The Heart Breaking Story Of Olachi Mandarina Emmanuel...

This a sad story...
I have been all over facebook reading all the posts and what led to her abrupt departure..

What caught my attention was the Domestic Violence tagged to the cause of her death.
I read further and this young woman died as a result of spousal neglect...

According to the story, she has been married a year and had complications during Child birth... According to the story, her waist broke and thereafter her supposed Rich husband drove her back to her parents house and dumped her there until she passed on.I am not sure but if that is how it played out but that is what i read on facebook.
She was committed to Mother earth on Friday July 29th....A day before her Bundle of Joy clocked a year old..

So many things are not clear, how did she break her waist during child birth?I have never heard of such before.
Why did her husband dump her back at her parents place?
Why didnt she get medical assistance?

I dont understand. Was there Domestic Violence involved?should her husband be called out or allowed to walk free?

What is the real story?

RIP Olachi...

Ladies please love yourself, so someone can love you just as you are.
A man who loves you would do everything and anything to protect you no matter the size of his pocket.
And it's not even about this young lady since no one knows for a fact if she died due to DV but please walk away as fast as you can from a man with fast hands.

Only God knows what actually happened. If the family of the deceased dont avenge her death, who will?
May her gentle soup RIP.

Ok, If one more person ask me why I am unmarried at 30, I'll just refer them here. What is this? The only thing society know is to pressure young girls to marry. God please save your children. Please what is HELP syndrome? as per a pregnant woman having HELP syndrome

This is so painful, where was her family when all this was happening. If they couldn't protect her when she was alive, is it now they want to start staying rubbish.
Parents should learn to get their children's back. Learn to show love, they shouldn't act like they didn't know this was going on. RIP dear n may God protect your daughter. Rich man my foot.

By my calculation, she was already pregnant when she got married so maybe he married her cus she was pregnant. I say that because if he married her for love and promised to spend the rest of his life with her, he wouldn't have done what he did...but what do I know? The heart of man is desperately wicked. I have witnessed dv happen to ladies around me and it has happened to me too. Is there ever any (good) explanation for it? RIP beautiful Olachi! my heart bleeds.

RIP Olachi. She looks 16 and fragile. God why?

Few women experience the waist numbness after delivery and if her own is a permanent nerve damage, it means that the Catheter was wrongly inserted or she didn't get to a 4cm and above dilation before epidural anaesthesia was administered.

Some use walking stick while undergoing therapy for at least 3 years but the healing comes thereafter. And the husband that dumped her doesn't have a Mother or Aunties who bore children before? Where's her family in all of these? Something is not adding up. This story is not complete.

Where is Dr Elena? Please expatiate on epidurals, they help and kill as well.

God, may what is bigger than us not encompass us.

Yeah. Some women break pelvic bone during childbirth. Have actually seen one. She had rods abi na iron attached to her hips after delivering. Hers was that her child was big and she apparently didnt have money for caeserean operation. The whole thing dislodged. In some countries sef, the doctors have to dislodge the bones to be able to bring out the baby. Dont know if the practise is still done now.
In this case, maybe she didnt get to see a good doctor and bone doctor to set it back. Such a young woman. RIP

‎Yeah, a point having rational deficiency. It goes to show the pedestrian mentality of a lot of people. How can any right thinking individual with a sufficient dose of self-confidence and self-worth prefer to bury a 24 year old MRS than see a 35 year old MISS? Of course, we all can make "points" with our various beliefs and ideologies but ‎some are down right RIDICULOUS!

Marriage, if hit right, can be one of the most splendid and satisfying experiences ever but if it's a hit and miss...it becomes your personal hell on earth and can cost you your life, quite literally and figuratively. I'm blessed to be a proud mama of an adorable angel, she still a little princess and it's a mother's dream to see her daughter marry an amazing guy who loves and treats her like the Queen she is.

‎ The standard is even higher since she's privileged to have the best dad in the world and all she has seen is how her dad practically worships and adores her mum. I got married at 24 but I'll be damned to allow my angel get married at any age to a guy who isn't a gentleman through and through and knows her worth.‎ I don't care whatever crass terminology may have been invented at that time for older single ladies but I'll rather have her alive and single at 40 than dead at 24 but "at least, we get to print MRS right after "late"! " God forbid! So she may be called derogatory names like "gwes" or whatever, so what? Sticks and stones make break her bones but certainly not words. I'm raising her up to be self-reliant and unfazed by unkind words.

Marriage, the way God intended it to be, should be experienced by everyone but the corrupted version which is preeminent nowadays, should be avoided at all cost‎. If it doesn't feel right in your gut, if you know deep down you can do better, if getting married to a particular person feels like the "rational" next step because you've been together for a long time, it will prudent to re-evaluate before the "I do s". It's never an intelligent decision to marry while the flames of passion have burnt out or is barely there. The flames of passion should be red hot as you walk down the aisle because after some years in marriage, it still burns bright but it normalises somewhat. Of course there will be some days when the love shared between you guys is overwhelming, like the honeymoon phase but there are also a few moments when your spouse suddenly becomes not so loveable yet you know you still wouldn't trade him for the world.

