Labour Room Drama -94

LRD in Waffy diction...LOL

The one and only Mrs. Korks...hailings o.

Here is my LRD.

I got married Feb 1st, 2014 and got preggy almost immediately. Because it was our first, we wanted to register for antenatal on time, and that's how we went to the hosp ooo...was a private hospital, na so the doc begin ask me mumu quest...so you are pregnant??...like who carry belle...meanwhile I was at the hospital and in his office with my hubby o.

Fast forward to ‎after then, we vex go register for another hospital. Then came the several scans and different scary news. I had fibroids co-existing with my child and it was growing. Na so this new doc say he doesn't think I can birth this child naturally o cos of the fibroids. Each hospital visit was a nightmare cos my bp go first rise cos of fear of wetin the doc go talk.

I had pains from the fibroids almost everyday, sometimes I would think I wouldnt survive some...na so I manage the pains o, I still dey go work every day and climb stair case for work though I was always late and penalized such that the debit from my salary almost half the take home sef.

Labour day came o, I went to work the day sef, but it was my normal antenatal day on a Tuesday, so I wanted to sign in and then quickly run go the hospital and come back, but that morning I been see small blood for tissue when I wipe so I say I go just tell the doc when I reach.

Got to the hospital @ 10am, doc say na early labour make I go pack my things return by 5pm. Na so I return to work as I needed to pick my food bag. I tell my colleague say I get headache I wan go house.

I come go house, take my hospital bag, went to my mums and stayed there till 4pm. @ dis point the cramps de come and go small small. We reach the hospital at 5pm, the nurses de yab me say if I de labour I nor go de waka like dis, na so dem give me a bed for ward, me and my mama de jist.

When it was almost 10pm, I was hungry nai I tell my mama say I wan chop, just before the food show, my body just change o...na from that 10pm I nor kon know my self again the pain make me wan begin speak in tongues, notin way I nor talk o...from begging God to forgive my sins...to moaning Ohh Jehovah...lol.

My hubby close from work run come hospital directly. Na so I bear the extreme pain from then till 3am...each time I begged my mum to call the nurses, dem go hala for am say abeg dem de come. then my water finally broke at about a few minutes past 3am and I could feel me pushing on the bed, I begged her again to call the nurses...at this point sleep don de the nurses eyes sef...nai dem reluctantly come o...when the nurse see say e be like na baby head e de see so...She quickly ask me to come down from the bed and walk to the labour room without closing my legs.

At dis point, blood de drip follow me sef, na so I climb the bed for labour room and in like 5mins the baby don come out...doc nor dey, Infact him say na like 12noon the next day I de likely to born sef. Na so my son take show @ 3.20am that day o...na nurse take the delivery. Later the doc come show and finish the process.

Meanwhile as I de shout in the few mins I de the labour room...my hubby was crying for my mama shoulder like small pikin. I still de yab am till today. Lol.

Attached is my son's picture for you dear stella. He turned 2years on Oct 29th....in other news, I de my second missionary journey o...I should birth hopefully anytime soon by God's grace.*winks.

*Hahahahaha I just imagined you walking without closing your legs...

  12. So yesterday, I decided to google what the placenta looks like and when I did, the sight of it was quite unpleasant. As if that wasn't enough, I also learnt that some women eat their placenta after childbirth because it is believed that the placenta is rich in protein and other nutrients. Jesus Christ! Are you kidding me? You guys need to go take a look at the placenta and see what some women eat. Ewwwwwww, God have mercy.
