Gov Ayade,His Wife And Others Flag Off The 2nd Calabar Carnival Dry Run

The Calabar Carnival Dry Run, which set the clock ticking for the countdown to the biggest street party in Africa, rallied the five different carnival bands, govt officials, the people of Cross River State and also the contestants of Miss Africa 2016 from different African countries.




Speaking during the flag off, Mrs Ayade said the carnival is one of the unique platform that showcase the rich culture of the people of Cross River and they will continue to improve on it to making it bigger and better and His Excellency Prof. Ben Ayade called on Nigeria to use tourism to turn around the economy of the country, adding that it is the only way things can get better.” The Governor and 1st lady of Cross River also used the opportunity to welcome the top contestants for the Miss Africa 2016 and the organizers to Cross River State


Also The Miss Africa 2016 event will be held in the beautiful City of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria’s No.1 tourist destination at the prestigious Calabar International Convention Center CICC on the 26th of November, 2016

    If only they'll use the money used for this carnival in developing their state. The beauty of Cross River starts & ends @ Calabar. I still have not gotten over my horrific experience @ that state. Their people are really suffering.
