Below are the verbatim remarks of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, in Abuja today while receiving the just released Chibok girls.)

"First, let me say, we must praise the Almighty God for bringing you back after so many months.
Before I say anything further let’s just say a word of prayer together.

Let us pray.

Our Father in Heaven, we bless your name, we thank you because there is no one like you, thank you for being so good to us, thank you Almighty Father for these ladies.

Father, even as you have brought them back, we pray that you replenish, resuscitate them, and revitalize them with good health so that they can be more successful and happier than they were ever before.

We pray that all of these girls that you have taken care of even while they were in captivity, I pray that you will continue to take care of them.

I pray that you will uphold them, let it be well with them. We pray for those who are still in captivity that all of them will be returned to us. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.

Welcome back girls!

I am sure you know that the whole country has been waiting for you to come back, all these many months, the whole country has been waiting that one day we will see you again and we are very happy to see you back!

We are going to bring your parents, your parents will be coming here to join you.

You can’t immediately be taken out of here because we need to be sure that you are in very good health.

I am sure are going to be very well taken care of. We have provided very good accommodation for you where you will stay where you will sleep and your parents will come and meet you there also.

We are also going to see to it that everything that you require going forward, perhaps your education, those who need to go back to school, those who need to find employment, we are going to make that we make all the provisions for you.

The Federal Government is very committed. The president in particular, has asked me to tell you, how excited he is. When you were away, he kept saying that if it were his daughter he wouldn’t even know what to do.

So we are all very excited that you are here. We are all happy that God has preserved your lives and brought you back.

We know that very soon all will be well and I am sure that when you meet with your parents they will be very excited to meet you.

We have already contacted them, they know where you are, and very soon they will be joining you here. So we are all looking forward to how you are going to settle in very nicely. The doctors have all the kinds of treatment that you will need, so you are all welcome back and we are all very excited to see."

    1. My sister. I pray they remain strong. People can be wicked though. To those who say no girls were kidnapped, a few questions. Which Nigerian school has pictures of its students and is media savvy? If I interview you in your language, what language am I expecting a response in? If they spoke no English, how did they gain admission abroad? What role did the previous government at state and federal levels play in handling the crisis and communicating the situation? Until this happens to you, you won't know what happens in such situations. I pray this never happens again.

    2. Pls hide your ignorance. At the bbog walk almost two years ago, their names and pictures were listed. The names and pictures have been at the falomo roundabout, ikoyi Lagos for almost two years. Its important we begin to think with the brain almighty God gave us instead of through your anus. The names and pictures are still at the roundabout. Go there.

  18. You Know, lots on here say Chibok girls is a scam outta religious sentiments. They actually think that even if the kidnapping happened, it's in the North, and most of the girls will be Muslims. So they don't care hence claim it's a lie. But they don't know that most of the girls kidnapped were Christians. Look @ their names above pple. It's hi time yall borrowed yourselves some brain and start thinking straight without religious sentiments. These girls were actually kidnapped from a Christian community in the North. I was actually in the North when the kidnapping happened. And it's real as heck! Only if yall knew what these girls and their families have gone through so far. Left to most of yall here, you'd say all Boko Haram bombings in the past were fake not until they started bombing Christians then it now dawned on yall that it wasn't. So you turn a blind eyes to the bombings coz u thought its happening in the north and most or all of the casualties will be Muslims. SMH. When would yall stop letting religion becloud your sense of reasoning and start thinking like pple free from religious hatred and mumugiosity?

Tell your fellow lunatic Muslim brothers to stop shedding innocent bloods all in the name of religion. Why is your Allah so blood thirsty? Why must their be bloodshed anytime 'it' is thirsty? God forbid!!!

    4. Shut up jor! Muslims have been bombing abd killing chriatians since time immemorial, shebi these girls were kidnapped cos they r christians .or have u ever heard any terrorist shout 'Jesus is Lord' before throwing bomb? Muslims are the major problem of the north, they dont want to hear of any other reilgion we in d south here and even in the east dont kill for religion or for our God we let him fight and prove himself as God. But these ur brothers in religion are ready to destroy the world in defence of their god. Beg ur immams and all to call them to order, maybe ppl would stop hating u guys. Mtschew!

    6. If you may ask me both Muslims and Christians are the problem we have in this country. Agreed some Hausa Muslims in the north are intolerant same as some Christians. So it's better we leave religion differences aside and focus on what we have in common which is being Human.

  23. It's a shame the manner some of you reason here, it's truly out of the world. I am amazed reading some of your comments. Most of you have TV sets at home, what stopped you from watching your TV to see how frail and unkempt those young girls were looking?
Since it was a scam, your "Hero" created the scam and could not execute the scam and yet looted the funds meant for the scam with Dasuki and their PDP members.

They had the opportunity to stop the scam. They had names of the so called "scammers" who created Boko haram to go after. Why didn't they stop it?
I guess this is the reason they shared our money among themselves since Chibok/Boko haram was a scam. It's a scam because it did not happen at the East or South.
Go and watch TV and see if those frail little girls will be part of your scam. If it's scam why don't you participate in it so that you can face same situation faced by the young girls in the past years.
It's a scam because you are in your comfort zone, if others in war zone are suffering in Nigeria you don't care.
So do you want to tell me Switzerland Government that participated in their release are also scammers?
Do you want to tell me International Red Cross who participated in their release are scammers as well?
We all know most of you hate PMB because he is "Hausa"even before election but God made him your leader. Time to get over yourselves.

Pray you and your family members do not face such "scam".
Time to STOP your senseless and insensitive comments.
What those girls have seen in the past years, I won't even allow my enemies to participate in such "Scam" as you all believed.
    Nonsense and ingredient.

    2. 👆👆👆👆👆 stupidity on display. Has it occurred to you to check the names and faces against the original names and faces? Who is intolerant if not you? How do you explain the loss or lack of understanding of English language by STUDENTS who were on their way to take an examination that is in English language? Unless there is concrete proof as to how their faces have lost the basic shape they were born with, people like me will still say with conviction that the "Chibok girls" abduction is a scam.
N/B: I tried to be objective in stating my opinion, except on the first line. That's how to write or talk. Gtab intelligence, for once!

  25. Chibok Girls story big scam, with confusing story left, right and center that never adds up. Which employment do they want to give girls that didn't finish writing their WAEC. This government keeps distracting Nigerians with sensational stories that deviate the minds of Nigerians from pressing needs and glaring view of the clueless and inept attitude of this dispensation. When they want citizens to start fighting they throw chibok girls scam or some senseless corruption story with fictitious images of monies, and nigerians start fighting amongst themselves forgetting this government doesnt have a working budget, the even padded budget hasnt been implemented, so people are just cruising on. There is hunger in the land, there is a high level of suicide borne out of frustration. Immorality is there order of the day, unemployment all time high, loss of job high.
it is well Nigeria, this too shall pass.

  27. Jaymoore why are you wasting your time explaining common sense to people that lack common sense.
A lot of them are ignorant as hell. The few that went to school as graduates didn't pass through school. School passed through them.
They are not exposed, heck a lot havnt even worked in organisations where you seat in meetings, share ideas with people of different tribes and nationalities.
They are too close minded and ignorance reigns supreme in their mind.
Stop wasting your efforts on people that will never understand. It's a lost cause.
