    1. You have not met a madly insane abusive man like my ex husband. Try that tying him up shit but make sure he dies from the beating if not the kind of torture he will subject you to once he's untied ehnn? You probably won't live to tell it as a chronicle. Thank God I got out alive. Story for another day.

    2. Any lady that will try this should just pack her things before he is loose or else another round of beating if not death. For me I will rather walk away than to be killed by a man and the same man will seek forgiveness from God, Olohun ma je and if I could find a man I can trust I will remarry if not na to cross my leg.

  9. Nigerian pastors say the woman should not remarry but the man. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. The people remarrying are not hell bound. Let them focus on teaching these men how to be husbands instead of only teaching them that all it takes to be a husband is to get a wife to submit to them and thats all.

  12. All I know is that I'd not advice anyone to stay back and be battered by their spouse for any reason.

If tying them up and teaching them not to mess with you was so easy, na that one sure pass. But it's not. You untie them and prepare to die. Na to find your way out sure pass mbok.

    2. Had a neighbour whose husband was always misbehaving but felt he was a man so nothing could be done. The night he finally beat up the wife, she threatened to deal with him thru her connections;(*both were graduates),

Very early the next morning tough looking soldiers appeared in our estate and people were just running and hiding

They headed for the husband, descended on him, gave him the beating of his life and he couldn't step out from the very room he was beaten up in for good 3days!

When he finally came out, come and see INSTANT and PERMANENT HUMILITY towards himself, his wife & community. Lol!

      *who is fooling who?

  13. I don't know where the bibles says stay, but you see this domestic violence of a thing, a woman should pack her load and gbaforsaw ie run away. So until she dies ba? Many things require wisdom o,
Once it involves DV, abeg pack your load and go. That's it.
And in this case, she can and should remarry jor

    1. Please what is gbaforsaw?

    2. Gbaforsaw is not igbo, it's a slang I learnt from my elder brother and his friends, they use it instead of running.

  14. My dear it is allowed for couples to separate when experiencing domestic abuse so that the inflicted one can find healing outside that environment i.e move out from that place. Go through a professional, certified and grounded spiritual counselor to assist the healing process and if both parties don't want then divorce could be an option..

Even the bible gives grounds to divorce in cases of infidelity but you are in position to give the person a second chance...your life is important..#saynotodomesticviolence#

  15. The bible says no divorce. If you leave, then leave and stay that way. Ure not allowed to remarry cuz if you do ull be committing adultery. . Being abused feel free to leave the marriage but stay unmarried. #shikena.

    1. Queen, there is something called GRACE in the bible. In this case grace covers you the woman that left the marriage on the basis of either adultery or threat to life.

    2. Nwa Amaka, please don't add or remove from the words in the bible. There is a heavy curse attached to it.
No where was it said that grace covers you to remarry in case of adultery or whatever.

  20. First off, the bible talks about marriage as a thing of joy and happiness. A marriage where the man beats the woman is no marriage as ordained by God

Second off, the worst thing that would happen to any one is to own a bible and still rely on a 'pastor' to read and interpret for them.

The bible never, ever, anywhere talk about a woman divorcing her husband(prove me wrong by citing a book or verse). The bible only talks about a man divorcing his wife or a man puting his wife away. Why? Because a man marries a woman,a woman never marries a man. Biblically a man divorces his wife by giving her a divorce paper(certificate). Culturally where I come from, a man divorces his wife by collecting back the 'ego isi'. The divorce certificate or retrieval of 'ego isi' permits and allows the woman to remarry(before God and man). So enlighten you blind pastor purporting to teach the equally blind 'followers'.

Even though there are a lot of violent men out there, there are as well lots of vile spitting women out there. Records have shown that most women are beaten for what they said more than for what they did. Tell me the equivalent of this in the bible... 'It will be better for a man to live in the desert/rooftop than live with a nagging wife'. This is because such a wife either causes the man hbp/ early death or makes the man commit murder.

But then does it show equality than a man beats his wife while she is awake while the wife can only revenge when the man is asleep or engaging other men to do it for her

    1. Please my dear change your mind set. Mark 10:12 and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. You see, there is grounds for a woman to divorce her husband.
Malachi 2:16- the man who hates an divorces his wife, says the LORD the God of Israel, "does violence to the one he should protect"... so be on guard and do not be faithful.
If you go through the bible, for both men and women, anyone that divorces and marries another, commits adultery. Except on grounds of immorality.
My opinion, if the marriage becomes toxic, REMOVE yourself from it. Whether to remarry or remain single is not for me to decide.

