No Lives Lost in Anambra Multiple Accident

No fewer than nine persons sustained various degrees of injuries in a multiple accident that occurred along the popular ziks Avenue, Awka in the early morning of Monday August 15.



Though, no life was lost but over 15 vehicles including many tricycles were seriously damaged in the carnage that involves a luxurious bus with the registration number: HAL 276YG, belonging to a popular motor transport owner in the state.
The driver of the said truck, who is now at large, disappeared immediately the incident occurred and is still on the run...






“In my shop alone, it damaged what is not less than N500,000 because the bus hit the Mecedez car that packed in front of my shop and with the force, it landed on my shop damaging many wares and part of the building itself” he said.
Confirming the figure, the State Commander of Federal Road Safety Corp, Mr. Sunday Ajayi disclosed that nine persons, two females and seven males were rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hosspital, Amaku by his men, attributing the cause of the multiple accident to a distress vehicle, which he said, resulted to the break failure.




“Break does not fail suddenly, the vehicle got distress and failed break which resulted into the multiple accident. We thank God that no life was lost but the driver is nowhere to be found but we will get him. ......

    Just heard of a woman that slumped after she got to her shop this morning and discovered that thieves broke in and carted away over 100bags of rice. 200bags of rice in this dispensation when 1 bag is 22k! I pray she survives this.