I have no idea what transpired to cause her death but my heart bleeds for her family and friends, especially the little angel left without a mum. May she rest in peace.‎

Thanks XP. My sis had similar issues after birthing her baby. She had epidural at the right time and no catheter(not sure it's exclusive to catheter and epidural timing) but towards evening after the birth process, she became unable to move. And that was how what we thought was a joke lingered on for the next 3 months. She was first introduced to a cart like stuff to help her move around and with time, she was able to do with, walking stick. Her case was well managed cos it happened in the US and today, she's fine.

I was shocked to read that this led to her death. RIP to her.

I don't even understand why such a beautiful girl will stoop so low as to marry a Benue man. What type of money does he have? Shameful.

Anonymous said...

And what will your marriage do for you when your corpse is rotting in the earth. You guys are soooo daft! Insecure married women with zero achievement. I'm married as a choice and I live with my husband as a choice. We have achieved and we will achieve a lot outside marriage. Career wise, reputation wise, finance wise.
I noticed that many married women on this blog were either betrothed by their impoverished families or living as slaves and housewives. That is why they'll die in a man's house than be useful. Many have BSC for fancy from local igbo schools or yoruba poly. Bsc acquired for marriage. Leave that chin chin you want to be making in a man's house or supermarket you want to open and find a way to achieve. Arent you ashamed to see single girls flying themselves to exotic countries and signing multi national deals? Oh, I get it, you're ashamed but sadly, you know your intellect or husband cannot allow you be great, so you take out yo frustration on successful single ladies calling them gwegwegwe or wareva.that is the only way you feel good about your failure.in yo mind, you have something they dont. Nne, nobody wants to be married to yo broke husbands who allow you to come here and be begging for pampers or yo roving penis who has 5 side chicks and makes you weep and write chronicles.

Happily married women dont diss single ladies because they are contented with their lives. They only wish them all the best in finding their own, if na their choice to marry. Only failures go about looking for who to bully.

Sometimes I dont blame all d women who go thru domestic violence for refusing to quit their marriages. Firstly, our society doesnt encourage women who leave their marriages for whatever reason, be it extra marital affairs or DV. We criticise such women. Call them names and stigamtize them for failing to make their marriages work. Its Until there is a death involved that people now strt blaming the victims that they should ve left sooner. How could they leave? When even the single ladies out there are being mocked for being unmarried. They are forced to remain cus they must bear the "MRS". people even go as far as picking on the kids of the women who found d strength to leave. They taunt and humiliate the kids by calling dem names. Secondly, d law doesnt prosecute d men for hitting their wives until it has resulted to death. You'll go to the police station to make a report that your hubby hits you, you'll see them laughing saying "abeg make una carry una husband and wife matter go house" imagine that?! Until the law starts taking it seriously I don't think DV can be solved.

Tessbaby said...

My dear d quest 4 dis MRS title is so real ppl will rather die 4 it. But do u blame them? D stigma that comes with being single at 25 n above is worse.

As much as what the husband did might not have been right, what is the duty of care and role of her parents? Were they happy to have finally married her off to a "rich" man to save themselves financial burdens?

I have alot, as in a lot of them living around my farm, infact most of the people surrounding my poultry are TIv.you can't trust them as far as you can throw them. They drink themselves to stupor, give birth to kids they can't train, eat rat, centipede, millipede, if its dead, just name it,they can eat it.Infact give a TIv man dead rat and live chicken,he'd probably take the dead rat. And wow, they are so dirty! Its almost like they are competing for the, lets see who can Have this whole place stinking award. And they like to steal, thank God for the no nonsense Fulani security man I have, he keeps them in proper check. I'm really sorry to the Good TIv people out there,if there are any, but the experience I've had with the Tivs is something else. Their women are so promiscuous. They can fuck for Africa, infact we have a nickname for one of them, I can go on and on, but let me just keep quiet now, order some pizza and await the backlash that would come from this comment. Rest in peace Olachi, u didn't Dodge the bullet u saw coming. You should have let that man marry a TIv woman. No matter how rich or impoverished they are, only a TIv woman can truly handle a TIv man without that marriage crashing like a pack of cards. The funny thing is,u see some of their women marry Other tribes, and noone brings their dead bodies home.Rest in peace.May God watch over the daughter you left behind.

Let me take space here

Stella, my mum walks a certain way because when she gave birth to my younger sister she said it affected her waist. Now she excercises and still wears heels, so it's not noticeable. But some mornings when she's not in the mood, it's noticeable. Abroad (US I'm sure) they do a lot of physio for women who have this post natal bone shift. Some are even scared to give birth again, so they do proper counseling and physio. Infact, when you take your baby for check up they ask if you're experiencing pains around your hip bone or back area. So they can deal with it earlier.