    1. Youngman, is it Jesus who put these words in your mouth/ heart?

A man who beats his own wife is A FOOL cos the bible also asks the man if he has started beating his own self and already neglecting personal care for his own body whenever he misbehaves

A man who doesn't know his own weakness and limits and that of his wife so as to manage their marriage successfully as "the head" is simply an empty head and A COMPOUND FOOL! That nothing good will ever come out from such a beast with such base thinking even a peaceful life you no ever get, how can you then build peace in your own very home even your "quote" says "GO AND STAY ON TOP OF YOUR ROOF" than turn your home into a boxing ring!

      JESUS, THE HEAD
      JESUS, THE PRINCE OF PEACE
Follow Him so your wife can follow you: "BAT" LEADER( BAT blind).

  22. The Bible did not talk about domestic violence much because as at the time it was written, I believe hitting a woman wasn't their thing then as women where treated as gods. The bible did not also talk much about a woman divorcing her man much because then it was only the man that can wake up and send his wife back to her parents. Women were not really given that chance to make certain decisions.
That is why the revised standard bible which is closer to our generations tends to generalize it by using words like partner, spouse etc.

Wisdom is profitable to direct. If you stay and die in an abusive relationship what will be your gain?

No reasonable pastor will advice you to stay in a marriage that your life is threatened. The least advice is temporary separation and prayer. You don't expect the pastor to make that decision for you.
Remember that your pastor is A MAN OF GOD not GOD OF MAN.

  23. You should get out of the relationship, cause it is better to be alive as single lady than being killed, violence is in the blood of those committing the crime they will starting pleading seriously after the act, when you're still alive, accepting that has always sent so many people to early grave

  24. Each time someone hits you - you need to realise that it's either your kidney, your stomach, your nerves, your brain, your liver etc that's being hit. What gives another human being like yourself the right to damage your organs, which has the potential to lead to death or be maimed for life (we've heard or seen many instances). Stop and think!!!!

A man who truly loves you will protect, provide, and proclaim, and vice versa.

Imagine why abusive people keep killing people with this thought pattern; who gave him the right to even beat/ kill over SOMETHING?
So no SANE way to handle issues btw just "two pple?"
So, how many times has the man misbehaved and you beat him & didn't take his "shit?"

Na wa... God pls, SHINE YOUR LIGHT for YourPeace

My uncle almost had heart problems over a disrespectful woman, d wife insults my parents anytime my uncle reports her to us, he's so gentle, he doesn't talk much, if he comes home late, she won't serve him food, she locks him out of his own house if he stays out till 7pm,he will sleep in a hotel, eat out until he could take it no more, he called her people n broke d marriage calabash, returned BP, this woman is begging till today, my uncle never remarried but he has a live in partner, he's so huge now n healthy.

  28. A man that bits a woman is actually stupid.
Although, some women can be so boring and very annoying. Their behaviour sometimes is the reason their men want to bit the hell out of them.
I don't support DV, when it becomes necessary, i advice that the woman should run for her dear life.
As for getting married or remaining single, hmmm... Speechless!

  29. Don't judge until u've walked a mile in my shoe, i used to say this until when i got married and surprise! Surprise!.. like an Okrika bail, mine was not just a physically abusive marriage, it was also emotionally, verbally and sexually abusive. Since in Nigeria, if a woman initiates divorce she will be at the losing end; not to talk of with two kids and no job yet, i prayed, waited, was depressed, Suicidal, and even learnt to be abusive too just to fight back. Finally he moved in with his GF and i finally moved on. God has finally remembered me. I felt i was punished for judging divorced women. At 28 make i no remarry? I should fornicate or masturbate or circumcise myself? Show me a male divorced pastor that has not remarried or is not fornicating. The Bible was written in the days of good men Mbok. Bye.

  30. Let me tell you something: People who blame women from leaving very abusive marriages after enduring hell on earth are those who are having a good time in their marriages or at least, a fair enough time in their marriages. They are not wearing the shoes. They just think they understand. If a woman starts having psychiatric/mental issues due to the marriage abuse and the husband succeeds in pushing her back to her family, these same 'saints' will be the ones telling the world that 'that woman is not mentally ok' as she passes- by, even when her sanity has been restored. Everybody, cane your line as you fit, with morals added........look at nobody's face. Who go die? Na who dem go call 'craze'? You the matyr?
