Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

Hmmmm....This should be easy right?

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
CANADA OR LONDON?

Hello Stella ,may God continue to bless the works of your hand.
Here goes my chronicles , I'm a 31 year old lady ,beautiful ,educated, not fully employed but do some small small contract jobs ,I also have 2 men in my life let's name them X and Y. I've know X for 5years but we've never met in person ,he is from the south south area like me,he's 49 (I like my men a little bit older,so the age is not a problem before BVN's start cussing me)he has a 16 year old daughter but has never been married.

He is well educated ,a Canadian citizen and has a good job.we've been on and off cos he always tells me he will come to Nigeria but always ends up changing his mind,so I had to free him until about 4months ago when we started talking again after almost a year .

His dad suffered a stroke recently so he is planning to come in January 2017,he plans on staying for 2weeks ,see his dad and me and go back not mentioning anything about seeing my parents cos we discussed that about 2months ago.i really like him.

I've known Y for about 4years ,he is based in London but we've never met,he is 40,from a Muslim family but turned christian 15years ago,he has a job (not so cool job)but he earns well,he is living illegally in the UK and he is very bad with English-speaking and not yet a British citizen .

He has never been married and no kids. When we started talking initially he said he likes me and want me as a wife but I never took him seriously cos he always says some annoying things like ''marry me and I'll changer your life'' .

We met 2weeks ago and I must say the chemistry between us was awesome. He is like the perfect man I've been looking for ,what attracted me to him is his love for God (he knows the word a lot),a worker in church, funny ,cool headed ,doesn't drink or smoke and he is extremely caring ,I invited him over to where I was staying in London ,he met my aunt and her husband and he told them about his intentions towards me , he also spoke to my mom and siblings in Nigeria.

he invited me over to where he stays to let me know he doesn't have anything to hide and showed me all his recent medical reports to show he doesn't have a problem in case I'm thinking he isn't married cos of a reason .one thing led to the other we kissed and made love (protected sex)and it was explosive . We saw frequently for the 2weeks.I was leaving London few days ago and he brought 2 big bags of stuffs he bought for me and an extra bag full of items for every member of my family.

He followed us to the airport waited till I checked in before he left with my aunt.I was stunned. He is already drawing out a business plan for me on what I can do (he is ready to foot the whole bill). For the past 1week he calls my mom everyday to check on her and pray for her cos she's been ill for months. He also made me and my family understand that he can't travel out of UK for now if we are to do any wedding preparations but his family will represent him and all the wedding prep can take place.

He says it's my choice if I want something big or small but it doesn't make sense doing something big since he won't be present. He says since I have a valid visa I can always visit him so we can start a family,I have a valid 5years visa .He wanted to order for a car for me when we spoke on phone yesterday cos I'm back in Naija and I said ''wo wo wo slow down oga''.

So instead he told me if he could get me a ticket for December to come spend a month so we can get to know each other more,I'll be staying with my aunt which he is cool with.my aunt's daughter is having her birthday soon and he says he wants to represent me there. My aunt and her husband already like him,i also noticed people seem to like him a lot even with his bad English.

Now my issue is his bad English ,he can hardly express himself in English except he adds a little bit of pidgin or Yoruba,i feel a little bit embarrassed when he talks outside ,funny enough he Writes well and he is a graduate!

Does good English speaking really matter in choosing a spouse?I've always prayed to God for a good man but this looks too good to be true .And No I'm not desperate for marriage ,I think this is just my season (every lady has their season in case some bvn don't know that)
I've got other suitors too but this is the two I really like .
Thanks Stella.

*Hmmmm the Canadian guy is indecisive and sounds like a NO NO NO...
The London guy sounds too good to be true so you might as well go for it if you like him and stop double dating cos that alone causes confusion and at the end of the day you might make a wrong choice altogether.

When you are really into someone and fall in love with them, their flaws fade into nothing...forget that his spoken English is bad and begin to see him as your personal comedian ..lol
Hmmm it sounds too perfect,I hope it remains that way if you decide to marry him.All the best with him.....Forget that Canada man abeg!

