Mystery As High-Flying Sisters Found Dead In Luxury Villa

Two high-flying sisters have been found dead at their luxury villa in the Seychelles after an all-day drinking session.

Annie Korkki, 37, who works for JP Morgan Chase in Denver, and Robin Korkki, 42, a trader from Chicago, died last Thursday.

Staff at the the Maia Luxury Resort and Spa called police after the pair, described as "best friends", failed to surface from their rooms.

Officers found them unresponsive and they were declared dead at the scene. Seychelles police have been investigating but say so far they have found no obvious cause of death.

The pair, said to be healthy and experienced travellers, had arrived on September 15 and were originally due to leave on September 22, but decided to stay on for another two days.

On the 22nd, their butler arrived in the morning and found the sliding door to their villa locked, but later became concerned by the lack of movement.

Police spokesman Jean Toussaint said: "From the observation done by our police officers, there was no disturbance in the room and the two sisters were found unresponsive on the same bed."

Preliminary examinations done show no sign of any violence has having caused their deaths. However, medications were taken from the room to be analysed.

Mr Toussaint continued: "What the police can say about the investigation so far is that the two sisters were consuming alcohol throughout the day."
"And the last time they were seen drinking alcohol was at around quarter to seven and they were helped to their bedroom by hotel personnel at around 8.15 pm."

  3. This is another sad case of substance abuse and aggravated alcohol consumption. I guess both sisters have been involved in binge drinking, mixing of brands and possibly intake of narcotics. Their body system couldn't sustain the large dose of toxicants in thier blood and shut down leading to death. I have seen similar cases in that TV show - A 1000 ways to die.