Now to the issue. See why I work hard? I always said to my friends that I MUST have my money before I marry. So No man will use me and do yeye. And God has really been faithful. If she was self sufficient now, she for take the next flight go for better treatment. Before it kills her. This thing isn't even a serious issue like that. I'm sure it can be fixed in good hospitals in Nigeria. But as she no get Na, man go use her do yeye. See these men? They sing love today and change tommorow. But we wont shine our eye. You see 26 year old fresh graduate will wake up and say she's under pressure to marry. Because Amara married Kanu and is okay in her husband's house. Girls won't face reality and know that each man is different. Now see what this idiot used this fine girl to do? Why did they cover his face? Thy should have left it so others can see!!! Now that little girl has lost a mum so early in life. Too bad!! RIP to her

I'm sure when I'm not there they gossip about me being this or that cos they chip it into our convos. But I've told them not to be telling me about their issues again. Let us all enjoy our current situations and our various portions of Gods blessings.

Chikito The Professional Runs Girl said...

Assuming she's from a humble background nko? Maybe even to eat is a problem. Do you know? Thinking about it maybe that's what even picked her to marry this yeye man.... Chei! 😥

Young girls let's follow our dreams first before Following man! When you're comfortable the men will be flocking around. The toasters i have now are more and better than the ones I had when I wasn't as independent. I don't pick calls sef. Cos I don't know who is joking or serious. Whether my dad has money or not, doesn't affect my status. I don't depend on folks, instead I even assist when I see a need. And I make it clear to the guys so they don't think I'm one airhead who doesn't know where I'm coming from. I'm self sufficient and respected for being myself. Not to be a burden to my parents at my age, whether single or married. It's not good.

That's the closest I've come to a Tiv person as far as I remember. I see her now on favebook looking worn out. And always preaching. This story really broke me, read it few days ago. Very pathetic story.
Yes Stella, some women do hip bone dislocated in cause of giving birth. I saw one case like that at National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu then, she was 'put' on traction, she was very very depressed ooo, the only time she smiles or talk is when the hubby and mom brings her daughter for her to breastfeed. I was single then so didn't really understand her 'snobbish' nature. I am now a mom I FULLY comprehend. She was discharged after 4weeks, and God so kind, she was well.
I don't really understand the whole story, but I was pained that such a young mom smart lady died, leaving behind an adorable baby. May she continue to Rest In peace, Amen.

But women will still leave the man that loves them the most, citing " i hv tried to love him bk but i just cant" in the end, they end up with a monster that they love and think they are loved bk

Today a man with a ring on was asking me out, is that the kind of shameless husbands with no respect you have, or the married men who live on my street and have no respect on their wives and still ask me out? Many married women are in pain, fact

What are you saying? Shebi I wrote a chronicle about how my younger sister who is a Dr threatened to disown our dad and literally acted a fool just to marry a man that till today does not speak with any of her family members - why? Because she is desperate. My mum and even myself tried to, at least, show this man some affection since he probably doesn't know what familial love is as he came from a broken home but he never responds to my mum's messages- very arrogant and disrespectful idiot. He has even turned his wife's head and she looks at helping out our parents as wrong and says that our parents should rather sell our family house in GRA ph (that we grew up in o), and take the millions realised to either move to a "cheaper area" or retire to the village and start a business- this is exactly her husband's stance and I'm surprised she is echoing this..
If tomorrow something happens to her, one idiot will come and say my family did not try? When the girl in question is a desperate fool who would rather be married to an idiot that shows no iota of respect to her family than be a self reliant, smart and beautiful medical Dr?
Oh Pls, some people have it coming- especially where all, not some, of your family members are against a union buy you think you are the only person that understands the person you're with.

I have achieved more than all the women in your family combined. The men that have asked for my hand in marriage are beyond your wildest dreams. I am not here hailing myself for marriage then going and crying out anonymously on an empty belly. This is no consolation darling, you are miserable in that marriage. We know as e de go. I am happy being a gwegs. In fact some of your husbands beg and cry for money to feed from me. So what is there to envy in your pathetic, sub human, slave life. When that man is tired of the burden you are he will break your head and drop you from q building. Idiot anonymous. You think everyone is desperate to be in the chains and misery you have found yourself. Hahahaha. Ntor. I must marry by force moron.

Nigerian husbands are nothing to write home about. You should be ashamed of yourself. Same boasting from Flora that was beaten and disgraced on Facebook. Hahahaha. See what you are proud of, when your mates are becoming governors. Idiot old married fool, go to IHN and beg for your daily bread. I am sure that is the success you ascribe to your husband. Teaching you how to scan the so called gwegs for money on IHN. Miserable and frustrated hag. Na your type de worship husband wey dey do yes ma to us and lick our anus on demand. Idiot. When they break your head, let us know where to contribute so you can run before they drop you from building.

I truly concur with you on this serious issue. May God in his infinite mercy grant her eternal life/rest. Truly sad in this century of ours, women are still made to feel like 'a material',when new, you are good to be worn but when over worn, you are tossed out or ruff handled.
We are who we are if we, start knowing what we truly deserved first as a human, before been categorized under any gender. No one should be treated without utmost love both women and men.

Marriage should never be seen as a do or die affair nor as an achievement even though the Nigerian society, doesn't fully see it in such limelight.
