Labour Room Drama 106

Hello Ma'am Stella.

I love what you are doing on your blog.

Here is my LRD for my first child. BVs,please cross my Ts and dot my Is.

I got pregnant 2months after my wedding and the pregnancy was a wonderful journey. I kept throwing up at the slightest food intake,i was always spitting too. I had to change all rules at home. No frying of onions or addition of spices in food. No body cream with any form of fragrance or sweet tasting toothpaste. The 9months period was wonderful in fact. I had exceptional strength and vigor. No fever, malaria or tiredness at all. My EDD was 2nd week of august but i exceeded it with one week so i decided to go for ante natal to see a consultant.

When the Doctor checked me,he said that i am past due date so he sent me for a scan but before i went he asked me to climb the bed for some checks. I pulled my pants off and climbed the bed, opened my legs while closing my eyes with my hands as the midwife was watching.

After the doctor checked me,he said Madam you will deliver this night so i ran home to get set. At midnight i woke up to mild pain and mucus plug was already pulled so i knew the hour had come.I waited till morning before my husband called his manager who sent their company's driver to us.

On our way to the hospital ,i decided to show off a little make e no be like say nothing dey do me. I asked him to increase the AC while i was busy snapping my fingers. I got to the hospital and met so many women in labour so i started watching them. At a time i was scared of the whole drama because of the way they were shouting. One woman in particular was shouting Jesu Christi,oh virgin Mary,my father my father,God of Fr Mbaka and so many other names i cant remember now.

I was checked and given a bed for admission. After about 4 hours,no pain yet. Na so i come dey ask the midwife when the thing go start as i don dey see people enter the delivery room, comot with their babies. Not long after that,an IV was set up for me na so i come realise say labour don set. I started groaning and stamping my feet on the ground. My husband was there telling me sorry, doo my baby, you will soon be through so i told him thanks but please go to work so he did.

At a point,i started asking for mercy from the midwives who didnt even care much. All i heard was,nne you will soon be through. Doctor came around to check women in labour so i was asked to come in to be checked only for me to refuse. I told the midwife i cant find my feet and actually the pain seized my legs so I started blowing grammar like a lecturer telling the midwife why i should not go for the check because body dey pain me no be small.

Later the Doctor came by himself to plead with me to come along with him so i did. Doctor ruptured the membrane so water gushed out. I nearly scatter for pain until i was asked to enter the delivery room. Madam push was the next thing i heard so i pushed the first time, they gave me a tear and at the second push,my beautiful baby girl popped out.

Midwife asked me to see the gender of my baby before they cleaned her up. I turned to check on her while they were cleaning her up and saw her eyes wild open and fell in love afresh with my husband and my baby.

I was sutured up and sent back to my room(i walked back to my room). My baby's weight was 4.6kg at birth. I called my husband and told him his princess is here and the next thing i saw him with a bowl of ice cream WOW.

Who takes ice cream after delivery?

To every expectant mother out there, receive your portion in Jesus name. I will not send my 2nd LRD because it is very frightening story.

Thanks

  15. Was scared too when I was almost due and all I kept hearing from people was the tearing episode. But u know what, I wasn't torn and I had no tear at all. My baby weighed 2.75 so I didn't feel much pain down there. So pray and rebuke anything you don't want. Not everyone goes thru a tear or is torn, I am a living witness. I resumed sex with hubby at 4 weeks PPT.
