Labour Room Drama 53 And 54

Drama!

LRD 53

Dear Stella
I frequent your blog often but don't comment no vex o, just felt I should share my own story on labour room drama, it all started during the early hours 31st of December 2014 I was watching TV when I all of a sudden felt my baby seriously struggling to move down my cervix area, it was really discomforting I stood up and went to pee, after which I wiped off only to see a blood line on the tissue paper, immediately I remember antenatal classes where we were told most labour comes with the show, 30min later labour started no joke, it was so painful but I couldn't handle it because my menstrual cramps no be for here, I went into the bedroom and immediately hmm with hubby while labour was on he didn't know, after every every he left for work @6am while I
😴 from 2am-11am no joke, I woke up at about 11:30am and left for the hospital, I was 41weeks according to calculations, when I got to the maternity, I told one of the midwife that I was in labour and she smiled and said I don't think so but let me just check you, ewww Na that checking make me know say I Truly dey labour, Stella fingers 1234  entered and she started shouting 8cm and you are so calm,  oh my God I have never seen this before where do you leave? Where's your husband?

They got my file out and called my hubby and told him I was in labour, meanwhile I was given a bed o,  Stella sleeping continueg despite the pain, they later woke me up @six in the evening to my greatest surprise hubby was right there smiling, the next thing he said was you where in labour and I made love to you, what if the baby had grabbed my penis in anger?

now contractions were frequent 5min intervals still yet I was calm,  one of the midwife insisted she delivers me immediately because the drama she expects of me was not forthcoming, i walked into the favor room, then came the hot drip that was when I felt the urge to push I no wait for instructions o I started pushing I pushed about four times and then heard my hubby say baby please push harder see the babies head ,I tried again no way the next thing I was cut with a scissors and Oga flew out, he was caught in the air and weighed 4.5kg, he didn't cry until the cord was cut off.

Trust me yash never recover up till today and the stitching was painful infact I didn't know when I started singing praise and worship but all the same am happy to be a mom despite the stretch marks. leg cramps, sleepless nights(vampiring) as I call it, the moment you see the baby, you feel grateful to God Almighty.
Pics for your eyes only Stella,  make una no vex for the long write-up, I Don edit tire

Lovely..those of you do this love making when in labour, why do you do it?cos if the baby is dropping, the pounding can harm the head, right? When i ask questions,it means i dont know, every process is different and i didnt go into labour so i dont know most of this drama and i hated anything S3x from 7months preggy...

LRD 54

Good day Mrs. korkus, would love to share my experience too, to encourage others.
It all started when I was past my EDD like 3days, then the doctor said if I don't have contractions till my next visit that I would be induced or operated on, I was dead scared.
So I stopped visiting the hospitals, and i told no one about the latest development. My husband was not always around but kept asking me since we are first timers, I told him the doctor says there was mistake with the date.

7 days later when I felt nothing, I went for check up, the doctor checked me, he said nothing like contractions that I should prepare to be induced. I was afraid so I feigned receiving a call and left the hospital. The doctor kept calling but I did not pick his call, so he called my husband who told me to go back that the doctor says if I don't, the baby might die, by then I started quoting all scriptural verses I know that promises us long-life.

I didn't go until Thursday, by that time I was already 42 weeks gone,  on getting to the hospital I saw a woman we attend antenatal together she has put to bed, on that spot I started crying, then she said I should just allow the doctors do their work.

I listened to her advice saw the doctor and he said I should enter the labour room, when he checked me, I was already dilated 2cm, and the doctor said don't I know am in labour I said no that am not feeling anything strange, so I was asked to go bring my bag. But I didn't go back because of stories I hear that if u go early the doctors and nurses will practicalize with you, I summoned courage went home  told an older friend of mine who encouraged me to exercise and I shouldn't go back to the hospital until the pain is coming like 5mins interval, so I bore all the pains,  until 12:30am, when the contractions were very intense. My friend drove me to the hospital where the doctor immediate passed a drip in my body, I called husbandman and he never allowed my phone to rest , saying do I want to kill him?

That I have been in labour since morning and I never mentioned it to him. But I told him that  not the issue, all I want now is prayer.
So I asked the doctor when am likely to put to bed, he said in 30mins time when it was time I started saying doctor you are a liar the time is gone past 30mins and the baby is not yet out.

So mins later I felt the urge to poo-poo and told the nurse, she said I should do it on the bed I said no I can't poo-poo on the bed, as she turned back I came down from the bed, immediately they  saw me, they(nurse and doctor) carried back on the back and almost immediately I pooed and my baby was the poo. I felt relieved and started singing songs of praises. My baby would be 2 by January . All glory to God.

hmmm i hope you know you took a risk doing it your way?I rejoice with you but dont try it again oh.

    2. Very stupid too....If all you wrote here is true, I wonder how your hubby copes with you. Very annoying! Because of your selfishness you left your baby in the womb for a whopping 42 weeks! You're lucky the child survived it. Oshisco.com

    4. 2nd poster didn't do well, but cut the insults out! My mum is a medical doctor who you'd say should know better. She was pregnant with my brother for 11months without being induced or anything. She waited for labour as the baby wasn't distressed. My brother graduated from uni with a first class in electrical engineering. That most women give birth at 9months doesn't mean it is so for everyone. Everybody is different and the poster is entitled to her fears and reservations.

My dear it's same with me oo! I was administrated 'pitosin' I slept off immediately, only to be woken up that I should push.
As per sex during pregnancy, Mmmmmmm! It's usually 'enjoyment galore' from beginning till I pop, in fact, my 1st child, made love barely 1 hour before contractions started. Baby n0 2, about 3hours before I birthed her.

I hope you know babies stop growing, the amniotic fluid finishes and then the baby skin starts getting folds when they overstay in the womb???

When I asked my Doctor what happens if baby stays for more than 42weeks, he gave me the explanation you wrote, I then asked him, bikoo what of all those 'miracle babies' that stays up to one year in the 'womb' he said Ify, bikoo rapu okwu, ara ku na mu na Chukwu and we both burst out laughing.

  32. Oh Stella, the sex does not affect the baby o. Infact when due and baby not coming doctors even advise sex, or stimulating the nipples. I had sex 2 nights before my baby. My last pregnancy i had sex from day 1 till end lol and devised all sorts of preggy friendly styles.

Mhen you tried o, pushing out a 4.5kg baby, I hope you do kergels religiously? Also try and sit on hot water mixed with oregano and ginger, it will increase blood circulation to that rrgion and help tighten it.
