Why Should We Go To Church?

I am off to Church in a bit but i am wondering...

why must we go to Church?
those who worship from home are they any better or worse off?or it doesnt matter where or how as long we serve God?

If you ask me,I would say that you leave browsing right now and spend a few minutes just meditating on Gods word if you cant go out..

See ya!

As the saying goes.. if Joy is guaranteed us in the morning, why cry at night? So you see my dear, let not thy heart be burdened. Drop it all at His feet. Rejoice my dear, rejoice

  8. Christianity isn't the African way of worship. We have the colonialist slave traders to thank for confusing and hypnotising us into believing that our traditional ways were pagan. The blind adherence to Christian ways is responsible for most of the confusion we suffer in this country. Look at the Asians, Indians and Chinese, they refused to bow down to colonial subjugation. They hold their traditional religions tight. Look at where they are economically whilst we here are confused and be giving all your money to one pastor so that he can travel to Dubai with his girlfriend. Y'all need to wake up. [BHS]

  9. Worshiping God is what can be done even in your private room, meditate his words, share his blessing with others and follow his words. A lot of churches are not leading people the right way. Jesus Christ is the only way to God, accept him as your savior and be thankful of everything you have. God bless our sundays

  11. Bible says that we should not forsake the gathering of brethren (church)
When you go to church,u meet your brothers and sisters in the lord and you'll also hear the word that will make you to be rooted in Christ Jesus

  12. I think we can worship wherever but the scripture encourages us to fellowship with the brethren (othe people of God). And the church is the symbollic house of God

  13. We have met it like DAT,and we just continue like DAT,but when you are in God gathering you feel totally free and happy .

  14. We go because it's a command from the scriptures which says we should not forsake the assembly of the righteous..

  15. I streamed online.

Visiting God's house and hearing His word, listening to the choir sing and seeing people who are bigger and richer than you humbling themselves before God mellows our pride and returns us back to the foot of Christ. It shows us God's Omnipotency and how Mighty he is.

  16. Some of the church goers are evil doers! Take that to the bank.
Now, i go to church to fellowship with brethren, but i am not a church goer.
It sometimes gets nauseating being in the midst of some evil people all in the name of church.
I love God and i'm passionate about the gospel..
I go to church when i want to, and not because its sunday and a church day.

  17. I believe we can worship God anywhere we want.
But to fulfill all righteousness, we should go to His temple and Serve Him. Just as Jesus did in his time

  18. I go to church for so many reasons
    1. The bible says u should obey the words of your pastor nd u shall prosper. No pastor will tell u not to come to church.
    2. The Bible says you should not forsake the gathering of the brethren.
    3. the pple in church seems like a family to me so I go to be with my family.
    4. I do not club, my club is the church, I go there to dance.
    5. I also go to showcase my outfits.
The holy spirit is not just in church but in me so I don't go to church to encouter God.

  19. To showcase my beautiful self, especially when I have a new hairdo or outfit. God is so sweet mehn. Whenever I'm in church, I tend to forget my sorrow, I flow with te rhythm. And because I believe Sunday isn't too much to be dedicated to my maker. He's just the best. I love love Jesus. If u don't love going to church on Sundays, biko change your church ooooooo. 20. I've not been to church more than 3 times this year, I stay at home and listen to Inspiration FM 92.3 from 8:30 to 9:30am, then tune in to Daddy freez of cool FM from 9:30am to 10:30am and I'm so blessed from both radio stations. Today's topic by Daddy freez is (5 Steps to Teleguide your destiny). I evaluate my life compared to the church goers around me and I'm like REALLY?? well I advocate for people to know God on a personal level. My two Kobo.

  21. Cos the bible says to fellowship with the brethren.
There's a great power in like minds coming together and dwelling in the presence of God.
The children of darkness understands this so much that's why they meet in halls, lodges, and what have you, and they don't joke with it.
Heck, they even have their own church!
Wonder why Christians trivialize these things.
Prayer is also a personal thing. You can pray anywhere and at anytime.

  25. There's a lot to be gained, from fellowship with the brethren and discussing the word of God. It helps you grow spiritually.
I've been able to compare my spiritual growth when I stay home with that when I go to church, and they're not the same.

Meanwhile, I want to thank God for his mercies upon me and mine. And for preventing a major disaster in my parish on Friday.
A fire started in the music room inside the priests' compound. It destroyed two rooms, before it was put out by the gallant fire fighters, and some parishioners who were around at the time. Funny enough, the band members' generating set, filled to the brim with PMS, was intact, despite the fact that the electronics placed on it, and everything else in the room was blown to bits. Awesome God!!

Due to the closeness of the structures in the church compound, it would have been another story, if the fire wasn't put out early enough.

Our monumental parish, took us more than a decade and several millions to build. I shudder to imagine what would have happened if the devil had his way. And no lives were lost, thank heavens.

No, I'm not sorry for the epistle.

    Happy new week, fam.

  30. Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support error and roguery all over the earth. Thomas Jefferson.

  31. I was just asking my self the same question Stella but I guess going to church is important. It helps us build our spiritual lives , just that Nigerian churches are annoying these days, all they do is display materialism and focus of raising money for endless projects. I love oyibo churches, 50 mins and ur out.... Naija church 3 hours and u still dey there doing what I don't know. If only churches can just focus on their primary purpose

  32. Stella, u wan run people's business down abi?

Mental slavery for Africans. Even Jesus na black man, but maybe no Nigerian will believe that.

  33. You go to church because it is an instruction from God Himself,He says do not forsake the assemby with the brethren,it is a mandate from God so please follow it.there is time for everything!

  34. Anyone who questions why we go to church should first answer why we go to school? Is it possible to stay at home and read and study? Do you need a school to enroll you for an exam, to rate you or explain or confirm what you read at home or to give you a certificate that you are qualified for what you studied? How significant is a school to preparing one for the material life? If it is crucial then going to church is much more because we are only passengers in this world.

Let is be reminded that we spiritual beings on a journey for a time in this world and going to Church is now what people have turned into -God has become and end to their selfish material desires. Going to church is to prepare us ultimately for the after life, you receive instructions how to live the life after, gathering all the virtues and qualities for the life beyond and in fellowship with our co-travellers because you cannot run the heavenly race on your own. We need each other to lift the weak and to encourage. Going to church on Sunday first and fore most is a consequent of creation of man to rest in imitation of God who rested after his work of creation. It is 3rd of the ten commandment to keep the day of the Lord holy. It is a day of living the covenant and it has a promise of blessings attached to it according to Prophet Jeremiah 59.
