 kidneys are bad and need replacement. I have been the one paying for his dialysis for sometime now. The cost of his surgery is almost 10million Naira.
Stella where do I get this money from. This is my elder brother, we are 4 in my house and my parents are late. He has a wife and a 6 months old baby. Am just confused at the moment. My little job does not pay upto 50k. His dialysis alone in a week is 56k.
Where do I start from? Who do I run to? Right now my only option is asking for help anywhere I can get one. Please Stella. Help me and share with your blog visitors and well meaning Nigerians. Nothing is too small.
Please save my brother.

  5. May God lay his healing hands on him and may he find favor in Jesus name. I feel your pay, the stress and funds involved in taking care of a kidney patient is not a small thing most especially in this bad economy. May God help you and your family. Your brother will live to testify to the glory of God.

After that incident it will be a little hard to garner as much support as she did.

    1. Seriously! They should. She has gone to the Maker and after reasonable deductions for her funeral expenses, the money should be transferred to a Charitable Organization, or they should fund a Charity in her name and the money used to help the needy.
This is how it is done in civilized nations; instead of enriching themselves and becoming overnight millionaires.
      God sees all.

  32. Dear Stella, it is important to let people know that kidney transplant is not a cure. The cost of the medications and tests you take after a transplant runs btw 300k to 500k a month and you have to take these drugs for a life time. If you don't take them the new kidney will fail as well. Also If the transplant does not take place in a reputable institution that has up to date technology to prepare the patient and donor, other issues like antigens in the donor blood not taken out may attack the new kidney. Sometimes it's cheaper and safer to remain on dialysis if you see a good Dr that will manage all other symptoms and illness associated. Many people live a normal life or as close to normal as possible while on dialysis. There are people who are on dialysis for many years. Not every renal patient is a transplant patient. Let him get well while on dialysis. Emma ugolee a sound city presenter is a dialysis patient. You can check his page on IG. He has had a transplant that failed due to antigens in his donors blood that attacked the new kidney in his own body. If the surgery was done in the US, he may have been lucky because they will treat that before transplant. Most people cannot afford post transplant care. That is the cause of OJB jezreel's death. He could no longer afford his medication and his new kidney failed. Please get proper education on renal failure and transplant before soliciting for money. If you are starting a go fund me page for transplant what is your plan for the after care.

  33. This kidneys issue in Nigeria.

Can the Federal Government provide a free clinic or free clinics, that deals only with Kidney Dialysis cases and after care?

    May your brother recover fully.

I wish I had practiced Medicine. That my parents would have afforded to train me as a Medical Doctor, specialising in renal care.

I would have been getting abroad assistance, to treat our people for free or for concessions.

Mehn; where are these rich Nigerians, sef?