    2. @poster;if i was to make the choice on your behalf,i would go for the london guy..and my reason?? LOVE CONQUERS ALL!!

He doesn't speak well right?? Then that isnt an issue!! Cos its never too late to learn..
Perhaps,he has A good job;and you ve confessed already that he is A GOOD CHRISTIAN and TAKES CARE OF YOU..and that is what actually matters dear!! TRUE LOVE and the FEAR OF GOD!!

Except you have another picture of your own perfect guy;then this here is A good man..

LOVE FOR YOUR SPOUSE and THE FEAR OF GOD is what actually matters..and we have it here starring at you..

I understand that every human loves A spouse who can express him/herself fully when in public;but dearie that isnt enough reason not to consider A good man/woman..

This is just my 2cent tho,but know that finally, you still have the choice to make here...

Do not allow English that is not your fathers' language take happiness away from you. I see you both together already.

stick with him and correct him with love, with time he will perfect it.

Y is living abroad illegally and you're scared of planning a future with him? I wonder what kind of job he does to have so much money to spend. Shouldn't he use the money to settle his stay over day legally?
Why doesn't this bother you but his English? You seem more concerned about a comfortable life which isn't bad but what if he is into drugs and gets caught one day after you've both settled as man and wife, what happens then?
Or maybe I don't understand what living illegally and having a cool job means.
Whatever decision you decide to take, it's your bed and only you will lie on it.
I think you should match brake small and give it time. Don't be in a hurry before you'd regret it all few months in.

    7. Don't you know that sometimes in cases of being illegal abroad, it doesn't matter what you do or how much money you have. Some situations or cases are hopeless and the best thing to do it leave that country!!!
      Or return to Nigeria!
Otherwise you can die there as illegal or be deported whenever arrested or caught by the authorities.
The UK & many countries in Europe is like that. The US too.
Canada unless when you have been rejected and you commit a serious crime, then they'll never allow you again to legalize your status, and you have no other choice but to leave the country.

    1. Forget about Mr Canada. I hate long distance relationships plus in 5 years you guys have never met? If he really liked you he wld have asked you to come visit ages ago. From your description you both are doing ok so money isn't a problem. Also as a citizen he could have visited you if he wanted. It seems likes he likes having you to gist with but I don't think he wants you as a wife or around him constantly. Some guys abroad are like that. They want someone to reminisce about Nigeria with. Even if he likes you, 5 years is a long time to have cold feet. He is coming to Nigeria to visit his father not to marry you.
As for the UK illegal immigrant you said there's chemistry and you seem to like him. He doesn't have much, yet he is generous. (Hopefully he wont change)I doubt its possible to marry someone without a flaw. It's just that in you own case its obvious. Just remember it could be worse than bad english. Tbh I don't think i can cope with that but I guess when you reach a certain age somethings are more important than others. The only problem is that he is an illegal immigrant so he cant offer you stability. How soon will it take him to get his papers? Hope he won't need oyibo wife? What happens if he gets deported to Nigeria pennyless? These are serious questions you must answer before thinking of marrying him. Also I hope you took emergency contraceptives cos that one is another chronicles loading if you didnt. Finally, must it be Mr Canada or Mr U.K? Get a Mr Nigeria.

Since you speak so well, use that one month period you'll spend with him to help him improve. The guy loves you, so he obviously won't pick a fight if you tell him how uncomfortable his speech makes you. So long as you don't make it sound like an insult, then he'll listen to you and get a tutor to help him improve.

Also.. since you're so worried it all seems too good to be true, then the fact that he doesn't speak good English is enough to show you the guy ain't flawless.

So keep calm and enjoy the man! And please oo stop acting too 'holy nwejerish', if he wants to spend on you or buy you things, please let him! Who good girl epp? Lol

  33. Remember that sign on quote Stella put here sometime ago? It said..

"When God wants to bless you, he puts a person in your life. When devil wants to destroy you, he also puts a person in your life. The wisdom is knowing who sent who.."

