  9. I am not sure this is right..no matter the good intentions you have behind it..we Africans especially Nigerians have not yet reached that stage whereby we can accept People living with the infection..our mindset is still very low in that aspect..
This would be another opportunity for people to be mocked or scammed all because one party needs to be loved...
Yes ! There are loads of people living with HIV ..visit LUTH and see what I mean.
Don't add to their trauma by putting them out to the world all because they want love, you know social media is filled with preys .

    1. I think I concur with u, bcus my fellow BVS and their mouth won't be helpful

    2. Your mindset is still very low. Why will regular people have singles mingle and HIV patients won't ? This is the stigmatization we keep preaching about. Keep your opinions to yourself self righteous nut job. They need love just as much as the next person, we all need to be careful when it comes to online dating, why should special rules apply to them? Don't people get mocked and scammed on the regular SnM? WTH! They re living with a virus they re not imbeciles/retards that we have to look out for them, disabuse your mind from that crooked reasoning.

    3. Shut up. Let them find love. They were d ones that asked for it. Why can't u ppl fucking learn to keep ur opinion to urself. Let then look for love here just like others have. Smh for itk bvs sef

    4. Anoy 15:39: may be you are new here or not a good follower of this blog, BVS in this category demanded for this,,Stella is only giving them the platform to mingle.

  10. I don't just think this is wise since bvs can be very deceitful... aniwai pls just be careful n goodluck to you guys.

  11. I know you have a good intention but I dont think this is right stella, considering the society we live in.

    1. Because people like you refused to accept them. What stupid society?

      Delete
    2. Geez!!!! Shut up. The hiv positive patient asked for it, and now they have.

Just shut it. Most bvs are sensible enough not to use their situation mock them and if they aren't, it's left for those people to ignore them and continue searching for love.

Stella, pls don't listen to these ppl that think they know betterm

    3. Eka, so people can not talk or advise again?
Why do you keep acting like you are possessed?
They asked for it so what If the person that made the comment does not know.
Must you always be rude and lash out at people?
And you claim to be teacher? I pity your students.

      Delete
    4. Nna, the pitying my students line is so stale. Come up with something better abeg. Mtsheeeeew. Dry mo'fo

  16. Very thoughtful and kind of you Stella but I think email would have been best for this cos of the sensitivity cos some might identify a number under anonymous who doesn't even know the status of the person. So I feel email alone would have been better and if d person feel convinced then d person can exchange a number. That being said, another side of me thinks it's not necessary cos creating a special one like this seems like segregation already. Will u do for physically challenged? Will you do for disabled with autism etc? Will you do for widow or widower? Will you do for SS or those with terminal disease who wants to love and be loved with the little time left? So I feel SnM post alone might be idea but u must state some criteria or status when posting like marital status, health etc....Above all, great work you are really doing and God will continually makes u a channel of blessings to d world!

  21. Stella, as much as a love your ideas and creativity, this particular idea is not popping, please scrap it. One of the biggest problem we have with hiv is stigmatisation, people that know there statues are privately managing it and for obvious reasons would not want to be ridiculed and I doubt will come here and share telephone numbers and Bb pins. Then again I might be wrong, just my 5 cent

    ReplyDelete
  22. How come nobody is participating? Stella maybe they should use emails to make it discreet. They can set up an email for this purpose. My 2 cents.

  23. There is a strict policy in stigmatization and confidentiality in the HIV program which every health worker knows and adhere to. If these folks demanded for this, then let's give them room to exercise their right in the society. God knows if I fall for one, there's no thinking twice about it. I've worked for complete 3 years in a HIV facility and I've seen it all. They are just victims of circumstances. We owe ourselves da duty to love, care and be there for each other no matter da circumstances. If u think its gross to have the virus. You need to have to think again coz 80% of them are healthier than you.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Calling them special people is stigmatization on its own..they are the same normal and everyday people like the negative ones .

  25. HIV+ people, may God bless you all. Your souls are not HIV+, in God you are pure. To those seeking Love, it's best you try a foreign platform to seek love, even if you don't meet, the anticipation of pouring out your heart to that person across the screen would keep you loved, hopefully. Like some have expressed here, it's very tricky to trust Nigerians with this kind of Info. Or better still, go to the HIV unit at any hospital in Nigeria and stake out for a newly diagnosed person. You never know, although such info is kept under wraps, it's likely you may just find love with a like-mind and status who wouldn't judge you. Also, be careful because according to info, HIV+patients can re-infect fellow HIV+patients with a different level of HIV+. In all, play it safe. Not everyone contracts HIV+ through intercourse, there are the needle 'sharers' and who knows, that "manjuice"that some ladies love to gulp may have strains that could get lodged in the body cells. Just saying, in not a doctor though. Overall, good luck and God bless.

PS: Loving over the computer could be a safer way of connecting with a fellow human and if you need a quick shag, take loads of Condoms and Femidoms for you both and don't tell your sexmate your status, once you are playing it safe. Hit and keep it moving. God bless.Stella post, sharp, sharp.
