Labour Room Drama 83

This is easy like Sunday Morning...HA!

Hello Stella,
Wonderful work you are doing. Seems our LRD folder is getting empty as you have reduced the LRD to one per day . I sent my 1st baby LRD, http://www.stelladimokokorkus.com/2016/09/labour-room-drama-22-and-23.html )   and promised to send the 2nd. I was favoured with both pregnancies and I thank God for that because he knows that I need it due to my circumstances……story for another day.

So this pregnancy was just like my 1st only that the vomiting was reduced but I had to make sure I eat. Do you know that 2weeks to giving birth, I fell and it wasn’t funny. My boy ‘wee wee’ on the floor and I don’t know, had just bath for him and as I stepped out of the bathroom carrying him, I slipped, sideways, by legs went 180 degree, I can’t describe the pain knowing that my hip and joints were already sore from pregnancy.

I managed to get up but couldn’t walk after resting a bit, I somehow dragged myself to the car and called a friend to meet me up and I drove to the hospital…..the devil is a liar. I was weeping like a baby, the pain was out of this world, had to do a scan to be sure baby was fine and was given pain relief.  Battled with this, for over a week and I got better.

To the day of delivery, I was 38weeks and 5-days, I had started my leave that week and was trying to compare with my 1st because it was same month. The day before was at my neighbour’s place for the naming of their baby and even discussed how have asked God to ensure my delivery is in the morning because of my experience with the afternoon nurses for my 1st. That night I couldn’t sleep, was just staring at the ceiling and even record my boy sleeping and ‘jarupaing’.

Around 3am, I starting feeling some kind of pinch, this continued every 30mins n stopped.  It continue to reduce till around 7am and I noticed the interval had reduced to like 10mins but painful this time around. I had to rush to bath and by 7.30am I drove down to the hospital, by then it was 5mins apart.

Made some payment when I got to the hospital around 8.10am and because I wasn’t so sure if I was in labour, left my bags in the car, and as usual, entered the labour room and said I might be in labour. Was asked why and if have seen any show or if my water had broken, said no and just told them what I observed. The nurses calmly said ‘’okay lets just check you’’, with all the student nurses around. So I laid down and she checked and just screamed ‘’ehe ehe ehe you don over 9cm o’’ ‘’wey ur bag’’, said in the car that I would go and get it because it was just outside the ward, ‘then she was like ‘ no way!, you no fit go anywhere, remove your clothes’....

I had to give one of the student nurses the car key to get the bags. As I laid down the pain just intensify and I was shouting as it felt like advance menstrual cramp. The nurse was so nice, my baby came out around 8.25am, the timing was just like my 1st and both are first Wednesday in August 5th and 7th. I was moved to the postnatal ward and was discharged the following morning.
I really thank God for my experience because it can only be Him.

HA..This was like childs play oh...so easy!