My dear if you ask me, i think Mr Canada was sent by the devil while Mr London was sent from heaven to you! So it's up to you to use your wisdom and choose the one you want.

But in my opinion, bad English is not and should not be a hindrance to your marriage to the man. It's a problem that can easily be fixes with help from the right people. Tell him to employ a suitor to help him out with that little.. then if you love him like he loves you. Go ahead with the marriage plans, you can do traditional here, then do white and court wedding with him over there. A word is enough for the wise.. good luck.

  34. I totally agree with Stella at the risk of BVs saying I (we on this blog) don't have a mind of our own. If you can get past the spoken English which I doubt I can if I were in your shoes, go for him. Mr Canada screams red flag in all angles. I also pray he remains so. BTW BVs have you noticed converts almost always make the best Christians?

Thou personally I won't be caught dead with a man who cant speak fluently. I will suggest you spend more time with him and get to know him more. You just might be able to get over the whole him not being able to speak well Issh. Besides who English help? But also do pray about it. You didn't say if he already has his residency. Calls my mom and prays for her

. . . we started kissing and one thing led to another
And we made love and it was explosive; huh?

Girl, you made "fornication" not love! This man has not paid your bride price or did I miss something? Which God is he praying to; the "god of this world; the one who tricked Eve to eat the forbidden fruit?"

Wake up girl. The foundation of God stands sure with this inscription; the Lord knows those that are his and let anyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

And mind you, you and this man are "stealing sex" and appearing pious before everyone in the Church. When you marry him, what makes you think that he will not steal sex from other women and hide it from you? Wake up woman! Both you and this man are in error; grave and grievous one!

  68. The poster is knowingly putting her life in high jump, with unsettling situations of looking for husband in men who are either unavailable and unhinged or clearly vulnerable to loose big time in life at the end of the day. Ur caught being illegal, u resources and everything can be wiped off in a twinkle of eye. Staying abroad and getting old without paper is one example of cursed life and hopelessness.

Why must you only "like" or consider men abroad for marriage ?
Don't you see men there in nigeria???
    You go wound...oh!!!
Canada have so many old nigerian men and women looser and twised, singles and wasted people like that. Don't let them use you for an experiment!!!
Dem go take ur head crack coconut, when they bring you in as a spouse or go and marry you!!!
Or even worse theyll rubbish or abandon u at the airport upon arrival, that's a canada people way. Very popular thing that they do all the time in Canada.
Don't go near them if you're desperate or vulnerable and have a weakness that can be taken advantage off.

  70. Poster, does your UK guy hope to get his papers before your 5years visa expires? If no, will you still fill single on your form when you want to reapply for visa or fill married and per adventure they call you for interview (randomly selected) and ask where your husband live, will you say UK?
Also you cannot tell them at the UK immigration that you are coming to see your husband so how do you plan to manage the single and married stories?
Someone had her 10 years visa cancelled at UK immigration with 5 year ban because she slipped and told them she was married while she filled single in her visa application (hubby was still married to someone else for papers). She was sent back on the next available plane.
some people are good at these kind of stuff but I wont advise you to do it. Let him sort his papers out before you marry him or relocate back to Nigeria.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Let me tell you straight since you don't want to tell yourself the truth.

    - The guy in Canada is married or has a long term love arrangement. In 5 years, he's had no reason to visit Nigeria? OK I can accept that, but his parent is "sick" & he's still waiting 3 months to travel? OK. Let me tell you, he's likely visited Nigeria in the years you've known him but didn't see you probably because of his wife.
Your London love is an illegal immigrant making money from fraudulent means and you're embarrassed by him but still think marriage is worth considering but you want to convince us that you're not desperate. You are. There's nothing wrong with wanting to settle down and be coupled up but when you start pretending it's not what you want you end up in messed up situations like these.
My advice, free then both. Be honest about what you need and want in a relationship and only give your attention and time to those who can do that for you.

When we starting courting I realised he wasn't faking it, he is extremely nice and provides for my needs 100%. Infact last year it was through him I relocated to the US.
