Multinational retail store, PEP Stores has joined hands with Save Our Needy to reach out to vulnerable women and children as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The retail giant has constantly made commendable efforts to improve the lives of host communities over the years.

Save Our Needy (SON) is an international non-profit organization primarily focused on ending extreme poverty through the promotion of education for vulnerable children as well as youth and women empowerment.

A generous donation of items including clothing, toys and baby nappies worth over a million naira was presented to the Save Our Needy team represented by the CEO, Ms Marvella Odili and the Program Manager, Mr. Jerry Odili, on September 30th 2016 by the PEP Stores team (Dynamos).

Widows, single mothers and internally displaced persons (IDPs) will be the main beneficiaries of this partnership.

Ms Marvella Odili expressed great joy and appreciation as she received the donated items.

I do shop in Pep in Enugu, their clothing are relatively cheap, but I didn't think that the quality of their clothes are poor.

    4. Why not create an avenue to meet with these people, that way you can determine who needs your help...how many of the people who fall under this category have Internet access? How many of them can present a good business plan in writing?good initiative but I advice you reconsider.

    5. I have said my mind anon. You know every man with different prices, and for the record, I am not an employee of the company. I am in a financial institution. Sometimes you have to reason with organization and individual especially this period where things are going up by the minute. It is by God's grace that people /organisations are employing and also giving out.

How can these group of people you mentioned as the beneficiaries follow you on the listed social media handles when most of them do not even have good phones?
Some of them do not have browsing phones, their neighbours will inform them and apply for them, so how do you really want to touch their lives with the last condition?
Do you find needy people on Instagram, twitter, facebook, etc?

  15. save our needy, I have sent you a mail concerning my neighbour, Mrs Agabi, pls look into it. She does not have a good phone and not even well educated, the small Nokia she was using fell into water and now faulty. She is very enterprising. When you come, you will meet her and see the small things she is selling, she can barely feed talkless of sending her kids to school or pay house rent.

  16. Oya Stella, over to you, only you have the right to nominate someone here except you want me to assist you. lols.
For instance, mama Emmanuel, the Ikorodu woman with three kids that her husband ran away, Stella Ogbu wanted to help her with some okirika clothes to add to her small business but her number was switched off. I think she should be helped by save our needy and some other needy bvs like that.

  22. @Oby O No one is required to write any business plan. Potential beneficiaries should just give a good explanation of how they intend to use the donated items for start-up business and how they intend to sustain the business. Thank you.
