Omugwo Chronicles -41

This Omugwo Chronicle na wah...Ewoo!!!

Hello Stella I'm  the WNB poster of last Friday 64, the one you termed the best so far *shines teeth*, thanks to all bv's  who wished me well and keyed in to my tale,  all your testimonies  awaits you.  And finally  to bv James,  does it matter if my DH is rich or not?

What I personally admire about Stella is her non bragging  nature about her earnings,  she will never flaunt this or that and that's  typically  me, nonetheless  I also like to work and spend my own cash,  to answer your question,he's  got good money to cater for us all.
I took in almost 6 months into the marriage, that was when reality began to set in,  pregnancy  isn't easy for real.  I experienced  nausea,  oedema,  mood swings and weird cravings at odd times.  I remember  asking DH to go buy me noodles and geisha at midnight  and while at it he should get a couple of fayrouz  drinks for me when he objected I burst Into hot tears saying the baby needs it not me...lmao,  he quickly went out at that ungodly hour to get me the items.

Several odd times I demanded even more weird meals like Pap,kunun aya,  suya and so on, he stood by me all through. My EDD  elapsed and the baby didn't  want to come out,  the gynea  advised I take my exercise  more seriously  to ease delivery and kinda to induce labour,  DH and I took to the thread mill and cycling, to be honest his support  was overwhelming as all my ANC visits he tagged along.

3am on one fine Saturday  morning  I woke up to pee and noticed my pyjamas  was wet again, I thought  my pee touched it and I changed, next one I wore same thing,  I began to cry(that was me,  any lil thing not going rightly I'd  cry in pregnancy), I woke DH up saying I was wet,  he asked immediately  if I wanted him to put 'IT' inside as he wanted to collect for the past few weeks and I kept refusing,  he actually  thought  the wet I said was sexually
....lol.

He knew this wasn't  normal when pains started building and the wetness started showing streaks of blood,  quickly  he loaded the vehicle with my delivery  kit and assisted me to the hospital,  my vitals were immediately   taken and was referred straight  to delivery room,  an IV line was set and was given some injection  to speed up labour. That was when I turned to prayer warrior,  the pain could  be felt from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet,  with severe emphasis on my lower back. DH assumed the role of a masseurs in the delivery to ease the pain.

I pleaded for epidural but was told I had gone past the stage,  I was made to bear the pain.  When I told them I wanted to poop the nurses confirmed I was fully dilated and I was briefed on how to push the baby out safely.
One, two,  three push!  I pushed like I had constipation, after  two  more pushes the baby's head popped out and I heard DH shout,  "Damn!  Holy Moses,  is that a humans head? " in the most unadulterated  foreign  accent, everybody in the room burst into laughter.

While I was been stitched up (episiotomy )DH had announced to everyone he was a father of a beautiful baby girl. My mum quickly  started making arrangements  to catch the morning  flight to our base, I was wheeled to my private room and was served hot beverage To Help my breast milk flow.

My mum kept calling  every minute  asking  how I was doing and promised  to be with me in no time,  before noon she had arrived, DH picked her up and brought  her to the hospital and made to leave for home immediately  saying my mum brought Ghana must go full of food items.

We got discharged  48hours later with a clean bill of health,  on reaching home I saw DH had washed the baby's clothes  and mine,  what made me laugh was the nightengale towel he washed too... Lol.

For the next 6weeks I was pampered, my mum cooked, the free flow of pepper soup was what DH enjoyed more than me,  she took care of me,  massaged my body at every bathe time with emphasis  on my tummy area and still took care of the baby.

When she left hubby and I adjusted  quite well to the new routine, he assisted in feeding the baby,  took time to play on the floor with her, sang nursery  rhymes he formed from mathematical  equations, he'll say it's  never to early to teach them...lol, he'd iron  washed clothes, load and unload the dish washer while I attended to other chores and within 2years we had another baby.

MIL had to come do omugwuo as I lost my mum to cancer. Her son kept arguing  with her she wasn't  helpful and openly compared her to my late mum, she expected  to be rather taken care of,  she left after a week and we employed a care nurse to come assist us,  it's  been 5years now the nurse has been with us who has filled in as a nanny and a care giver.

DH and I have closed the idea of baby making and I'm  been placed on a long and safe FP,  we only have sex for sake of orgasms.... Hehehehe

Stella I think you should have nanny/ Maid chronicles too.

HA!!!..This your Omugwo chronicle na wah!...Love it!...Make i raise hands for you!

THAT PART JUST SPOILT THIS STORY FOR ME.

    13. Torrr. If indeed you are a mother, you'd understand the weird cravings attached to each pregnancy. You won't even feel like touching ur own cooking, that is if u get the energy to cook at all sef.

You needed to have seen me when I was pregnant with my first, arrghhh, even my husband's cologne irked the shit out of me. Till date I've refused to allow him use that Givenchy perfume cos the smell takes me back many years and it makes me SICK!! Lol.

Ah, with my second nko, the man will be looking for prawn crackers upandan in every Chinese restaurant. The cravings were bad, really bad. I'd just tap him and say, oya oga, I want to eat ponmo in peppered stew.. or I want to drink garri water. See yeye cravings ehn.. he would just oblige me but sometimes he murmured though. Lol.

So pls don't blame any pregnant woman o. Symptoms and cravings vary for each person biko. The mere thought of being pregnant again is even making me nauseous already. Eheheh

      OK bye

  24. Anon 14:04 a little sugar for you. I am a mother of two and i managed my cravings very well as well. This does not mean any woman that did not manage her cravings as well as i did is a lesser mother than i am. I know if i had asked my husband to get me ANYTHING at ANYTIME during ANY of my pregnancies, he would have gladly done so. So, please, enough with the pride. Also, there is mo place she mentioned the husband cooked it for her or he bought it cooked, she said he went out and bought Indomie and Geisha. Perfect pregnancy carrier

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey married people should enjoy together the way they enjoyed the lovemaking .
