Charles Novia Asks ''Where is Olajumoke Orisaguna the Bread-Seller-Turned-Model?''

Olajumoke Orisaguna has vanished from social media, and this has gotten a lot of people talking.

Yesterday, top filmmaker, Charles Novia, took to his Facebook page to point out the oddity in the model’s disappearances from media, a fear he had earlier expressed after corporations fought over each other to hype the former breadseller.

“We don’t hear anymore about the Bread Seller turned model, Olajumoke Orisaguna,” Novia said on his Facebook yesterday. “I wrote at the beginning of the media frenzy over her that she was just the flavour of the moment for a public looking for sweet distraction from realities in the polity and that she would be discarded by that same public and media once the curiosities wane. It’s happening now, innit?”

Olajumoke’s story kept social media busy for many months, until she slinked away from public eye. However, in May, the mother of two resurfaced on social media to confirm that she dumped Few Models, the agency that first signed her on after her breaking story stunned the world, for Beth Model Africa.

Also, Olajumoke confirmed she was set to launch her foundation, the “Olajumoke Orisaguna foundation”. This came after she reportedly gave out N200,000 to some 40 breadsellers.

Now, there are worries that the media profited from her story and now has dumped her since the frenzy is over.

Her Instagram page was last updated six weeks ago.

“I thought about her two days ago and even did a social media random check. They no longer update her social media sef!,” Facebook user Ngozi Okafor said yesterday, and another, Dino Cee, said:
“The whole thing looks like a staged managed conspiracy drama but if it really was a true story then I think the girl should be blamed for not advancing herself using the opportunity she got from that overnight fame, I mean that she should have used that opportunity to push herself into the Nollywood or try by any means to release a music album so as to remain relevant in the public circle, modeling is a career that you are only relevant when you are sought-after and it is very difficult for deals to come by all the time but in the Nollywood at least she can always get something with that quick fame even if it is a sub or extras if her charges are moderate, in the music she can always make herself an album anytime she wants more especially this days that lyrics has no meaning but rhythms to Nigerians.”

What do you think?

*just noticed her nice curly weavon for the first time.

I think people should let jumoke be and worry about themselves.
Like, with all what is going on in naija now, i'd bother my pretty head about jumoke taking a backseat from the limelight?
If thats how its written in the stars about her, ain't nothing nobody gon do.

I totally agree with him,the hype from the begining was crazy and unnecessary, the agency managing her just exploited the poor girl.

She can't manage herself because she's not educated. What do you expect?

Looking at this picture again...Wow, she's a model by birth. She perfected the picture

OlaGold said...

Lol, olajumoke should sing. Well if Salawa Abeni could sing and people patronised her ministry why won't olajumoke make it?

Anyway Charles, if you are looking for olajumoke the bread seller, ask TY Bello or check her studio.

The whole thing was staged biko and now that they're done with her, they have dumped her like a bad habit.

Knowledge is wealth. Unfortunately she doesn't have the knowledge to tap deeply into the industry she would have fitted into. The environment is exploitive and can only use her if she fits into the game plan.

white Berry said...

Really she has gone into tin air, they should dig deep and find out what the issue it's.

Anonymous said...

True talk. She wasn't smart enough to make use of the opportunity to propel herself forward. Besides I didn't fancy the stories about her for once. The guy who graduated with a 5.0 from the University of Lagos - Psychology didn't even get as much hype or recognition as she did within that short period.

Yellow Diamond said...

Hmm monitoring spirit, who wake u up from sleep. The last news I heard about her is about her furthering her education, I guess, she wants to focus on that now.

EESAH (Christ Lover) said...

It's not like the whole thing looks like a staged managed conspiracy drama, it's actually a stage managed conspiracy drama aimed at serving the selfish interest of her discoverers (TY Bello) and co. Those with foresight in the media circle and some intelligent persons knew this from the get go. Reason why I wasn't interested in all that Bread seller Brouhaha

EESAH (Christ Lover) said...

Charles Novia knows what he is saying na. He is an intelligent writer and has passed his message across indirectly.

Charles novia who your epistle epp?
Nigeria is facing hard times. The modelling agency or whatever will you give them money to pay her? We have more pressing issues biko. There's time for everything(for everyone to shine). She has used her own opportunity well.
If you are still so bothered about her,you can sing a song like Yemi Alade titled 'Looking for Jumoke'.
Aint nobody got time for this.

So She is supposed to eat and bath with the paparazzi before the haters know she hasn't slipped into oblivion?

Tybello just posted a photoshoot of Jumoke on her page today, she's doing fine!....pple sef. Like they were not complaining abt her being in everyone's face months ago. Now she's on the low they're searching for her. Humans eh......

Yes o. Very important questions.

sisi eko said...

Before nko. I still mentioned this last week that the media frenzy on Jumoke has suddenly fizzled out. That's life. Hopefully she made the best of it while it lasted. Same with the suited windscreen cleaner guy.

sisi eko said...

But she got a nice apartment and a job. Her husband was also helped. Then some money in the bank. I think that is enough achievement though.

sisi eko said...

If it was staged, then they did her a huge favour. Cos she's now popular na. So who was the staging meant to benefit? Lol

sisi eko said...

Why would TY Bello exploit the media with her story when TY herself was already known? She's a celebrity photographer, remember? Makes no common sense to me

Anonymous said...

I think she is in school now. Something .. ethical school. I cant remember. They have tried a lot for her. She is not that beautiful and she is not a good example for our children, but she still made it. All na destiny. I am happy for her.

The General's Wife said...

I partially agree with u but then again,u know it's only "normal" the public would wanna know what's going on with her. Especially as they have kinda stopped updating her SM. I haven't remembered her but seeing this now,i realiSed its Bn a while,a long while if I may add, that I saw her on IG.

Anonymous said...

Can you imagine Nigerians . When we have more pressing issues . People trying to survive , Olajumoke must not be a nigerian then. Reasoning baffles me.

Olaide Davies said...

I think it was a well acted drama too.

Charles, you should channel your efforts into things that matter.
No wonder Nigeria is in the state it is.
