Happy 56TH Independence Nigeria

Happy Independence Nigeria...you will survive..If you have to crawl, please crawl but take us to the promised land...NIGERIA GO SURVIVE!

Nigeria is 56,
The odds we did survive,
arise salute the nation,
come join the celebration,
A people united will never fall
the sun will shine and the rain will fall ,
on our land, vast and mighty,
richly blessed by the Almighty ,
Like bees in a hive
We work so hard
to make the honey flow
but not without the use of the hoe hoe! hoe!

Arise salute the nation
come join the celebration,
Nigeria is 56
Nigeria is 56
......Song by Bongos Ikwe -Nigeria is 25th

The name Nigeria was taken from the Niger River running through the country. This namewas allegedly coined in the late 19th century by British journalist Flora Shaw, who later married Baron Frederick Lugard, a British colonial administrator.

    1. At 56 what does 9ja Ave to offer. Every man 4 himself. May God help us to survive this trying times and reward our hustle. Cos if we depend on our selfish govt,we will die of hunger and they will keep looting 4 all dre generations. Bunch of recycled old fools. God bless 9ja. Cos I'm proudly Nigerian.

  8. Nigerians are very funny. Car in front of me had a bumper sticker on it that reads: "PRAY FOR BUHARI" Psalm 109:8

When I got home I opened my Bible to the scripture, read it and started laughing.

Psalm 109:8-" Let his days be few and brief and let others step forward and replace him. Can you imagine😄😄😄😄😄

    ~ Nigerians are thoughtful

My musings....I'm beginning to wonder if Nigeria would have being better than where she is today ,even better than the likes of south Africa in some areas, if independence wasn't achieved early.

  24. Happy Independence Day Nigerians.
Today is also my birthday and I'm really very grateful to God almighty for sustaining me even against great odds. I say may his name be praised!
My wish is that Nigeria my beloved nation should remain one. Experience rapid economic turn around and industrialisation.
I'm a strong believer of one Nigeria because I have faith in us and what we can do as a people. Nigeria is a very complex country and no country within our borders has got the economic power or military personnel to absorb our refugees if Nigeria should split. Is it Niger Republic, Chad, Benin Republic, or even Cameroon? Nigerians will suffer in their millions.
All those who are advocating for Biafra should learn about the hardships that the landlocked countries of the world experience. Apart from Luxembourg, Switzerland and one other nation, the remaining 35-40 landlocked countries have the lowest Human development index in the word and this is largely because they all usually have economic handicaps due to International laws that makes it almost impossible for them to have access to the sea and air space. And to all those that believe in Biafran it's OK to agitate for a breakaway but don't forcefully drag everyone into this ideology. That you don't believe in one Nigeria is not enough reason to make all of us not to believe with you.
    NIGERIA WILL SURVIVE!
GOD BLESS THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN, EAST OF THE NIGER.
GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.
(mrs. Stella dimok-korkus, Abeg play me Great Nation by Timi Dakolo *wink * it has more meaningful lyrics than even our national anthems combined.)

Happy independence to Nigeria.I am grateful for life. The president has spoken words of hope and I believe this recession will end soon.i pray for peace for this nation,i pray my kids won't feel sad to possess the green passport. I pray for good health and long life to see Nigeria prosper in my lifetime. My kids children will not grow up to chant 'up Nepa'.
I pray for the naira to appreciate in value because things are so expensive in the market.May this independence be the beginning of our better years as Nigerian citizens.
