President Buhari's Reaction To Dog Named After Him...

...So a dog was named Buhari and all hell broke loose with some people even saying Buhari the President Ordered the arrest and detention of Buhari the dog's owner....
Media spokesman Garba Shehu in these tweets explains what the Presidents reaction is....

*LOL.
My Niece in law and her boyfriend wanted to buy a dog named Stella and i kept wondering if  it was because they liked me so much or trying to name shame me.
I kept asking ''So when we meet at family outing and somebody says Stella, who should answer?''..I didnt find it funny but they meant no harm at all but i was happy when the Dog named Stella was unavailable to be adopted by them...hhehehehehe

The Nigerian Police took it too far by arresting him abeg,if they are less busy, they should go and help the army find the chibok girls.

    2. I just read what Orji Uzor Kalu wrote about the whole drama. He also didn't see a big deal in naming ones dog after whosoever. It is well

    4. I said it yesterday that it's malicious of anyone to suggest that it was Buhari that ordered the arrest of that man. Haba.

Or rather, some people wanted him (President) to react publicly to the issue? Like seriously? Ex, Ali Baba.

Let me ask, If the president didn't order for the man's arrest ab-initio, why should he then involve himself with his release??????

All actions regarding this matter should be treated within the confines of the offender's jurisdiction...the law enforcement authorities of where the matter was reported should use their discretion in accordance with the law. It is not a national issue.. it's a damn misdemeanor abeg.

They shouldn't involve the President in such an irrelevant matter. That's all

  2. Stella, God will bless you real good for saying that. Help me beg them to go and fight.

  6. It's very annoying if Mr President sees this issue as a laughing matter. I agree d guy was being mischievous but I feel we Ave gotten 2 a point when the police should be called to order. We Ave enough issues to handle and adding ds silly one does not portray us as people who know what they r doing.

  18. The story is, the accused neighbours father is also named Buhari, they are not cordial whatsoever. So the accused got a dog, named it Buhari and put a big name tag round his neck and paraded the dog round the compound. The neighbour lodges a complaint with the police for aggrevation and mischief.
Please think so your neighbour names a dog buhari then you go call the president or police, does this make sense to any right thinking person?

You all need to read thestory again he named his dog buhari and was parading the dog in Hausa community instead of them to fight him they reported him to the police,he was instigating violence he wasn't arrested cos he named his dog buhari it was due to d motive of going to d Hausa community we all know how d Kalman's behave is a good thing they reported and didn't take matters into there own hands

    1. Read what story again mranonymous, that he paraded his buhari on nigerian soil n they reported him.would they have reported him if the dog was named jack and why would they go as far as wasting tax payers money by taking him to court and locking him up if not for abuse of power.there is no cogent reason enough to back this nonsence expect for tribalism.

  21. The military are using the strength and resources of this nation for the wrong reason.how can the media spokesman see killing a dog and jailing an innocent man laughable.killing and frustrating people because of religion is demonic.buhari is nigerias president n not hausa/fulani president.human rights are meant to b respected period.

  22. Imagine, this is just a reprehensible use of state powers to settle a personal score, if this even qualifies as a "score", or at best the gross display of unguarded sycophantic zealousness on the part of the security agencies who erroneously persist in persecuting the young trader. That is a most blatant abuse of state powers and a terrifying curtailing of man's liberty.

  23. The police blew it out of proportion.

  24. But honestly it makes no sense, so many people bear the name Buhari why must people stick the dog name to the President?
If he actually named the dog all of the Presidents name then there can be problem.

  26. Freedom of speech is guaranteed, but freedom after speech is not guaranteed. The said guy was mischievous, but the President has the veto of power to call who soever is involved in this case to release the guy.

Is not that serious! If President Buhari have heard about this case and he's taking it as a laughing matter; is not right. He should do the right thing because he has the final say as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Even the Westerners that most Nigerians are trying to emulate by fire and force; freedom after speech is not guaranteed here. A lot of underground atrocities takes place in western countries by their leaders which is not portray publicly.

  27. Police are there seeing f ulani herdsmen killing people everywhere, instead they prefer to arrest someone that meant no harm other than naming a dog Buhari
    Shame on Nigeria Police.

  28. WHY SHOULD THE PRESIDENT CALL ANYONE TO ORDER? SO THE LAW CAN BE INFLUENCED BY THE PRESIDENT NOW HUH? MOST OF YOU ON HERE ARE TALKING NONSENSE. "POOR MAN THIS, POOR MAN THAT"... when he was using the dog to stir up violence and causing trouble tagging the dog name "BUHARI" on it and parading it you all didnt cry wolf.

PLEASE WEE YOU KEEP KWAYET?! IF A SCAPE GOAT IS CAUGHT, SERVES AS A LESSON TO OTHERS.IF YOU LIKE MAKE FUN CARTOONS OF HIM BECAUSE HE FINDS IT FUNNY, YOU JUST MIGHT BE THE NEXT SCAPE GOAT!

LEST I FORGET, THOSE OF YOU THAT THINK POLICE MEN HAVE TIME ON THEIR HANDS, I SEE THAT YOU DONT HAVE TIME ON YOUR OWN HANDS ALWAYS COMING TO SOCIAL MEDIA , YOU CAN JOIN NIGERIA POLICE FORCE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

STOP WAITING ON OTHERS AND COMPLAINING,MAKE AN EFFORT!

    In this case....
How many years improsonment do you recommend?
10years?or maybe a life time..probably death by hanging! Tell me.

I put it to the police and every other law enforcement involve in this that they are being over zealous just because the name Buhari happens to be the president's name, coincidentally.

These are two neighbors having squabbles and should be treated as such.
If they are indeed guarding this man because of the "violence" this might cause(even though I think it is animalistic for us to be in a country were a certain group of people, religion,Tribe get overly sentimental and violent at random for little provocation) he won't be treated as a criminal.

A neighbour lodged a complaint you say,how many such cases have been treated with so much seriousness like this in the past?

    Eye service at its peak!!!!!
I dare say there are 2 kinds of people around the president:
The ones afraid of him because of the infamous tales of how rigid and firm he is......
And those ones that are bad,but hiding under the cloak of "change" and losing their identity just to be accepted and "praised" by the boss.

Unfortunately people like President Buhari will someday sniff them out,if he can discern.
    Stand for the truth always!

That man should be released immediately.
Hopefully he will leave that area unhurt.
